zoomin: I've never been good at putting my thoughts into words, but this is so much harder

the ultimate mom: I don't believe Oikawa is petty enough to cut you out of his life like that.

the ultimate mom: Then perhaps you should stop thinking so much about what to write, and instead just feel.

zoomin: what?

the ultimate mom: I know, so let's start with something easy.
the ultimate mom: What is the first thing you think of when you think of Oikawa?

zoomin: his stupid face

the ultimate mom: Iwaizumi.

zoomin: ok, maybe I could have phrased that better
zoomin: I do think of his face, though. his eyes are just so intense y'know? and his smile makes my heart literally skip a beat. I don't mean his stupid fake smile, I hate it when he tries to pull that shit on me. his real smile is the only one I ever want to see.
zoomin: I know that sounds really superficial, but it's true
zoomin: everyone knows how beautiful he is, I'd be an idiot if I didn't

the ultimate mom: Okay, what else? I'm sure he would be flattered to hear you say that, but there has to be more to it than just his face.

zoomin: you have no idea

the ultimate mom: Enlighten me, then.

zoomin: for starters, I've known him practically my entire life. our moms are best friends, so obviously we were too. I don't actually know when I realized that I liked him more than a friend.
zoomin: I don't think there ever was a sudden realization, I just kinda knew. I'm sure it was bound to happen whether we had grown up together or not.
zoomin: he was always so enchanting, as cringy as that sounds. he constantly puts on a show for everyone around him, and it pisses me off when he does it to me. he can't fool me and he knows it, so I don't understand why he's been acting all tough lately.
zoomin: I can tell he's fighting whatever it is that's messing with him, though. I know he's strong enough to get through things on his own. I've seen him do it countless times when he wouldn't let me help, but that doesn't mean I don't wish he'd let me try.
zoomin: we've seen each other at our worst and at our best, so there's nothing we can really hide from each other. I'm honestly surprised that I've been able to keep my feelings under wraps for this long.

the ultimate mom: Do you have a favorite thing that Oikawa does or says?

zoomin: I couldn't pick a favorite thing about him even if my life depended on it
zoomin: I will say, however, that watching him talk about aliens never fails to bring a smile to my face. he gets so excited and it's seriously one of the best things to see.
zoomin: of course, I'd never tell him that. he'd never let me live it down.

the ultimate mom: Well, it sounds to me like you have plenty of love letter material.

zoomin: what?

the ultimate mom: Everything that you have just told me seems like perfect love letter content.

zoomin: are you kidding? I can't write all that sappy junk and actually give it to him

sugar&spice: who said you had to give it to him in person?

zoomin: what else would I do??

the ultimate mom: You could leave it in his locker for him to read tomorrow.

sugar&spice: nah, that'll make him question the sincerity of the letter

zoomin: I just had an idea

sugar&spice: what is it?

zoomin: can't say, you'll just have to see tomorrow

the ultimate mom: Even after we've helped you so much?

zoomin: yep

Hi. It's me again. Sorry for being gone for so long. Life really hit hard this past year.

Wow. It's been a year.

A lot has happened since then, and it is safe to say that I am a very different person now. But I still love this story. I think I always will. That's why I've decided to come back! Updates will not be scheduled, nor will they have any sort of pattern to them. I don't want this to become a chore, like it was before (haha, that rhymed). I'm just going to write for fun, and I hope everyone who reads it loves it just as much as I do. I will also be going back to all of the previous chapters and rewriting/editing them. The words may change, but I will do my best to keep the plot the same as it was before. Feel free to reread those before my next update, but there is absolutely no pressure.
