Jeon Jungkook, 25, is a well-known lawyer in Seoul. Add talented, successful, and very, very smart to the list. Although he appears to be all hardcore and serious, he is an actual sweetheart underneath.
He has his routine. Wake up early, do his morning routine, which is basically to take a shower, eat his breakfast, get ready, and leave for the office before seven. Punctuality is a result of his strict routine.
People say his life is boring. After all, he is one of the most famous attorneys in the city. One, because of his incredible work and second — well, he is really good looking. Like really, really good looking. So it's a matter of fact that he is quite famous.
Some say, because of his routine, he is alone most of the time (people really are nosy when you are kinda famous, huh?) and his love life isn't thriving because of it too. Although that is partially true as his life is indeed kinda boring, but his love life….well, it's only because he isn't interested in dating at the moment. That doesn't mean he hasn't dated at all. He did date a couple of times. But all of them left him after sometime in their relationship, saying his lifestyle isn't suitable for them. What do you expect from a busy person? To top it off, he is sometimes quite shy and secretive too. So, he stopped dating after such events.
He actually believes in destiny, pure love, unconditional love even. He believes in love at first sight. Call it cliché or say it only happens in movies or novels or fairy tales, but he believes that love at first sight can happen in real life too. Well, what can he say. As hard as it is to believe, he is a hopeless romantic. So sue him.

One day, when he arrives at his office, he expects the usual greetings and all. But he definitely didn't expect his childhood friendto show up with a man similar to his height but a lot leaner and a bit more delicate looking with thin and small hands wrapped around his friend’s arm.
"Hey...Yoongi hyung?" Said man turns around along with the other man. His eyes go wide as saucers when he spots him and realizes that Jungkook is the one who called him.
"Jungkook-ah, is that really you? Oh my god it has been so long!" He says, moving towards Jungkook with a smile on his face.
They both just stare at each other. After all, they have reunited after so many years.
"What are you waiting for, Jeon? Give me a hug already!" Chuckling, Jungkook moves forward as he wraps his arms around his Yoongi who does the same.
After being in each other's embrace for a few moments, they finally separate. "Uhmm...not to sound rude but who is that person with you, hyung?" Jungkook says, turning his attention to the person.
"Ahh….that’s Jimin, my boyfriend!" Yoongi says as he gestures to him to come forward. When he is face to face with Jimin, he introduces both of them to each other.
"Jungkook, meet my boyfriend Park Jimin. And, Jimin, meet Jeon Jungkook. He’s that little brat from my childhood I told you about." Jimin nods in acknowledgement while Jungkook huffs in embarrassment.
"Hi, Jungkook. Nice to meet you," Jimin says while extending a hand. Jungkook takes it with a smile on his face.
"Hi, Jimin-ssi. It's nice to meet you too." Then he turns towards Yoongi. "Hyung, you didn't tell me the reason for your sudden appearance."
"Well, there's a lot to talk about, Jungkook-ah. Can we go inside your office?" He asks.
"Sure hyung. Let's go." Jungkook says as he asks them to follow him to his office.

"So, you're telling me that there's this friend of Jimin-ssi who owns a bakery but is having some trouble getting official papers?" Jungkook asks.
"Exactly! So he asked if we could get legal help. Hence here we are!" Yoongi says.
"Of course..but I'll be needing a few more details. Uhm, what's his name?"
"Kim Taehyung."
"Okay. I'll get Taehyung-ssi his bakery's official papers but I'll need more details about the bakery and its owner. Now that is Kim Taehyung-ssi and its previous owner." Jungkook says.
"Okay, that will be fine. Also he is younger than you, Kook-ah, so no need for that much formality."
"Fine. Hyung, can you give me his number so that I can get a few more details and after that I'll make sure he gets his bakery's official papers as soon as possible."
"Okay, sounds good."

Taehyung was in the middle of cleaning a few tables at his bakery as it was time to close when his phone rang. He quickly wipes his hands on his apron as he makes his way towards where his phone is placed.
“Hello?”
“Hello. Mr. Kim Taehyung?”
“Yes. May I know who this is?”
“This is Jeon Jungkook. Park Jimin and Min Yoongi told me you wanted some sort of legal help with getting your bakery's official papers.”
