Chapter Text
They had told each other that there was no need to worry, that they soon would see each other again and that they loved each other. It was necessary to remind each other of it because they both knew this could be the last time they saw each other. Before they had parted, they had shared a final kiss, which they had put almost a thousand years of feelings into, but it was first when their eyes caught each other from a distance that they both wished to run towards each other and never let go again. They knew it was against their nature not to do it, and it took all of the strength inside them not to give in to the urge. They took one last look at each other before simultaneously turning around and concentrating on the mission ahead of them in the hope that the separation would only last for those two years and not for an eternity.
