   This was written between seasons 16 and 17 of SVU and due to that I may have made contradictions to things that have happened since then. Reposting here as I have realised that SVU does have a lot of stories posted here and I am debating whether to write a sequel to this or a new story.

   At 18 Alex and Barba became best friends; so when Alex needed help to get out of a hell she called the one person she's always counted on, and now over a year later hell has found Alex again. Will the support of her best friend, and her extended family at the 1-6 and DA's office be enough for Alex to make it through? Can she ever be the Alex they all know and love again?
