He hadn’t used a coping mechanism. He had just. Well. Tenzō had just...honestly, Kakashi didn’t know. He couldn’t deny that the role reversal he’d participated in with Tenzō had resolved his panic attack, but to call it a coping mechanism? That implied that it was something to be used strategically. Something repeatable. Something he should ‘stick with’ according to the Hokage. How would that even work? When he felt an episode coming on he would call on Tenzō to boss him around?
The implications of that caused that same worried twist in Kakashi’s stomach that he wasn’t ready to unpack at this point.