“Ah yes! I did ask for a lawyer. So you are the lawyer they told me about. Also thank you so much, Jungkook-ssi, for helping me with this.”
“No, it's really fine, it's my job after all. Anyways, I wanted to ask for details about the previous owner of that place and the current owner that is you, so that I can get your work done ASAP.”
“Okay. Whatever you want to know, ask away. I'll answer them the best I can, Jungkook-ssi.”
“Ah, Jungkook is fine. So let's get started now, it will only take about few minutes, we can do it another time if you are busy.”
“No, Jungkook. I’m free now, let’s get it done.”
“Okay.”
Taehyung answers all the questions with ease and, true to Jungkook’s word, they end within minutes.
“Okay. That's all the info I needed about this case. I'll make sure you get your official papers ASAP and this bakery will officially be yours.”
“Yessss. Thank you so much, Jungkook, this means a lot!”
“This is part of my work, no need to thank me. Uhmm, but you can do one thing though…”
“What is that? Please tell me.”
“I heard that you are really a good baker and very friendly which means we can become friends so I wanted to go to your cafe and give you the official ownership papers myself so that you can treat me something sweet as thank you?”
He doesn't know why he asked that but, after hearing Taehyung's voice, so deep and soulful, he needed to meet this man soon. Damn, he is a goner for boys with a deep voice.
“I am being way too forward with this, aren't I?” Jungkook says again after he notices that Taehyung hasn't replied for a good few seconds.
“No no, you aren't. That's an amazing idea! I'm so excited! Let's do this, just inform me beforehand as to when you are coming so that I can prepare something special.”
He feels relieved that Taehyung agreed. He was getting nervous that he might be weirded out but turns out he is just as excited.
“Sure thing! I gotta go now. I'll let you know when it's done, okay? Bye.”
“Okay, bye, Jungkook, take care!”
“You too.”
After that, Taehyung puts his phone back where it was and continues his work.
There's this feeling in his chest, he quite can't figure it out yet. It’s nothing bad though, just a jittery, happy feeling. He is just surprised that he clicked so well with Jungkook on his first ever phone call with the other. He hasn't even met the other yet, but it still makes him glad about the whole situation.
Leaving with a happy and satisfied sigh, he continues his work. He’s anticipating what fate has to offer in near future for both of them, including when Jungkook comes to his bakery with the official papers, which means he can finally call this bakery as completely, officially his.
He has been trying so hard in the past couple of months to make this place completely his. But a few problems with getting legal work done is making it really hard for Taehyung. This place really means a lot to him as he has been wanting to have his own bakery where he can bake different types of delicacies to his heart's content. So not getting to call this place as completely his was getting Taehyung sad and upset.
He is glad that he asked Jimin and Yoongi hyung for help. Now he can finally get his dream turned into reality. And he is more than happy about it.

After 2 weeks, Taehyung is on the phone with Jimin.
“Yeah, Jimin, he told me he'll come today to give me the papers which I've been waiting for for so long.”
“I know, Tae. I'm so happy for you.”
“I made a few cupcakes for him as a thank you gift. I really hope he likes it.”
“He will, Tae, don't worry.”
“Hopefully. Heck, I don't even know how he looks, how am I supposed to know...wait, you saw him, didn't you? How does he look? Tell me.”
“I'm not gonna say much about him but he definitely is good looking. Like really, really good looking.”
“Hmm… let’s see. I'll talk to you later, Min. Customers are starting to come.”
“Okay bye! Take care.”
“You too! Bye.”
And then Taehyung gets busy serving as the customers start coming in.

It's around 4pm when Jungkook arrives.
Taehyung is doing his usual work when the doorbell chimes, indicating a customer has arrived. As he looks up to greet the customer, his breath gets caught in his chest.
Because there, in all his glory, is a man who looks fine as hell wearing a black suit with a white shirt and a black tie neatly wrapped around his neck, which complements his whole attire beautifully. He literally looks like he is sculpted by Greek gods, not to mention how built he is and his facial features. Damn, he is a god himself.
On the other hand, Jungkook isn't doing that well either. As he enters the cafe where he is supposed to meet Taehyung, he is met with a face so beautiful, he almost thinks this human is a character out of an anime or something. Jungkook doesn't think he has ever seen a man so beautiful in his life.
After a minute or two of staring at each other, Jungkook is the one who finally breaks the silence. "Kim Taehyung?"
