Summary
Kung Lao had been compared to Liu Kang his whole life, and has always fallen short. Kung Lao was always considered second best, and was trying his best to live up to the chosen one. Then when Kung Lao's skill surpassed Liu Kang's, and he was still being told that he was worse, Liu Kang snapped and defended Kung Lao in a way that he had never seen before.
