Work Text:
"Marin Dupain-Cheng! Get back here before I call the principal!" His home room teacher, Mrs. Bustier, basically yelled.
Marin resisted the urge to roll his eyes and thought about his options. If he called the principle, he would more than likely suspend him. Though it would be great, it would end up on his permanent record and he didn't need that. If he stayed, he might be able to have the satisfaction of declining whatever the command that he might be forced to do.
Choosing the latter option, he turned around and walked calmly, but slowly, towards his teacher. Once he was in front of her, he had to lower his gaze, seeing as he was towering her due to his height. "Yes?" He asked, his voice deep and husky enough to make any girl swoon for him.
Though everyone in the class hated him, the girls couldn't help but shiver at the voice. Even Lila, who was set to make his life hell couldn't help but want to hear the voice again, though wanting it to be commanding.
Mrs. Bustier looked up at her student, the one she had been having for the past five years. She hadn't had any problems from him until they hit their second year in lycee, when Lila had arrived. Marin, according to Lila, had been showing up whenever he guaranteed that they would be alone and start to put his hands on her. Lila had come to tell the class that for comfort the day Marin wasn't there to disprove her claims. She had been disappointed in him. She would have done something, but Lila said not to tell anyone, worrying that she would have too much attention on her.
"Why are you sexually harassing Lila?" She asked, wanting her student to explain himself.
Marin resisted the urge to roll his eyes, yet again. He wished he accepted the deal offered to him a year ago because he wouldn't be in this situation.
He looked at the girl accusing him of such things, and saw the smirk on her face. He went back to the teacher shorter than him. "I'm never around her alone, since she always has people around her, from what I can assume from when she gets her to the moment she steps into her house. How could I ever even breathe in her direction without her 'friends' around her." He asked.
"I asked you why, not for any excuses you might have." Mrs. Bustier said, crossing her arms around her chest. Marin didn't have the patience to deal with the teacher that day, seeing as a special someone was meeting him today.
"Why would I sexually harass her? I already have someone in my life who gets everyone's attention when she walks down the street. I've been with her long enough to know that she's gotten catcalls by random guys in the street. I don't even want to know how many people try to have intercourse with her just because of how she looks. Despite being able to take care of everything and herself, I still worry about her scared that it'll be the last day I ever see her happy because someone took things to far." Marin stared off, tears built up in his vision falling out. The people who were watching it saw how much emotion he put into his words, convincing them that for one, it wasn't something they would consider lying.
"I don't know where she got it in her sick head that it was okay to do such vile things like that, but when on earth do you think I would do that. I'm not even allowed to be within a ten foot radius of her without someone glaring at me like I just killed her mother." Marin continued, trying to see if his teacher was going to say something else. After a moment of rare silence in his class, he continued his walk out the classroom.
His classmates, when they finally got out of their trance, went out of the class to see if Marin was still there, but was confused as to see him hugging another girl their age. From their point of view, the girl was almost the same height as Marin, therefore making her tall.
Upon the faces of the girls, their faces, or emotions, seeing someone that close to him just made their blood boil seeing someone else close to him that wasn't neither of them, despite some of them having boyfriends. It was just the fact that he wasn't available that made them mad because they couldn't have a chance
————————
Marin walked out the class, his vision only on the ground. After going down the stairs, he didn't notice the footsteps that were coming out of their class, nor did he notice the person hanging outside of the school.
He started his way towards his family's bakery, not looking up, relying on muscle memory. The tears that once were in his eye were wiped away, not wanting anyone to see them.
"Habibi?" A familiar voice said, filling the air.
Marin turned around and pulled his head up to look at the young woman who was once behind him. Looking at her, he walked towards her and hugged her. The girl, Damiyah, wrapped her arms around him, sensing that he might need one. Marin put his head on her shoulder, seeing as she wasn't that much shorter than him.
"Hi Sadiqa." Marin whispered into her neck. (Girlfriend)
Damiyah's lips turned up, giving her boyfriend a small, soft smile. Her arms tightened around her boyfriend's hold, knowing that something happened with his class that he couldn't do much about.
"Hello Malak." Dami said. The two separated, while her emerald eyes made contact with his bluebell ones. "Are you feeling better?" She asked, while he nodded in response to her question.
Dami brought herself closer and closed the space between the two. As soon as their lips touched, she felt Marin relax and kiss her back more passionate than she did to him.
When they separated, they had their foreheads touching. Marin forgot about the feelings he had before head seen her, forgetting about the outside world. Damiyah gave her boyfriend her smile that was reserved for him, and only him, when she knew he felt better.
Damiyah was the one to separate first, only to kiss his nose and pull back fully. Marin's face turned red and she giggled so quietly that you would have to have super hearing to hear it if it wasn't meant to be heard by you.
"What are you doing here?" He asked her.
"Gotham Academy closed down for a month due to damage because of a rogue attack. Father allowed me to visit you as long as I continued my studies online." Damiyah told him.
Marin nodded and smiled, happy to see his girlfriend in person more.
"Why don't you head to the bakery and I'll catch up to you?" Damiyah suggested.
Marin noticed the glint in her eyes and internally sighed. "Alright, just don't hurt anyone too bad." He told her, turning around.
—————————
Damiyah noticed his class was watching the two of them acted towards one another. From the corner of her eye, she could notice how the girls seemed angry when she pulled him in towards a kiss, although they were holding hands with another guy.
'Unfaithful harlots.' She thought.
As soon as Marin walked towards the bakery his parents owned, Damiyah walked up the school stairs inside to get towards her boyfriend's class.
When she got there, she saw the girls giving her a glare that was nothing compared to hers or her father's, while the guys looked like they were checking her out. She hated the class with a passion, but this just made it worse, seeing as they looked like they would want to take what's hers.
Damiyah crossed her arms and stood her ground, staring down at the class. "Why are you staring at what is mine?" She barked.
Everyone in the class stared up at her and blinked, not expecting that from the girl. After all, they would think that Marin would get with someone similar to him, or the old him.
"Marin doesn't belong to you." Lila commented, getting out of her shock first.
Damiyah looked at the girl, unimpressed. Her piercing green eyes glared at the girl who talked to her. "He is mine." She said, almost growling.
Lila looked at the girl. The girl had her dark hair into a half up, half down style. From what she could tell, the girl had on an expensive belt, shoes, and a handbag. She had on an outfit from a brand she didn't know, that went well with her tan skin, but she could only assume that it was too rich for her to know about. Just who was this girl?
Damiyah looked (glared) at the whole class, and even more so at the teacher. "Just know this. If I even sense the smallest bit of negative emotion, you won't have to worry about an akuma coming after you." She told them coldly, sending shivers down their spines.
Damiyah turned around and walked towards the bakery, with no worry on her shoulders. She knew that if they left the smallest scratch on her beloved, they wouldn't live to see the consequences.
The class watched as the girl walked away. Mrs. Bustier didn't know if she wanted to punish Marin the problems he caused, thinking that the girl would do something to her. Lila thought about how powerful the girl must have been for threatening her, the daughter of an ambassador, and Adrien. She paled at the thought of her destroying what she had been building up for years. The rest of the class just watched as the girl walked towards Marin's house, wondering who she was.
