Mighty Bonk!

Summary:

With Emu not acting himself, the Mightys are very unhappy. So obviously, they find the person who's responsible for this. You almost might feel bad for Kuroto.

Work Text:

Mighty watched with intent eyes as Emu distractedly played a video game, not paying anything else in the CR much mind. He’d been like this since he’d woke up and it was profoundly wrong . This wasn’t the nice and kind Mighty human Emu that Mighty had always seen before. It was like he was an entirely different person. Poppy was clearly concerned and had been since it became clear that there was something up with Emu. Then there was Hiro, who wasn’t outwardly upset - he was never really outwardly anything - but Mighty was willing to bet even he was worried.

Mighty was certain that this was all that stupid Annoying Zombie human Kuroto’s fault. After all, if he hadn’t said that Emu had Game Disease, then Emu would never have gotten so worked up and passed out and would never have woken up like this. Puzzle Bugster Parad was right to look so cross at him. If only there was something else to be done…

It was then that Mighty was struck with what could only be one of his most brilliant ideas ever. With a resolve that Mighty was so prone to having, he hops up from his sitting position on the table, unnoticed by the others, and jumps off the table.

He walks over to where Cyan is sitting in the corner, Orange giving him pats on the back in what was probably supposed to be attempts at comfort. Cyan really liked Emu and was obviously very upset about his strange change in attitude. When Mighty approached, Orange looked up, curious.

Quickly, Mighty explained his plan, noting how Cyan perked up slightly, but looked a bit hesitant. Of all the Mightys - Proto, Mighty, Cyan, and Orange - Cyan was the most… Peaceful, so to speak. He was the last one to result in more… Aggressive or violent solutions. Perhaps passive was the best word. He’d much rather talk problems out - to the best of the ability of someone who couldn’t communicate with many others - than fight.

But Orange had somehow managed to convince him to come along, so there they were, traversing their way to where Kuroto, Parad, and Proto were. Once they were there, Mighty and Orange planned to try to get Proto in on the plan. It wouldn’t be too hard, given Proto’s patience with Kuroto was growing ever thinner.

When they arrived, Parad could be seen sitting in a chair and playing his game, not unlike Emu had been when they’d left the CR. Kuroto was, as ever, at his computer clicking away at the keyboard doing who knows what. What he was doing didn’t really matter, so they didn’t concern themselves with it much. Proto had been hopping around from table, to chair, to box, to table, trying to keep himself entertained. He quickly noticed the three other Mightys and rushed over to them, unnoticed by the other occupants of the room.

Together, Mighty and Orange explained the plan Mighty had created. Excitedly, Proto nodded in agreement and they began to prepared. Proto, Mighty, and Orange slowly stalked over to Kuroto, careful not to draw attention, Gashacon Breakers in hand.

Then they struck.

Bonk! Bonk! Bonk!

One after another, a total of three bonks with their hammers on Kuroto. Startled, Kuroto attempted to swat the three away, but between their size and their ever continuing bonks, he wasn’t having much luck. After all, the Mightys weren’t stopping at just three bonks, no way.

Around then, Parad looks up from his game to see what the commotion is, just in time for Cyan to plop into his lap to watch. He looked down at Cyan for a moment, then back to Kuroto and the three Mightys. “Huh,” He said quietly, before returning to his game, “Serves him right.”
