Hitoshi shrugs, trying to play it off like he doesn't actually care. "Last night had me thinking about it. Would you ever get married?"
"Well," Shouta starts, placing his chin atop Hitoshi's head. "If you wanted to get married then I would. But we'd have to get your adoption annulled."
The thought almost makes Hitoshi feel nauseous. Forfeiting his adoption feels like abandonment all over again and that's the stupidest thought he's ever had because it's just throwing away one piece of paper and signing a new one. Either way, they're legally bound together, right? Hitoshi tells himself that. He really doesn't need anything to change, he was perfectly content until last night. Because wouldn't a wedding be nice? Wouldn't it be great to proclaim their love in front of everyone? But of course they can't.
