Summary:

In the nearing of Valentine's Day's end, it rains.

Even if Jisung didn't like Valentine's Day, he loves the rain.

And maybe he'll learn to love a certain upperclassman, too.

Work Text:

In the nearing of Valentine's Day's end, it rains.

And as sulky as he'd been for the whole day, Jisung loves the rain.

So much that it's enough of a valid reason for him to be running around, drenched under the pouring weather. His neighbors would probably think weirdly of him when they catch him twirling around like a princess, soaked in the rain.

But Jisung couldn't care less, it's been a while since it last poured, the usual drizzle that lasted usually ten to fifteen seconds and rarely happened wasn't enough for him. The way the sky was filled with clouds, heavy enough for the weather yet light enough not to taint the soft dim it casted down upon the land; was what made Jisung love it even more. He was one for being sentimental, and this–it's just perfect for him.

He listens to the way his feet clashed against the puddles on the sidewalk, emitting splattering noises that satisfied his ears. Jisung stops and slows down eventually to look down on his palms, admiring the way the raindrops fell on them gently.

Jisung looks up and around, loving the way the street was wide and empty, like it was meant for him to have his moment and enjoy his time alone once in a while. He remembers having a not-so-bad day, but it wasn't one that he would consider good, either.

Blame all the couples and lovey-doveys that the boy had been surrounded by for hours. Jisung has every right to be pouty.

If this was the universe's way of trying to make him feel better(he's been bitter for the whole day, Chan and Felix did not help), Jisung accepts it wholeheartedly.

   > IDFC(Blackbear) - Acoustic Ver. [2:45]

Jisung randomly hums the melody under his breath, remembering how Felix made him listen to the acoustic version, loving how the last seconds got stuck to Jisung's head like some syndrome.

He sways from side to side, swinging his hands opposite from each other as he makes them match the song he's humming. The lyrics don't go along with what he feels, if he's being honest(Jisung is quite proud of the fact that he's not interested in anybody, much to his friends' dismay)but the melody fits so well with the current mood.

(It does not mean he didn't want a relationship, though. But he'll never admit that out loud.)

   > IDFC(Blackbear) - Acoustic Ver. [3:12]

He's so attached to the part where the bass makes him weak at every hit, that he could hear it so clearly in his head it feels like he's just listening to it through his earphones, Jisung feels like a main character in a movie. “Aahh~ I'm only a fool for you~

Jisung takes a step down the sidewalk at every beat he sings in his head, “Aahh~ but I don't fucking care, I don't fucking care~

As weird as it sounds, Jisung kinda wished he could relate to the song's lyrics. At least he'd had some type of love, right?

Jisung knows that wasn't what he really wanted, and he knows that shit would hurt, but he's kinda desperate to make his love life.. not non-existent.

He didn't have his eyes on someone, but that didn't mean he wasn't easy to get. Jisung knows he has the cute charms, and the intimidating ones when needed be, but people probably think it's hard to get his attention, so no one tries, and it leaves him feeling sour.

Jisung shakes his head, Valentine's Day is probably the only reason he's feeling this way, so he shrugs the feelings off.

He hums the part for a few more times, realizing that the rain doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon, and the thought brings a content smile on Jisung's face. A skip in his step, he somehow ends up by another street in his village, having passed by a house where two kids were also playing under the rain in their front yard, greeting Jisung politely when he walks by.

Jisung also passes by a familiar neighbor that offers him their spare umbrella, but the boy rejects them with a kind smile. The stranger insists, though, and Jisung eventually caves in and thanks them gratefully. If the stranger sees Jisung leave the umbrella unopened in his hand, they let him be, finally convinced that Jisung's having the time of his life drenched in the rain.

   > IDFC(Blackbear) - Acoustic Ver. [00:01]

Jisung's mind starts restarting the whole song, but he doesn't mind, humming the tune while swaying the umbrella in his hand gently. He looks straight forward, deciding to walk around for a bit more before going back to his house(he has a strong immune system to walk this confidently under the rain, but that surely has nothing against a pile of homework).

He expects to find no one else on the way to his house, but from a few blocks away, he could see someone sitting on a bench alone, hunched over with their elbows on their knees as they stared at the ground. Jisung frowns at the figure, they look defeated, even more with the hoodie pulled over their head.

The boy approaches the unknown neighbor(?) with light but quick footsteps, the song he was once singing now completely forgotten from his head. The person still hasn't moved.

