Clé 1: Control

Summary:

Stray Kids have disappeared. Could a curious-looking elevator be an answer? And just like that, on the other side is Stray Kids.

There are only 2 problems:
1) When coming through the Levanter, the boys lost Woojin, and are desperate to get him back.
2) All memory of their lives were lost, as soon as they stepped through the Levanter. They don't know that they are idols, or know who their family is. You do remember however, and decide to tell them about their lives, but then you have another thought: maybe Stray Kids wouldn't like to be Stray Kids?

The fate of 9 boys lays in the hands of one of their many fans, but the journey won't be easy. You and Stray Kids could never forget how much you both relied on each other and helped one another out.

Notes:

Hi all and welcome to my story! I am writing this out of my love for Stray Kids - I've been a Stay since after Yellow Wood era.

Overall this story is loosely based off the Stray Kids MV's, and contains plenty of mystery. This is my first fanfic on Stray Kids! This is pretty random and probably unrealistic, let's just roll with it. This purely fiction and does not represent the real people mentioned in any way, apart from my immagination.

Feel free to comment your thoughts, feedback and reactions.
Thanks for reading, enjoy!

Chapter 1: Entrance

Chapter Text

You've always wanted to go on a big adventure. Like randomly travelling the world solo, or working for a virtual reality company, or exploring a jungle and its secret tombs. It was good enough for you, just to imagine it. But this adventure however wasn't your imagination.

"What!" you say out loud. Stray Kids is missing, how does that even happen? Don't they have a manager, you know, to manage things? You braced your hands on the cold steel of the bench, just trying to relax. Well, relaxing and thinking - thinking was definitely one of your hobbies. I hope they can be found, I just don't believe it's real!

Sure enough, though, it was real. No clownery this time, you were sure.

Tweet: In the recent events, JYP has revealed that an investigation is currently taking place in regards to the whereabouts of their boy-group Stray Kids. JYP apologises to fans for the sudden news and for worrying fans.

After the news, you had grabbed your coat and walked out the door putting on your necklace. It consisted of a key hanging on a piece of rope that you bought from a shop in the city. It made you feel like you were an explorer, going on a journey somewhere. The only place you were headed however, was towards the park located at the end of the street - where you were sitting now.

In shock once again, you gaze around the fairly old playground equipment. No one was around, so you decide to close your eyes for a second, feeling the breeze. But suddenly, a bitterly cold wind picks up out of nowhere. Your phone rings from beside me. Ahh, I should really change that ringtone. It still brings back those memories.

But when you look up, a creaking noise coming from a group of tree's nearby steals your attention. Moving closer to the curious noise nestles crunching underfoot, the trees separate to form a small clearing. And to your surprise, there's an...elevator? You look behind you to make sure no one else is looking, before stepping towards the strange machine to inspect further. Coming closer, it was actually quite large. The wide panels of glass showed your reflection in a triangular pattern built into the doors. The roof pointed upwards towards the tops of the trees, which were also reflected. Almost like a camouflage method.

Looking around the frame of the door, you spot a small keyhole. You bend down to peek through when a small sparkle of silver catches your eye. The key on your necklace. The key slides in the elevator perfectly and begins to turn without a problem. You bring the key back to its original position and spend a few moments arguing with yourself if it should be turned fully. Another large gust of wind blows through the trees as if it is hurrying you up. Well, there is no way that this heavy thing would be able to get here, it's just insane, so why don't you just go along with it?

Turning the key, with a satisfying click, the doors slide open to reveal a medium-sized space, with a steel floor and a few leaves scattered here and there. You notice a small scuff mark near the bottom of the wall and try to ignore it as much as possible as you set foot inside. There's a beeping noise followed by the panel of buttons lighting up - L, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Well, since this is already impossible, I might as well explore a bit right? You press the button with '1' marked on it.

Looking around for a handrail for balance, you don't find one, instead, you realise that the elevator hadn't moved at all.

A moth buzzes around and the rectangle light, and some cords someone didn't bother to tape out of sight. Maybe this wasn't a good idea? What am I talking about, this is a terrible idea?!

It flickers - and panic rises.
