Tommy has known for a long time what this server does to people.
He's watched it first hand time and time again. He's watched kind people turn into soldiers. He watched as the respected brother became a general, a president, an insane man, hell even a ghost!
He watched as this server tore his already damaged family apart. He watched as he was replaced. Ranboo, so kind, patient everything he is and also isn't so as he watched as ranboo took his place in the family he was never truly a part of. well maybe at one time very long ago before lmanburg, before dreamsmp, long before wilbur even had half a insane thought. Long before phil took techno and left him and wilbur to fend for themselves.
However if he ever truly was a part of the family that he is now casted out of because of his own mistakes (and theirs as well) no less he was all too young to remember it. So as he stands by the edge of the server the border that separates what was once dreams land and maybe still is he doesn't understand how smp ownership works and he doesn't think he’ll ever care to learn. All the same he stands by the edge and looks at the portal that could bring him back to the hub. Hub, a strange phenomenon most people don't think about too much. the simple place black nothingness lined with code that somehow could take you from any server, hypixel like game to another place of course there isn't just one hub no there are thousands! places like servers can have hubs if they so desire and places like bedwars do have them however the main hub is nothing special, a simple black wall and code however it has been years since tommys seen it since dream locked down the server allowing occupants to come in but never out. Years had passed since that day no one had noticed at first until purpled tried to leave for bedwars but found he couldn't. Purpled complained for weeks during the manburg VS. pogtopia war. Tommy heard from dream, and Tommy has a slight suspicion that purpled’s place on dreams side in the fight had something to do with his disappearance afterwards. However no one else ever got to leave so they all seemed to give up. Never going to check if the portal would open. hell! Tommy never would have either if it weren't for the visit with dream where he was killed and then revived. Dream was right when he said Wilbur knew things beyond comprehension. Wilbur told him in that damn void that because they had died if they were ever revived they would have access to it (something about the code being broken or something Tommy was too bored and upset to really listen past that). So a few days after he had been let out of the prison he went to check and sure enough it was up and running! he was happy and excited! he could finally leave! But when he was running back to his house the thought occurred to him that tubbo couldn't leave, ranboo also couldn't leave! No one else had the opportunity he did. and at that moment he realized he would have to kill dream permanently so that the others on the server could leave. So he came up with a plan to sneak into the prison and kill dream. He knew when you kill an admin of a server that you get that power. He knew this from his time being the leader of the faction business bay. a melancholy feeling came over him thinking of his past team, past best friends. He really hoped they were doing better than he was. However despite his planning his work and all of the hard work he put into his plan it all fell through. Sam stopped him from killing dream and to add to it all wilbur was revived FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC! And no one cared either! Tubbo and ranboo are upset with him Ranboo even swore! Sure hell isn't a bad work in the long run however it was the most ranboos done! Puffy is off with the egg shit and Sam sees him as a liability to the prison. It's obvious techno and Phil wants nothing to do with him and do we need to go into the whole rocket duo thing that happened with the nukes? And so as he stood again next to this portal this escape he continued to debate going in… dream couldn't get to him ever and he would never have to go back… maybe he could start fresh somewhere else? No one here cared for him anymore and the only true loss would be tubbo and ranboo but they've made it clear this week that they don't want anything to do with him. and there was nothing here for him anymore how was it that puffy put it during one therapy session? ‘Sometimes the best thing to do is to get out of a bad situation.’ Well he was tired of being the hero, tired of having to save the damn server so he took a final breath in, closed his eyes and walked into the portal. And at that time a minute later a single message was displayed across the server's communicators…