Wow, his voice is so sweet, as sweet as honey or even more. Just Taehyung's type.
"Yeah. Uhm, I'm assuming you are Jeon Jungkook?" Damn! His voice is so deep yet so calming, just like what he heard on the phone. It’s safe to say Jungkook is completely mesmerized by it, if his getting lost in his own thoughts about Taehyung's voice is enough proof.
He is then brought back by Taehyung clearing his throat. "Ah, yeah yes. This is Jeon Jungkook. Nice to finally meet you, Taehyung." Jungkook says while extending a hand for a handshake which taehyung gladly accepts. And then Jungkook hands him the papers.
"Here, these are the official papers stating this shop, now a bakery, is officially yours under your name." Jungkook says with a genuine smile.
"Thank you so much again, Jungkook. This really means a lot to me. I've been wanting this for quite some time! I'm glad I can finally call this place mine for real," Taehyung says with a grateful look on his face.
"I'm glad I could help you with it. Also I wanted to ask one question if you dont mind."
"Yeah, of course."
"Why did you name it Vante?"
"Oh…well, you see….Van Gogh is my favourite. I really like and admire his work, so I thought — why not name my bakery as Vante, as in Van from his name and Tae from mine. Hence, Vante!"
"Oh, that's really cool."
"I know right."
"Yeah."
"Also, Jungkook, I said I'd prepare something special for you."
"Yup. That you did. You didn't have to though."
"Uhmm, well, I don't actually know what you like, so I made you some cupcakes. My special ones actually. I hope you like them." Taehyung says, getting a little shy, which he himself doesn't know why. Maybe because they are meeting for the first time and he wants to impress Jungkook.
"I'm sure I'll love them. Thank you."
"Okay, wait here for a minute. I'll be right back." Then Taehyung disappears somewhere in the bakery and, after some time, he comes back with a blue coloured box in his hand.
"Here," he says as he places the box right in front of jungkook.
"Can I try them?"
"Of course, Jungkook, they are for you. Open the box and try them."
"Okay," Jungkook says as he takes the box and opens it. As he opens the box, he is met with the sight of chocolate flavoured cupcakes neatly decorated with yellow icing.
"Are they chocolate flavoured?" Jungkook asks.
"Yeah, do you like chocolate flavoured cupcakes?"
"Like? I love them! Thank you for these!" Jungkook says as he takes a bite from one of the cupcakes. "Oh wow, Taehyung, these are delicious! Really, like wow."
"I'm so glad you like them."
"So, uhmm, are you busy now?'' Jungkook asks while happily munching on his cupcakes.
"Yeah, kinda. As you can see, I’m still on my working hours although there aren’t any customers at the moment."
"Oh yeah…"
"Hey, what happened?" Taehyung asks as he sees the other pouting and frowning a little bit.
"I just wanted to ask you if we can get to know each other but it seems like you are busy now."
"Ah, I’m so sorry, Jungkook."
"No no, don't say sorry please. Uhm, unless there is another alternative though. I'll tell you if you want to know." Jungkook says, sheepishly giggling to himself.
Taehyung thinks the other looks like a happy, cheerful bunny when he giggles, completely contrasting his looks. He can't quite believe the fact that a man who looks so hot has such a cute and cheerful personality. Freaking amazing, isn't it?
"You know your personality and your looks don't match at all. Don't take it in a negative way, but, from your looks, you are a completely fine built man but your personality is so cute and bubbly. You are like a complete package, Jungkook!" Taehyung says.
"Woahh, thank you for the nice words, beautiful." Jungkook says with a smirk plastered on his face as he sees a slight pink colour beautifully adorning the other's cheeks.
If Taehyung can flirt with him subtly, which is unlikely, then he thinks he will step up his game too.
"Y-you’re welcome. So about the alternative…"
"If you don't mind, would you like to have like a day out with me this weekend?'' Jungkook asks with slight nervousness in his voice. Although he is all confident, he is still a bit nervous because they literally just met an hour ago.
Taehyung raises an eyebrow at that and, damn, isn't that shit hot as hell. Well, damn Kim Taehyung and his eyes and everything. This man is something else.
"Are you asking me out on a date already, Jeon Jungkook-ssi?"
