"5up," Fundy began. "Light of my life."
"Fundy," 5up smiled fondly. "Pain in my ass."
Fundy didn't stop smiling, tail wagging behind him as he fought down a small urge to dance around and tackle 5up. You couldn't exactly blame him for getting so excited, at least 5up certainly couldn't.
He was just as excited, or at least he felt he was. He wouldn't be surprised if Fundy was even more so, all things considered.
And he loved seeing Fundy happy.
"Is that what I think it is?"
5up giggled, tipping forward to tap their foreheads together for a moment. It was hard not to with how genuinely Fundy was beaming up at him. "Well, what do you think it is, Fundy?"
"I- I know what it looks like, I just want to be sure."
5up smiled, holding out the awaited patch farther in invitation. "It is."
Fundy let out a very fox-like squeak, reverently cupping his hands to lift 5ups hands with the patch. 5up had commissioned it from someone he'd met in the imposter games, and he'd been waiting for it to arrive for weeks now.
It's arrived just in time, actually.
The patch was one that would stick to his jacket if he rolled a blaze rod over it. It was about the size of his palm, rectangular, and especially vibrant.
The three colors proudly looked up at him.
"Happy Pride, Fundy." 5up nudged their noses together for a moment before leaning back with a soft smile.
"Thank you," He replied, holding the patch close to him. "You don't know how much-"
His eyes stung, but the smile on his face only got wider. The flag represented more than you would think. It symbolized to him that his family accepted him, that his friends were supportive, that there was an entire community of people just like him. That he wasn't alone.
5up brushed the tears say with the pad of his thumb, smiling up at him. Fundy pushed forward a bit to shove his nose into 5ups hair, steadying his breath as 5up held onto him.
"Thank you."
"Of course, Fundy."