Jisung wondered if the person got rejected by someone, but he wasn't one to pry.

A few meters closer, Jisung opens the umbrella in his hands and brings it over his head, aware of how his shadow has already entered the stranger's range of sight, and the sounds of his footsteps getting louder.

When Jisung was already standing right by the moping stranger, he brought the roof of his(borrowed) umbrella and tilted his head a little, but it was of no use when the other person was still staring at the ground as if it was the only thing they could look at.

“Uh, hey?” Jisung tries to speak, voice a little faint against even his own ears due to the loud pattering of the rain on the umbrella.

He flinches when the person flinches first, looking straight up and into his eyes, and suddenly–the stranger Jisung once thought was a stranger–was a familiar face he's always seen on campus.

“Minho-sunbaenim?” Jisung questions, eyes filled with worry for the familiar acquaintance in front of him.

For a while, Minho doesn't answer and just stares at him, causing Jisung to shift on his position. He freezes when the upperclassman's intense gaze suddenly turns into a sharp glare directed straight at his eyes. Jisung flinches.

“Hello, Jisung.” Minho's voice was sarcastic, harsh and cold. Jisung feels a little frightened and mostly confused, why was Minho mad at him?

The situation was tense and awkward, the younger suddenly had no idea what to do. He planned on helping the stranger and probably never meet them again, but he didn't expect it to be Minho–an upperclassman he(almost scarily) always sees at every place he goes to at school–and who's presumably now mad at him.

“Did I do something wrong, sunbae?” Jisung asks, voice wavering, expecting for the older to lash out or probably scream at him. But when Minho turns away sharply, Jisung feels something akin to frustrating confusion.

Silently, Minho turns abruptly away from him, before he starts to walk away. Jisung stays in his place for a few moments, but then his mind goes back to Earth and finally runs to catch up to the older.

“Sunbaenim! Wait!”

Jisung huffs when Minho doesn't answer, but he isn't that far away, so when he eventually catches up to him, Jisung advances forward and halts right in front of Minho, blocking his way. The older has the audacity to roll his eyes before trying to swerve around the smaller, but Jisung quickly moves towards the same direction as well.

Is he dumb? He'll get sick! Jisung curses in his head(he has the right to talk), “What's wrong? You're gonna get sick if you keep continuing this.”

Minho scoffs, a hard look on his face, but Jisung sees the way his eyes look softer. “And like you wouldn't?”

“Yah, I have a strong body.” Jisung retorts before shaking his head abruptly. “And don't change the topic! Why were you moping in the rain?”

“I don't know, you tell me.” Minho answers right away, the soft look in his eyes suddenly gone. Jisung's eyes widened, before his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

“Huh?” He says dumbly.

“Don't act like you don't know, Jisung.” Minho scoffs again, a little strained, and the younger sees the way his cheeks turn a little pink.

Jisung stays silent, and Minho takes it as the chance to escape, but the other quickly blocks him again. The older groans in frustration, ruffling his wet hair. Jisung frowns, slightly glaring at the senior.

“What do you mean?” Jisung asked, “Look, I'm just here to give you this damn umbrella because I don't know how rain-resistant you are, and I have no idea why you act like I've done something wrong–”

“Wait–”

“Let me speak, Minho.” Jisung rolls his eyes, ignoring the lack of honorifics. “If you're going to discredit my good deed just 'cause your day went like shit then I don't care if I sound patronizing, but you're being a brat.”

Minho thinks Jisung had more to say, but the younger one stays silent with a challenging glare on his face. Jisung waits for the older to say something, and he's starting to finally realize that he just called someone older than him–an upperclassman and a person he barely knew–a brat.

Way to go, dumbass. Jisung curses. He sighs, before starting, “Wait, that was kinda–”

“You don't know what you did?” Minho cuts him off with a question, the hatred in his eyes now replaced with confusion and fear. “Shit, does that mean–”

“What? So I did something.” Jisung gapes, “Oh, well–sorry for whatever I did, I guess, but could you elaborate? I really have no idea–”

“N-No, you didn't do anything–" Minho stutters dumbly. Jisung froze at how the previous Minho–cold, rude and harsh–quickly turned into a scared, stuttering and something nearly considered as an embarrassed one. “I'm really sorry, Jisung. Please forgive me, I was being a dick, I-I really don't know how to explain this one.”