"Well, would you like to go on a day out as a date with me, Kim Taehyung-ssi?"
"I'd love to!" Taehyung says while giggling. And Jungkook — well it may sound cliché — thinks that is the most beautiful sound he has ever heard next to Taehyung's own deep voice.
"Okay then, it's settled, this weekend. A day out as our first date. I'll message you the details later as I have to leave now."
"Okay, Jungkook, I'll be waiting," Taehyung says as he extends his hand for a handshake. What he doesn't expect is for Jungkook to take his hand and bring it near his lips to give a little kiss on his knuckles.
It is safe to say that Taehyung is literally frozen for a few moments.
"See you again soon. Bye, beautiful." Jungkook says with a wink as he gets up and walks towards the exit.
"See you soon, handsome." Taehyung says after he gains enough confidence, sending a flying kiss and waving a little at Jungkook.
Chuckling, Jungkook waves back and leaves with his hands full with a box of leftover cupcakes and with a beautiful smile plastered on his face. His heart is full of anticipation for a future of him and Taehyung together. He knows that his and Taehyung's future together is gonna be full of fun, laughter, and lots and lots of happiness.
This is how one probably feels when it's love at first sight, he tells himself. Call him old fashioned or whatever, but he believes Taehyung is his love at first sight and he finally has found someone he trusts to let into his life even though they have just met for the first time today. He just knows that he can trust Taehyung with it all.
Jungkook can't wait for all the things he is about to experience with Taehyung by his side . He just knows he is in for a very long ride with Taehyung and he isn't complaining.
— 5 YEARS LATER —
The bright, sunny morning is the first thing Taehyung notices when he slowly wakes up. He then turns around to see a handsome figure sleeping soundly beside him with lips parted just a little bit, making a cute little pout. Soft snores can be heard from those pouty lips. The sight is so endearing that it makes his heart swell with fondness for the man. His man. His husband.
Then he realises it is time.
Time for said man to wake up.
Although Taehyung loves to spend a little more time in the morning next to his husband, he can’t do so today because Jungkook has to get up early.
Jeon Jungkook, 30, is still a very well-known lawyer at his firm but he now takes fewercases. Usually, he just helps people who need legal help within the country and abroad, meaning early morning meetings out of his sweet home most of the time.
Taehyung doesn't mind this in the least, because he knows Jungkook will always find a way to come back home. Come back home to him.
As he gets out of his thoughts and notices how his husband is still sleeping peacefully, he decides it's finally time to wake up the other.
He tries to lean down a little, which doesn't seem to be that difficult because Jungkook's hand that is wrapped around Taehyung's waist is pulling him towards the other already. So Mr. Lawyer is already awake.
"Good morning, baby." Taehyung says while he leans down a bit more towards his husband's face as he places a sweet peck on his cute nose. Of course, he boops his nose afterwards.
Because, let's be honest here, who can resist booping Jungkook's nose right? Yup, no one.
"Morning, pretty," Jungkook says as he sleepily tries to kiss his husband.
They share a sweet kiss. Both of them melt into each other's mouth, smiling as they kiss. Happiness surrounds them as they continue to share a few more pecks, smiling, laughing into each other.
Both of them do not want this moment to end, but they know they have to.
So Taehyung slightly pushes Jungkook by placing his hand on the latter's chest. "Guk, you have an early morning meeting today! You need to get up now, Mr. Lawyer!"
"But I don't want to," the lawyer sleepily mumbles.
"Babe, you have to, you know that. Now get up, I have to make breakfast."
"Fine." Grumbling, he finally gets up while rubbing his sleepy eyes then getting out of bed and finally heading towards the restroom for his morning routine. But not before giving Taehyung a sweet peck followed by a mumbled “love you” against his lips.
And then, they continue with their usual routine of having breakfast while being in each other's embrace,Taehyung promising the other that he'll bake something new for him tonight and Jungkook telling him he'll love it as he knows he will.
He always does. Anything Kim Taehyung bakes is the most heavenly delicacy to ever exist is what Jungkook believes.
After 5 years of knowing each other, 3 years of dating and 2 years of being married, here they are, as much in love as they were at the very start. Because they know they'll conquer this life together, hand in hand and hearts full of love and adoration for each other. After all, it doesn't only happen in movies or novels because,
when you meet THE one, love at first sight happens in real life too.
