Work Text:

Mark stood in front of the two doors, nervous. He knew one of them led to unknown horrors, and one of them possibly lead to happiness. Looking around, he realized he was alone.

"Hello?" He called, listening to the heavy silence that fell after. It was dark, too, he realized. So dark he couldn't see his own hands even if he held them right in front of his eyes.

How did he know there were two doors there without seeing them?

Well, his friends had all gone through one of the doors. He wasn't sure which one. The only reason he knew there were two was that another couple came after his friends and went through the other door, screaming after it closed.

Hesitating, he picked the first door, closing his eyes and walking forward. Mark felt something stringy and wet touch his face, and he ran, opening his eyes to horrors unimaginable. Severed eyeballs, blood, fingers, toes scattered about the room, giant spiders, and worst of all, mannequins.

"Ready, everyone? One, two, three!"

"BOO!"   his friends screamed, making him yelp and bump into a wall.

"Oh my god, did you see his face-?" Ethan asked, laughing so hard he sat down.

"That was the best idea you've had all year Felix," Amy commented. Sean nodded along, agreeing with her.

Mark sat up and looked around at his friends, confused.

"But I thought this was the good room?"

"Are you dumb?" Ethan asked, still laughing. "This is a haunted house, stupid. There are no good rooms."

"Oh."

Mark sat on the floor for a while longer, still dumbfounded, before his friends made him get up and forced him to go through the rest of the house.

"So both doors were bad...?"

"Yes," Amy said, grabbing his hand. "Now come on, we have to finish this so we can go home."

"And cuddle?" Mark asked.

"Of course."
