It took a minute for Tamaki to realize where he was. Soon he realized he was back at the Chisaki raid. He looked around just in time to see Mirio scream and get stabbed by Overhaul.
“No!” Tamaki shouted as he woke up. He then looked over at Mirio, still peacefully sleeping, and still alive. Even though he felt terrible about it,he gently shook Mirio awake.
“Mmmm, Tamaki, what--,” Mirio immediately pulled Tamaki into his chest and cut himself off when he realized Tamaki was crying.
“Hey, hey what’s wrong ‘Maki?” Miro asked in a gentle voice.
“I had a nightmare w-where we were b-back at the raid. You-you d-died and I couldn’t save you.”
Mirio felt his heart shattered into (Le)million pieces as Tamaki described the nightmare. He could only imagine how he would feel if the raven haired boy was taken from him.
“Tama, hey, you’re okay, and I'm completely safe.”
As Tamaki processed this statement, Mirio placed a peck on Tamaki’s forehead.
“Thanks Mirio.”
“Anytime, moonlight. Are you ready to sleep?”
“Yeah.”
Then they fell asleep in each other’s arms with no nightmares in sight.
