Family and general life
Sakura Haruno is an high school student in modern world, and works as a waitress in her parents small restaurant in down time. She has one of the best grandes of her class. Of course, her grades are great for a reason. She focuses solely on her studies, and almost never has fun in school. Just focusing on getting on one of the best universities as soon as possible so she can begin working and becoming successful. Deep down she would really like a boyfriend though.
Her mother, Mebuki, was always too demanding and seemed never to be happy with Sakura's work.
"Why do I have to work at your stupid restaurant? Can't you and father just hire a few more people to help out? I should be training with the other girls"
Her mother would always argue back:
"This is the best way for you to learn the value of a dollar. You don't want to grow up to be a lazy, good-for-nothing like your aunt, do you?”
Sakura indeed was member of the cheerleaders of her school, and she would rather be with her friends in her free time. Ino Yamanaka despised Sakura since she was accepted and made that very clear
"Why do we have on our team a a big shrimp that can't do anything right?"
Ino
Ino would always make fun of her forehead and her weight, when in reality she was just around the same weight as Sakura. Sakura on the other hand would always laugh at Ino's minor mistakes.
Ino was indeed the stereotypically popular cheerleader: girls admired her and guys wanted her, she had a way with people and was very outgoing. Sakura knew that the team needed Ino and would never get rid of her since out of the ten cheerleader spots, the team would be incomplete without their leader, Ino, on it. In reality Sakura and Ino were once childhood friends, but they started to despise each other when they entered middle school. By the time they got to high-shool, they were mortal enemies as they used to fight for the same boys.
Ino and Sakura were also interested in Sasuke, as much as everyone else in school. Ino flirted harder with him.To this day she doesn't know if Ino had a crush on Sasuke, or was just doing it to rile her up. Ino would do things like wear revealing clothing when she knew Sasuke was watching, or bend down in front of him to pick something up and show him her clevage. Sakura and her friends would call Ino 'pig' when she did that, she would always get angry at them for it.
Sasuke
Sasuke was handsome,but seemed apathetic to everyone. Other than being handsome, was also the richest guy of the academy, his family owned a large company called the Uchiha Corp. He was known as a prodigy, one of the smartest guys in the academy and he showed it by acting like an emotionless bastard to most people. He didn't talk much and when he did; he sounded condescending. All the girls would give everything to be his girlfriend and boys tolerated him because he was quite good at sports. He also had a best friend that no one understood why Sasuke hanged out with him: Naruto. He was loud, obnoxious, and didn't have much sense when it came to social skills.
Sakura had an advantage over Ino though: She was partnered with Sasuke in the junior year, for the science lab group. There was just one problem, that idiot, Naruto, was also in the group, and he took up most of the teams time. As a result, they never got to practice much and were always last place at all competitions. Naruto, other than being loud and obnoxious, he didn't have much sense when it came to studying and was bringing her and Sasuke grades down.
Sakura would stil try to bond with sasuke and ignore Naruto:
"Hey Sasuke, let's study together for the test tomorrow".
Sasuke would reply: "No, I have something else to do"
Everything changed in the beginning of the sophomore, when Sasuke's family was assassinated. Everybody in the academy discovered that Sasuke's family was mafia involve in trafficking and creating a biological weapon, and his brother was a wanted criminal, the case reached in national news, everyone thought that Itachi indeed was involved in the assassination of his own family.
Sakura and Naruto were the only to defend Sasuke when people gossiped
"How do you know he was involved?" asked Sakura.
"Doesn't matter, what matters is that he's going to get the death sentence", replied a classmate of hers.
After Sasuke droped out school in his last year, Ino who had a new boyfriend, throwed a party in her mansion, she had one of the best houses of the town. Naruto appeared and Sasuke surprinsngly was there too, despite the bad rumours. Sakura drank too much that night, and smoked weed and used other drugs for the first time, Sasuke and other people did the same. Sakura finally managed to kiss him! And they also had sex but she was not in her right state of mind, she barely even remembered what exactly they did when she woke up.
