Chapter Text

Oracle enjoyed being in Necronomicon.

Her Persona allowed for her to be out of range from the enemies whilst allowing her to help her teammates both directly and indirectly. Her favorite part about Necronomicon however had been discovering all the possibilities that existed within it.

It? She? They? Oracle didn't really know if her Persona shared the same pronouns, or if Necronomicon even had one. What would one call an entity that comes from one’s own rebellion? ‘Questions for later’ she decided.

During the most recent Mementos mission, Oracle decided to ride in Necronomicon, rather than Morg-Mona. Her reason that she expressed to the Thieves was so she could get better used to Necronomicon. ‘And totally not because I'm still a bit peeved at what Inari said yesterday,’ Futaba thought to herself.

Necronomicon flew a foot behind and above the Not-Cat bus, thanks to a small feature that Oracle found that let her automatically follow any target. This let her set her attention on discovering more features within Necronomicon. A list of Shadows that they've encountered, the display that listed the stats of each of the party members, and to Oracle's surprise, an MP3 player. Upon further investigation, it lacked a lot of fun songs, but seemingly had space for more. This got her thinking, ‘Wait if there's space here for more songs, that would mean I can transfer in songs, but to do that I'd have to download it from an outside source, which means…

Oh my God I can download stuff unto Necronomicon! Wait, can I modify Necronomicon like a computer!?’

Orqcle quickly found something that looked like a terminal that she'd find on any computer and began typing away. To her surprise, it ran C. ‘Huh, you'd think a supernatural entity that's only usable in another world that's humanity's subconscious would have its own language, but apparently it runs the base for a ton of languages out there.’ She quickly got typing a simple outcome that anyone who's learning code or how to work with software would do.

“HELLO WORLD” Necronomicon explained in a Robotic Tone, much to the dismay of the rest of the Thieves.

“Oracle, what are you doing up there!?” exclaimed Joker.
“Learning how to modify Necronomicon! I didn't think it would be so loud, my bad.” Replied a slightly nervously sounding Oracle. “Turns out print statements print audibly, so I guess I'd better be careful with those.”
“That’s fine Oracle, but do you think you could save your coding for later? Preferably not when we're out in the open with nearby shadows?”
“Understood Joker!” replied Oracle, going back to investigating Necronomicon.

She eventually found something that surprised her, an HDMI port. Her mind quickly began going through all the possibilities with it, before deciding one question. ‘Can Necronomicon run Doom?’

“Enemies, incoming!” Exclaimed a bus that began transforming. ‘Ok, I'll find out later, first help the Thieves!’
