Chapter 1: “Blood? Are you Bleeding?”

Chapter Text

Prompt 80: "Blood? Are you bleeding?”

The mission wasn’t supposed to be 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 hard.

Wanda knew that, of course.

She really just wanted to get back to the Tower and lay down, not caring if she was bleeding from getting shot.

It wasn’t even that bad; it was small, and the billet was out. The bleeding wouldn’t stop, but there was a a gauze over it so it seemed fine.

She sighs, staring out one of the windows of the Quinjet as Natasha comes to sit down beside her.

“Hey.” The older woman whispers, placing a hand on Wanda’s shoulder, brushing away some dirt.

She was covered in dirt. Her black stockings and black dress were no longer black. Instead, being a beige color.

The red jacket wasn’t good either.

Her hair was also a tangled mess, something that she knew probably didn’t look good.

Wanda looks up at the redhead, seeing how her catsuit was zipped up, not revealing some of her chest, and her ginger hair tumbled done her back neatly.

She looked fine.

“Hey.” Wanda whispers, almost inaudible.

Natasha rubs her fingers over eachother, before taking Wanda’s hands in her own. “The mission was a success. The village is free.”

Wanda releases a breath of relief, closing her eyes slightly. “That’s good.” She whispers. “That’s very good.”

At 18, she could understand the different between bad and good. She had always had a knack for doing that, even before she could go into people’s heads and find out their true intentions.

“How are you?” Natasha asks in all seriousness. “Is the bleeding stopping or seeping through?”

The woman pressed a hand to the side of Wanda’s stomach lightly, before Wanda instantly wrapped her hand around Natasha’s, pulling it away.

She took Natasha’s hand in her own, smiling slightly. “I am alright.” She replies, her accent thick on her words. “There are probably other people to tend to.” She looks over to Steve Rogers, the Captain America who was laying down, pressing a hand to his own stomach. “Check on him.”

Natasha swallows, not wanting to say how she wished she was staying with Wanda because the girl was younger, but she already knew that.

Of course Wanda knew that, she was a telepath.

She sighs, before whispering to the brunette. “Alright.”

Wanda exhales a breath as Natasha leaves her alone. She didn’t hate Natasha, she actually really liked the woman and she knew the woman liked her. But she didn’t want to be coddled like a child right now.

She was fine, couldn’t they see it?!

Loki waited at the tower.

More specifically, Wanda’s room.

They were dating, and ever since the two had gotten close they would spend nights in each other’s rooms at the Avengers Tower.

They didn’t have sex, obviously since neither of them were up to that step into their relationship, but staying in each other’s rooms when either was scared was nice.

Of course Loki had to rule Jotunheim, but he also could spend time as an Avenger.

He was lucky.

Knocking took him out of his thoughts.

He sighs and goes to the door, seeing none other than Tony Stark, Iron Man.

“Hey Frosty.” Tony says in a cool tone, a drink in his hand.

He was wearing the same Black Sabbath shirt. For the 3rd time this week.

It was Thursday.

“Stark.” Loki replies, his own tone cold.

“Woah! What’s up with the cold tone, Frosty? I was just saying hi.” Stark grumbles, rolling his eyes. Loki continued to stare him down. “Fine, fine. The little witch his coming home in like, 30 minutes.”

“How was the mission?” Loki asks.

“A success.” Tony says with a smirk. “I’ll be going. By Frosty the snow man!”

As Tony walks away, Loki lets out a small smile; Stark could be funny when he wasn’t being a pain in the ass.

Wanda holds her side as she stumbles to the elevator, glad she and Loki were the only ones sharing a floor together.

She wasn’t in the mood to allow the other Avengers to see her looking like a bleeding mess.

She wasn’t that weak; sure, her brother was dead and she had a mental break down after that, refusing to come out of her room and whatever, but that was okay.

She had lost the only person she had blood connection with.

Yet here she was, crying because of a little blood on a simple mission.

That, she fully believed, was pathetic.

So she sighs, putting pressure on her bloody side, tears almost coming down her cheeks.

“Come on come on!” She cries, her rings jingling against her dress.

Small droplets of water form in her eyes, hitting her dress.

“No!” She cries, hitting her side roughly.

She sighs, leaning her head against the elevator doors as she’s lifted up to floor 9, the shared one with Loki.

All the others were probably on the lower floors, being together while she just wanted to go to bed.

A singing sound brought her out of her thoughts as she realizes she had arrived to her floor.

Loki was probably in his own room, awaiting her arrival, so she rushed to her own room, not sparing a glance at his side of the floor.

She immediately opened her door, rushing inside, and slamming the door and laying against it.

She closes her eyes, releasing heavy breaths.

“Wanda?” She hears a voice ask.

‘𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘵-'

“Loki.” Wanda says. “I’m tired. Can I please go to bed?” She asks, walking over to her closet, where he happened to be by.

'𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦?' She thinks to herself, before a hand grabs her wrist lightly.

Loki.

She slides her hand out of his grip, and he’s able to to see her body, especially her bloody side.

"𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱? 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴?" Loki asks, genuine confusion etched on his face.

“‘M fine!” She almost yells, stumbling away into her closet.

“No you’re not!” He yells back, following her.

She pushes him back with her magic, locking the doors from the inside.

“Wanda, let me in!” He yells.

“I’m fine! Stop worrying!” She yells back.

Loki bangs on the door, lightly, before he hears a loud bang.

“Wanda?!” He yells. “Wanda, let me in!”

He sighs, knowing Stark would have his ass if he broke the door but he didn’t care. He kicks the door down, seeing the collapsed Wanda on the ground, blood coming out of her.

“Shit.” He murmurs, before picking her up bridal style, rushing to the elevator.

His breathing hitches as he sees Wanda’s limp body.

In his arms.

He puts a hand on her face. “Come on, Little Witch. You’re gonna be alright.”

The elevator dings came slow.

5. He had to go to the 5th floor.

That was where the medical stuff would be.

“So how’d she get hurt?” Helen Cho asks, tilting her head with a data pad in her hand.

Wanda was laying down on the table, no longer wearing the bloodied dress or dirt covered jacket and stockings.

Her boots were somewhere in the lab.

“I-“ He starts, but another voice finishes.

“She was shot on our most recent mission.” Natasha Romanoff states.

“Alright.” Helen Cho says. “I’ll get back to you. We need to see if the bullet is still in there. If not, see if there’s internal bleeding and whatever. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.”

Natasha nods, and Loki stands there like an idiot.

“What?” He asks, turning around to face the Russian assassin.

“You heard me. She was shot. Anyways, Stark isn’t hosting a party this weekend. Said the bullet wound would affect Wanda too much. He doesn’t want her to get hurt. Plus, the party would only consist of us.”

“Wanda was shot?”

“Yes, I just said that.”

“Oh my-holy shit.”

“Don’t talk to cap with that language.” Natasha smirks.

Loki smiles. “I won’t.” He looks over to Wanda. “Can’t believe she got shot.”

“She’s a fighter.” Natasha starts. “She’s your fighter.” She adds at the last minute, before stepping out.

Loki smiles again, for the first time in a while.