“Uh–” Jisung tries to say something, not really finding it in himself to feel mad since the confusion has taken over him. Instead, he offers, “Well.. I guess I'll let that pass, but please take this umbrella. I don't want you to get sick, sunbaenim.”

“You can call me hyung, if you want,” Minho awkwardly says, shyly reaching out to grab onto the handle of the umbrella. Jisung misses the blush on the older's cheeks when their fingers briefly make contact. “I'm really sorry, can I– I'll walk you home as an apology?”

Jisung just finds himself nodding, suddenly finding this side of Minho really, really cute. Cuter than the previous one. He gives the senior a soft, gentle smile to try to calm him down. He assumed it worked by how Minho smiles back in relief, the tint of pink in his cheeks still not gone.

The whole situation was confusing, to say the least. Jisung hoped Minho didn't find the silence awkward, because he feels his gaze on him when he silently brings a palm out to the rain, unconsciously smiling when he feels the raindrops on his palm once more. Since he's been under the umbrella and not in the pouring weather for a few minutes, Jisung starts to find himself growing cold when a gust of wind blows by.

He shivers, quite noticeably, and Jisung was starting to prepare himself for another wave of coldness when he feels an arm wrap shyly around his waist, and suddenly half of him is engulfed in warmth. Jisung looks up to meet Minho's eyes, he feels himself blushing a little. This was new, he's never felt this flutter since grade school.

Is this what he thinks it is?

“Is this okay?” Minho asks through a whisper, his hold loose enough to let Jisung have the choice to step away. But Jisung finds himself pushing closer, how could Minho have a body so warm under this cold weather?

Jisung nods with a small smile before he almost forgets to answer, and Minho smiles back. In the back of his mind, he's wondering what got Minho mad at him earlier, but he decides to bury it further away into his head, he'll probably never be able to ask it to the older after this anyway.

Jisung finds himself a little disappointed at that thought.

The walk was quiet and surprisingly short. Jisung slightly hoped it could've gone longer than how it did, but he forces himself to tear away from Minho's warmth, giving the older boy a warm smile before bowing in gratitude.

“Thanks, hyung.” Jisung beams, smiling brighter when Minho offers him a smile of his own.

“Um, I'm really sorry again for what happened earlier.” Minho mutters, rubbing the back of his neck, he looked like he wanted to say something more.

“It's alright, hyung! I'm sorry for talking to you like that, too, that was disrespectful of me.” Jisung chuckles lightheartedly.

They stand under the umbrella for a few more seconds, neither one of them moving from their spots. Jisung was fiddling with the hem of his wet sleeve, unaware of how Minho gently looked at him as he did so.

Until Minho finally moves, but instead of taking a step back, he steps closer. Jisung almost stepped closer as well, wanting to feel more of the warmth the older radiated, but he forced himself to stay still, hands freezing in place.

Jisung could feel his heartbeat quicken, faster and faster until the senior stopped just a few centimeters away from him. The younger boy still refused to make eye contact, keeping his gaze locked on the ground. He could feel Minho's eyes on him, making him play with the hem of his sleeve again.

The raindrops filled the silence of the atmosphere, and Jisung was about to say something until he felt a soft, feather-like pressure on the crown of his head. Jisung's eyes widened, no doubt that despite the coldness, the warmth in his body was rushing up to his neck and up to his cheeks.

“Go in now, I'll be here until you enter.” Minho smiles gently, amused–and a little relieved–at the flushed state the younger was in.

Jisung gapes at him, still not finding it in himself to move. But when he does, it wasn't his feet, instead he leans up quickly to place a peck on Minho's left cheek. That, and he finally rushes towards the door of his house before slamming it shut, the loud bang wouldn't be heard under the loud pattering of the rain, anyway.

The boy tries to catch his breath, leaning against the door with a hand on his chest. He couldn't believe what he just did.

What the fuck did I just do?

Unconsciously, a smile graces his lips, remembering how a pretty shade of pink dusted on Minho's ears after the stunt he pulled, and Jisung doesn't find it in himself to regret what he did.

Maybe Valentine's Day wasn't that bad after all.

-

Jisung enters the campus gates before heading straight into the hallways and right towards their lockers, he sees Felix already standing in front of his locker–literally just standing there, looking at Jisung with a smug smile on his face. The day-older boy tilts his head in confusion, eyebrows furrowing.

“Did Chan-hyung give you extra chocolate today, or..?” Jisung draws out, watching as Felix’s smile grows wider in mischief. He’s even more confused when the boy shakes his head.

