Summary
As you grow older, you end up having to make a lot of choices. Some choices are easy while others are hard. Sometimes you make the right choice and sometimes you don't.
Growing up in his household, Mark had always been taught about the importance of weighing all the facts and possibilities before making a choice. While his parents did not give him the same freedom as his other siblings, they still made him feel heard and respected the choices he made based on the restrictions put onto him.
Mark was the middle child in a family that had 5 children. He had two older brothers and two younger brothers. One of his older brothers was adopted and his younger brothers were twins. Middle children would often be neglected, but that was not the case for Mark. He was what his parents called a miracle baby.
Due to the difficulty in conceiving Mark, his parents grew quite protective over him. They tried their hardest not to be overbearing, but Mark could see how they would pay extra attention to him whenever he was doing something that worried them. This became slightly worse when his secondary gender came in.
