~Y/N's POV~
"You're leaving already?" Steve asks me and I nod.
"I don't have a reason to stay anymore. I'm sorry, good luck returning the stones" I tell him and he looks at me with a soft smile, Steve then pulls me into a hug and I return it.
"Please take care"
"I'll try to," I tell him walking away to say goodbye to the others.
I see Thor talking with Bruce and I walk towards them. The atmosphere of the place is too depressing for my liking, losing people will always be my biggest fear, yet I lost two of my best friend in only 24 hours.
"Lady Y/N, how are you feeling?" Thor asks me as I take a seat next to them.
"Could be better with all honesty. I've always hated funerals" I explain and Thor pats my back. I look at him attempting to put on a smile but it quickly falls as grief takes over me again.
"I should have been there. That way I would have saved him, I would have saved both of them" I say. Thor pulls me in for a hug while Bruce goes to pat my back reassuringly.
"You can't blame yourself for what happened Lady Y/N"
"Thor's right, there was nothing we could've done, it was out of our control" Bruce adds as he joins the hug.
"But I might have. Now they are gone, just like Loki, I wasn't able to save him, and I will never forgive myself for that" I explain, crying into Thor's shoulder as I hug him tighter.
After Loki passed away, Thor stopped being as joyful and happy as he once was; But how can I blame him, I as well lost all form of hope and life I had left inside of me. Loki was everything to me, and he was taken away as quickly as he was given, ironically enough by the same man.
After his death, I was constantly haunted and mocked by the memory of his murder. His last words to me always playing in my head.
'My love, everything will be okay'
Why did he have to be so stubborn and reckless?
Why couldn't he just let me help him for once?
Why did he always have to solve everything by himself?
Why did he always forget he was loved!!
"Loki's death will never be your fault Lady Y/N, we weren't able to do anything, but that doesn't mean it was our fault," Thor tells me, and I nod moving away from the hug.
"You are right. I didn't mean to breakdown like that, I'm sorry"
"There's nothing to be sorry for Y/N, sometimes you need to let it out," Bruce says and I nod, I hug both of them again and stand up.
"I have to go now, my boss is waiting for me. But, I hope to see you two soon, take care" I tell them and they say goodbye to me as I wave at them walking off.
Now that I've talked with those two I'm pretty much done, but there's still someone I have to say goodbye to.
"Hey Pete.." I say, taking a seat next to a teary and red-eyed Peter. The poor boy is just a kid, yet he has lost so many people and had to say goodbye to his mentor and parental figure. Reminds me a bit too much of someone I knew.
"Y/N, hey" He says, as he quickly attempts to dry his tears but I stop him shaking my head.
"It's okay, expressing your emotions shows just how strong you are. I was just crying a minute ago" I add chuckling. Peter looks at me for a second before his eyes shut close as he breakdown.
"Come here kid," I tell him, pulling him into a hug as he cries into my shoulder hugging back.
I feel like something most of my friends and co-workers forget is that unlike us, kids aren't supposed to be dealing with trauma at the age of 15; Which leads to many of us not being sympathetic enough with the young heroes around us, like Peter and Wanda.
Those two have gone through a lot, and they are still so young. Peter is only 16 if I'm not wrong, and Wanda is just starting her early 20s, they should not be as broken as they are.
"It's okay, let it all out, I'm here"
"He's gone. He's really gone Y/N. Mr. Stark is gone" Peter says, still crying. I pat his back as I pull him closer.
"I know, I'm sorry Pete. But he was always so proud of you, he cared so much for you, never forget that okay" I tell him and he nods as he moves away from the hug and wipes his tears.
"Really?"
"Really! Tony was a very doubtful person, but he never doubted you at any point. He was always so proud of you, he would never shut up about you" I told him and he chuckled.
"Thank you Y/N," Peter says as he hugs me again.
"No worries Pete honestly, I'm always here for you. I have to go though, work awaits" I tell him patting his head and messing up his head, "Remember not to be so tough on yourself"
"Alright, be careful Y/N," He says and I nod as I stand up and wave goodbye at him.
...
I then walk off to meet Mobius at the location we agreed on. I have been working under his wing ever since I joined the TVA, and he's honestly an amazing person. He also has studied Loki for years and it's very nice to be able to talk to him about Loki and all our adventures and moments.
"Mobius?" I shout, wondering where he is. A familiar yellow portal then appears in front of me, and from it, Mobius comes out.
"Hey Y/N, it's been a while!" He says and I smile at him as we both walk towards each other hugging. After working for Mobius for a while he has honestly become like a brother to me, he's family.
"It has been hasn't it, how is the TVA?" I ask him.
"Alright, I guess. There has been this one issue though, but I should tell you somewhere more privately" He explains and I nod. I wonder exactly what's wrong?
"Is it that serious?"
"Slightly, all I'll say for now is that it is complicated" He explains and I nod confused.
We go through the portal and into the TVA, as we walk through the corridors I see Mobius is carrying a file.
"I'll carry that for you," I say as I go to grab it. I am Mobius's assistant for the time so it's my job to help him around and find out what case we are working on.
"Oh no, don't worry," He says moving away and holding the file closer to him.
"What are you hiding?" I ask him, raising my eyebrow as I look at him suspiciously. He turns to look at me with that smile you can see it's hiding something behind it.
"Oh, nothing. There's just no need for you to carry it, I can do it myself" He explains and I look at him unsure.
"Then can I have it to read what the case is about?" I ask him and he just walks faster ignoring my question until we are at the courtroom.
"You should wait here, I just need to take care of something. Wait actually! I need you to get me the past report and objects from the last case, can you get them for me, thanks!" He quickly says before rushing away into the courtroom.
What in the world is going on with him?
I shake my head unsure but make my way towards where we keep the reports in order to get what he needs. I don't often question Mobius but he really is acting strange today.

Once I have everything I start looking around for Mobius as I can't seem to find him. In the distance, I spot Hunter walking off somewhere so I rush towards her trying as she will probably know where Mobius is.
"Hunter!" I shout as I run towards her. She turns around to look at me and gives me a soft smile.
"Y/N, hey, you're back," She says and I nod as I stop in front of her.
"I have! Hey, have you seen Mobius? He asked me to get some things for him but now I can't find him" I ask her.
"Oh yeah, he decided to go play cat and mouse with a variant that he believes will be 'useful" She says clearly bothered by the idea, "He should in the time theatre with him," She tells me and I nod.
"Oh, interesting, no wonder he was acting strange. Well, thank you for the help Hunter!" I tell her and she nods waving at me as I run off.
As I arrive at the time theatre I knock on the door and open it holding the reports and objects close to me so they don't fall.
"Hey Mobius I got you the report and objects you asked me for, it was a bit hard to find them but I managed to do it" I explain carefully going in and turn around shutting the door.
As I look up from the files my eyes open wide and my hands let go of the files and objects. I stand there shocked as I start shaking, my eyes start to tear up as I make eye contact with someone I believed to never see again.
"Loki?" I ask staring at him. My eyes stay put on him, I don't blink fearing once I do he will be gone and it was just my mind playing tricks on my mind all along. My breathing speeds up and tears fall down my cheeks. Is it really him? How can it be him?
I turn to look at Mobius confused and heart-struck, is this why he was acting so weird.
"Mobius? What's happening?" I ask him confused.
Hey there guys!!! Here's the first chapter of my new yet continuous Loki fanfic!! For those who have read my other Loki fanfic, this will link to it! For those who haven't, it's okay! It won't affect anything really if you haven't read it. I hope you enjoyed the chapter because I honestly did! I had a lot of fun writing it and can't wait to write the next one!!