“Nope,” He answers. “I did get chocolate, and some flowers, too! But it’s not from Channie.” Felix continues, watching as Jisung’s eyes widen.

“What? But the whole campus knows–”

“Wait, let me finish!” Felix cheekily interrupts, chuckling when Jisung huffs. “It’s not from Channie, and it didn’t look like it was for me, either.”

“Oh,” Jisung dumbly blurts out. “So, who’s it for? Did you give it to the right person already?” he asks. When Felix shakes his head slowly, Jisung gapes at the boy.

“Then what the hell are you waiting for? Don’t let them miss their Valentine’s gift!” Jisung urges, and now Felix is laughing– what’s so funny? Jisung just stares at the boy weirdly, carefully watching as he tries to calm himself down.

“Well then, here you go.” Felix says, reaching into his own locker to bring out the chocolate and a cute white daisy attached to the wrapper. Jisung stares–bewildered–as he reaches out to his friend in confusion. Jisung realizes that it also had a note taped on it.

“Wait.. what–”

“Read it, dumbass, it’s for you!” Felix cackles, swiftly avoiding the smack Jisung tried to land on him. The boy stares at the present in his hands, the admirer surely knows him well, because it was cookies and cream Hershey’s with a white daisy–his favorite flower–right on top of it. Jisung didn’t mind how the chocolate felt a little melted, already feeling the blush on his face.

And the note.

‘To: Jisungie! Happy Valentine’s Day, I hope you enjoy your day. From: Lee Minho, Senior Class 2A.’

It was simple, but it was so Minho.

“Aww! You’re blushing~ Who knew our Jisungie would earn Minho-sunbae’s undivided attention?” Felix teases, but he clearly looked proud for his best friend. He knew Jisung’s been waiting patiently for anyone to approach him, wanting to know who would–quote unquote, “Be interested enough to figure him out.” And now someone did, and it was Lee Minho–someone any girl(and any boy) would do anything for, just to get his attention.

Ironically, the person Minho sets his attention to, was someone who paid little to none of theirs to him.

“W-Wait–” Jisung stutters, shooting his head from the treat on his hands and onto the smug look on Felix’s face. “But he was just–”

He was just mad at me yesterday, Jisung wanted to say, but he suddenly remembers the soft lips pressing against his head, and now he doesn't know what to say.

“Come on, Sungie, talk to him!” Felix ushers, jumping up and down in excitement. He puts his hands on both of the other's shoulders and shakes him. “Channie's classmates with him, we can go to their classroom!”

“Yah, hold on–” Felix ignores Jisung's protests and settles laughing at the boy's tomato-red face while pushing him towards the stairs to the seniors' floor, Jisung doesn't seem to be trying to stop himself, so Felix continues. It reminds him of his pre-relationship with Chan, and Jisung was the honorable wingman, now Felix was just simply returning the favor.

They receive a few glances from the hallways, some juniors were familiar to them since they always pass by when Felix wants to visit Chan. But now the visit to their room wasn't entirely because of Felix, and some students realize it when they see how Jisung reluctantly tries to free himself from Felix's grip. Jisung's witnessed this action yesterday for multiple times, since–well, it was Valentine's Day–a lot of people planned to confess(or their friends planned on forcing them–like what Felix is doing right now).

Some juniors whistle at the twins, Felix sending them a thankful smile while Jisung grimaces with a flushed face. Once they reached the seniors' floor, a few were cheering, because that's where they had a lot of acquaintances, thanks to their usual visits.

“Felix, I don't even have anything to give to him!” Jisung forces out of his mouth when he sees Chan's room in his peripheral view.

“Then give him a kiss, duh. Now you have someone who's willing to drown in your kisses instead of me and Channie.”

“I–”

It's common knowledge for them that Jisung doesn't have anyone on his mind, so some of their seniors gasp in shock and excitement.

“Jisung likes someone!”

Sunbaenim,” Jisung whines, earning an amused chuckle from a senior, and another push from Felix.

“Come on, Jisung! He likes you, what are you so nervous for?” Felix pushes.

You would know, Felix.” Jisung bites back.

“Someone likes our Jisungie? Who likes our Jisungie?” A very, very familiar voice pops out from nowhere, earning a fond gasp from Felix and another whine from Jisung. Clad in a black hoodie(that Felix had once stolen–Jisung knows that hoodie), as usual, was Felix's boyfriend–the one and only, Bang Chan.