Sasuke left the academy soon after, and she was sure she would never see him again after that. She always missed him, no matter what he did, he was her first love and nobody ever compared to him.
Teen Pregnancy
As months passed, Ino quickly moved on from Sasuke, he was a criminal after all. Sakura was hearbroken with all the recent events. Though she was really glad, as she was accepted in an Ivy league university. She also discovered that a random girl, Hinata, and her classmate, Naruto, were also accepted in the same college, to her surprise.
"How come you applied in this college?" asked a surprised Sakura.
"My dad made me" Naruto replied, rolling her eyes, "he said it would be good for me".
"Did he really? I'm sure he would be glad to hear about me joining as well!"
Everything would be perfect if in the beginning of the gap year Sakura didn't discover that she was pregnant, and the only guy that she had sex was in fact Sasuke.
She was really embarrassed since she had to go to a pharmacy and buy a pregnancy kit. Even more embarrassing, she bumped into her mom who was also doing her grocery shopping there.
"What are you buying?" asked her mom.
"Nothing..." she replied, blushing.
"Sakura, I'm your mother and I birthed you, don't think I can't notice that you're pregnant".
Sakura was so angry with herself for not being vigilant.
"Who's the father?" she asked angrily.
How she would explain to her parents that she was pregnant and a disappeared criminal was the father? And worst of all, when she thought about Sasuke her heart still fluttered, her feelings for him were still there.
"Mom, I-"
"Sakura Haruno!" shouted a man who wore a flamboyant clothing, and an orange suit.
"Oh, great it's Naruto.." she thought.
"You're late, let's go".
"I'm not going, I don't feel so well".
"Don't make me mad sweety, I bought you something and I want you to have it".
Naruto still had a crush on her and tried to win her, and when he discovered that he was going to the same university made him more annoying as he believed they were fated to each other. Maybe because of her stress, or due to her hormones, she punched him in the face and he flew to a near wall.
Everyone in the store stared at them, she was scared that someone would call the police, but they just looked and went their own ways.
Naruto indeed laughed, he knew that Sakura were a physical person, she hit him many times in a friendly way before, during the classes.
"You punch pretty hard". He said while touching his face.
"Yeah, well don't mess with me!" she shouted.
She felt a bit tired, and sat on a sofa that was in the store. Her mother was horrirified seeing everything and scolded Sakura
"Sakura! How could you do this to Naruto?!"
Naurto laughed though "Don't worry madam, I'm in love with sakura-chan!".
Sakura was confused, and didn't know what to say "I'm not in love with him!".
Naruto also laughed when he heard that.
"Oh, you're so cute when you're shy, Sakura -Chan."
Naruto
Naruto managed to make Sakura go to a walk with him in that aftertnoon, Sakura was confused but deep down relieved that she wouldn't need to talk with her mother. The gap between them was widening every day. So Sakura finally accepted to go for a walk, despite being irritated at Naruto.
Naruto held her hand while they walked through a park, he was really happy and was talking about his life as a future politician, it was really awkward.
"Naruto, I have something to tell you..."
Her mind was far away though, and in that morning Naruto was the first to discover that Sakura was pregnant with Sasuke's baby, his happiness quickly turned into sadness.
"It will be alright, I'll help you in any way I can..."
She was really broken after that, how could she have been so stupid to fall in love with a criminal?
In that morning though, was the first time she genuinely appreciated and became close to Naruto, since he was very attentive. She asked if Naruto knew of Sasuke's wereabouts, he said he didn't and promised to find out.
Sasuke Uchiha was gone, but his baby would stay, and she would always believe that one day he would return.
Her parents freaked out when they discovered that Sasuke was the father of her baby, they told her that she needed to get an abortion as soon as possible. Sakura couldn't do it, she couldn't kill her own child. She then even considered runing away home since her mother was making her life hell, but she rememberd than soon she would attend a Ivy league and would need her parents support to pay the college. Sakura decided to have a child and also go to college to be far away from her parents. Life would be hard from now on, but with a little support of her friends she would survive.