“Even Channie doesn't know, that means he's a really secret secret admirer!” Felix squeals, earning a curious look from Chan. Jisung ignores the questioning look of the senior, and the intruding looks from a few more seniors they pass by.

“Wait, who? Hey, don't keep me in the dark.” Chan pouts, and Jisung was nervous that Felix would give in because that's the pout–but for once, Felix denies the act of cuteness.

“You'll find out soon, Channie! Let's go to your room.” Felix says, pushing Jisung ahead and away from the audience they've gained. It's just now that Jisung realizes how much students recognized them–on the seniors' floor!

“Oh! He's my classmate? Now I'm really interested, nothing goes past me in our classroom.”

“Well, now something has, just come along Channie.” Felix calls, and Chan doesn't hesitate to follow. Jisung hoped it was only Chan who followed.

-

Minho fiddles with the corner of his book's current page. He's been trying to think of what to do with the chocolate that he misplaced in Felix's locker instead of Jisung's. It's no wonder why Jisung seemed so confused yesterday when Minho assumed the younger one disregarded his gift.

He feels so, so dumb when he goes back to the conversation he overheard yesterday, and now he's sure Jisung had probably found out about the chocolate–Felix would obviously hand it back to him–and now even Felix would know that he had been crushing on his best friend.

It was already their afternoon break, the last chance Minho had to finish what he had to do.

Minho keeps his grip on the chocolate and daisy tightly, but not too much to harm the treat and the flower. He has it kept in his pocket, watching intently as Jisung and Felix conversed with each other by their lockers. Sophomores would steal glances at him, wondering why a senior–especially him–was suddenly slacking around on the sophomores' floor. It didn't help that today was Valentine's Day–of course people would assume things.

He sees the twins walk closer and closer to where he was 'hiding' from, and he quickly reaches his phone out to turn it on and act like he was busy, leaning against the wall beside the lockers. Minho tries not to look up and check the younger boy out as they pass by.

Once they were completely passing by, Minho heard a little bit of Jisung's loud laughter, the one he'd come to love hearing. He feels his heart jump, a wave of softness coursing through his whole body. Jisung looked so cute today(he looked cute everyday, but minor details!).

Minho checks the time on his phone, letting out a breath when it shows '7:56AM'. He sees groups of students rushing to get their stuff and head to their classroom for their last set of classes, and Minho knew he would be late for his, because of this.. thing, but he decides that it was worth it.

When only a few students were walking around, Minho finally leaned away from the wall and looked around, startling a little at the bell ringing. Feeling relieved that the place was finally deserted, he rushes closer and closer towards what he assumed was Jisung's locker.

Taking a deep breath, Minho swings it open and puts the chocolate inside quickly before gently closing it shut. That was fast, he inhales sharply, turning around before cat-walking away.

-

Minho meets the twins again when he was at the campus gates, and Chan was with them, probably to walk with Felix home. He watches the way the couple displays their obvious acts of affection, almost smiling at how Jisung fake gags. Almost.

Without meaning to, Minho accidentally tunes in into their conversation.

“Jisungie, did you get any gifts?” Felix asks.

Minho's heartbeat quickens in anticipation for the sophomore's answer.

“Nope, it's not like anyone's interested in me, anyway.” Jisung chuckles, shaking his head. Minho's eyes widened at the response.

Did Jisung just lie about him? Was he embarrassed?

“Aww, but Sungie, that's so sad!” Felix pouts, “If Channie wasn't my type, you'd definitely be.”

Jisung cackles loudly when Chan lets out an offended ‘Yah!’ before clinging onto the younger, and Felix immediately melts against the senior. Minho watches in a grimace when Jisung fake gags again, but he was still laughing.

Jisung probably didn't like him. Why would he? He never even paid attention to Minho anyway, unlike all the other students that tried to get his attention, Minho really had to fall for someone who didn't.

Minho sighs, mentally smacking himself at his dumb accusations. Now Jisung probably thought he was weird for being mad at him before suddenly being so whipped for him. The senior groans silently, nearly smacking his head on his desk.

He checks the time on his phone again, eyes widening when it was just 7:21 in the morning. Maybe I still have time to check their lockers?

Minho knew it was dumb, but he wants to try anyway. It would be so embarrassing when Felix sees the chocolate in his locker. Even more when Felix would realize it was for Jisung and he misplaced it. Maybe Jisung hadn't found out about it yet.

With wishful thinking, he stands up abruptly, shooting an apologetic smile at the seatmate he accidentally startled. Minho wastes no more time before walking towards the door of their room.

And when he opens it, the sight before him suddenly feels so unreal.

In his own mighty glory, Jisung was standing right in front of him with his hand raised to presumably reach out for the doorknob. Minho meets his eyes directly, those wide eyes that held a sparkle in them that he adored. Adding on to the squishy cheeks that were currently colored red in flutter.

Minho inhales slowly. He's definitely gone for Han Jisung.

“Jisung?” Minho calls. Was that really Jisung in front of him?

“H-Hyung.” Jisung squeaks out, his voice so small and shy it sends a shiver down Minho's spine.

He hears a collective amount of gasps from around them, bringing Minho to look around him and realize that there was a decent amount of seniors paying attention to every move they made. He saw Felix smirking at him and Chan just gaping at them with shock all over his face. When Minho looks back down at Jisung's eyes, he sees a plea hidden in those shiny orbs.

And Minho obliges.

Minho holds a hand out, gently wrapping them around Jisung's before stepping out of the doorway and pulling the younger boy towards him, and then they run off. Minho could hear Chan's surprised yell accompanied by Felix's cheering and a few of the other seniors whooping at their figures, it makes the blush finally creep up to his cheeks.

“Hyung! Where are we going?!” Jisung asks hurriedly, rushing closer towards the senior when he feels a lot of curious gazes on them. Minho was leading them towards the stairs.

“You don't wanna talk in a bathroom, do you?” Minho asks him with a teasing smile on his face, but Jisung could see just how nervous the older one was. “I don't know, somewhere quiet?”

“The library?” Jisung suggests, trying to ignore the fact that they were already at the juniors' floor and he could hear surprised cheering from the juniors that saw them walk upstairs earlier.

He doesn't know what to expect when they reach the sophomores' floor.

“Alright, I guess.” Minho chuckles, amused at the attention they've gotten. Jisung didn't realize the amount of people that knew him in this campus, but maybe half of it was because he had Minho pulling him like they were in a runaway.

The library was on the ground floor, in the freshmans' floor. Jisung was a little glad only a few freshmen knew him since he rarely went there except for when they go to the canteen or enter and leave the school, but he didn't doubt the fact that people would still pay attention to them, because it was Minho who was known around the campus.

“Han Jisung!” The boy startles a little at the call of his name, but continues running anyway. He recognized the voice to be Hyunjin's, another one of his friends, but Hyunjin hung out more with Seungmin instead of him and Felix.

Jisung shoots a questioning glance behind him, meeting the sophomore's eyes. “Go get 'em, tiger! Do it for the gays!”

Yah!” Jisung screams, his voice echoing through all the hallways of laughing students, and he could hear Minho laughing as well.

“Come on, Jisungie, almost there.” Minho teases once they've reached the stairs towards the ground floor.

You! You're enjoying this too much.” Jisung whines, a little out of breath. He just huffs when Minho laughs one more time, but he finds himself smiling at the senior a few moments later.

The freshmans' floor weren't too eventful, since they were still too new to the campus and afraid of causing too much noise that went against the rules, unlike the higher floors. Though they still did get curious looks, Jisung could handle that well enough. A concerning amount of weird antics he's done in school had made him immune to those kinds of looks, but this situation was different.

Slowing down to a walking pace, they arrive at the front of the library, a little tired and sweaty. Jisung huffs, wiping his face with a handkerchief he always had with him, waiting for Minho to finish doing the same.

“You really held onto it, huh?” Minho mumbles, looking at Jisung's hand. The sophomore follows where he was looking, eyes widening when he sees that he still had the chocolate and the daisy in his hold. Jisung smiles cheekily, earning a soft look from Minho.

They enter the library, greeting the librarian with a bow, earning a raise of an eyebrow from her, it takes them a few moments to realize that they were still holding hands. Both of them immediately let go of each other, blushing a little. Jisung fiddles with the petals of the daisy on his chocolate.

Minho leads them towards the furthest table, away from any intruding ears. There was nobody around, considering that it was still too early in the morning to be going to the library, but they still wanted privacy.

“So,” Minho starts, openly eyeing the chocolate in Jisung's hand. “Now you know, I guess I might as well explain why I was being harsh on you yesterday..”

Ah, right. Yesterday.

“Uh, I planned to sneak that into your locker on the last break, and I thought I did.” Minho shyly continues, looking down on his feet. “But I realized way too late that I accidentally put it inside Felix's locker instead.”

Jisung stayed silent, mouth agape as he listened to the senior explaining himself. He couldn't help but find this Minho cute, acting shy and quiet in front of him. Jisung resisted the urge to pinch the older boy's cheek. He settles with staring at him with a small smile instead, even if Minho wouldn't see.

“Then I overheard you when you said you didn't see anything in your locker.. and I thought you were lying about me, that you were embarrassed.” Minho grimaces, it sounded weird coming out from his mouth.

Minho doesn't say anything else, looking at almost everywhere except for Jisung's eyes. He was waiting for the rejection, for Jisung to say that he wasn't interested, or for the boy to ask for them to be friends instead. But he almost choked when he heard,

“You're so cute, hyung.”

“What?” Minho blushes.

“I didn't realize you could be this cute, I just thought you weren't interested in anyone since you always look so serious.” Jisung chuckles, and Minho wants to caress the blush on his cheeks.

Minho gapes, “Does that mean you..?”

“Well, I'm not that hard to impress. And I did kiss you once, didn't I?” Jisung shyly mumbles, looking down on the wooden floor.

Minho's mouth splits into a wide smile, stepping in closer to wrap the younger boy in his arms tightly, wanting to keep him in his pocket forever. Jisung takes in a breath sharply, before he relaxes and wraps his own arms against the senior. Minho smiles brighter(if possible) when he feels the boy in his arms bury his face against the crook of his neck.

When they separate, Jisung has a shy smile on his face, and Minho finds himself cupping the younger boy's cheeks. He then reaches out to pull the daisy away from the chocolate wrapper before pushing it against the sophomore's ear. It fitted Jisung's brown hair so well. He chuckles when Jisung's face turns darker.

“Thank you, hyung.” Jisung whispers, before leaning in to press a quick peck on Minho's right cheek. “And now it's equal!”

Minho, despite being confused, knew his ears were turning pink. “What's equal?”

“I kissed you on your left cheek yesterday, remember?” Jisung smiles cheekily. “So I kissed you on the right one this time. I told Felix I didn't have anything for you, but he told me to give you kisses instead.”

“I'd love that.” Minho smiles, leaning in to place a peck on the boy's nose. “We should head back, hm?”

“Wait!” He stills at Jisung's exclamation.

Jisung pulls the daisy off of his ear and places it gently on Minho's instead, the senior feels the burn of the boy's touch when it settles and pats him on the cheek softly. “It fits you more.”

“That's cheesy.”

“Wha– excuse me? Says the one who–”

Minho pecks the boy on his nose, emitting a startled squeak from the younger boy. Jisung's face was red, a pout on his lips with furrowed eyebrows.

The senior chuckles, “You're so cute, Sungie.” He lets out a loud laugh when Jisung weakly paws onto his chest.

They leave the library with Jisung's Hershey's chocolate open, plopping one bar in Minho's mouth before the boy takes one for himself, humming happily as they walk back towards their floors. They receive knowing glances–Felix and Hyunjin scream when they see the open chocolate(Felix takes a bar for himself) and the daisy on Minho's ear.

Minho drops Jisung off in his room before walking to his floor, earning another batch of screaming(way louder and bolder than the previous ones), some of them pointing excitedly at the daisy in his ear, and Chan coos jokingly when Minho blushes to himself.

(Minho receives a message from Jisung once, a link that leads him to a song he knew–IDFC by Blackbear–though it was the acoustic version.

2:45 ’, the next message says, and since he knows the song, he decides to listen through everything, paying attention to every second until it reaches the timestamp Jisung sent.

It was one of his favorite parts, the melody that had no lyrics, the instrumental that blended well with each other, creating something that made him feel sentimental.

Minho was reminded of the moment he met Jisung in the rain.

‘Ignore the rest of the lyrics and only pay attention from that timestamp until the end! <3’

Minho smiles at the message, waiting for the next part after the instrumentals. He knew, he knew the lyrics, but he wanted to feel it. He wanted to listen to it with a new reason to do so.

Aahh ~ I'm only a fool for you.

Aahh ~ but I don't fucking care, I don't fucking care.

It was cheesy, but Minho loved it.

And if Jisung finds a new bar of Hershey's cookies and cream along with another fresh blooming daisy the next day in his locker, he ignores Felix's teasing whistles and keeps it in his backpack with a loving smile on his face, placing the daisy on his ear.)
