Chapter 1: Love in the Library
Chapter Text
Evil Jeff groaned as he shook off the portal fatigue. It had taken ages, but finally Abed had perfected the formula, and now he was here, in the prime timeline, for one singular purpose -
Annie.
Not Evil Annie, his counterpart. The Annie that hadn't gone insane, the one that had kept her level head and thrived. He didn’t want to sound unsympathetic to Evil Annie - their time as a couple had been like a scary but exhilarating storm, one in which they were perfectly in tune to their own depravity.
But that relationship was over. Evil Jeff was, of course, not suddenly ‘good’. But he had a changed perspective. Good Annie wouldn’t seek his approval in everything, clutching to him out of fear. She’d assert her own thoughts. She’d carve a path forward that she wanted, regardless of whether he thought otherwise.
Somehow, the thought of such a driven force sharing in his love made his skin shiver and his heart race.
He’d picked the perfect outfit for her. His goal might have changed, but his style was too impeccable to evolve. A deep black dress shirt that showed off his muscles, suit trousers, and a Rolex he could afford because of all the assets of Greendale he’d pawned off in the Darkest Timeline. Instantly he knew where Annie would be - the library.
With natural swagger he sauntered up to her where she sat, absorbed in a criminology textbook. Evil Jeff grinned. He knew what play to use here.
“Hey...is this seat taken, by any chance?”
With great bravado he sidled into the seat next to Annie, resting his arm on the table in front of her. Annie’s eyes widened.
“J-Jeff...you look happy today. Did you get a new face cream or something?”
He flashed her the coy yet mature smile he knew she loved. “No, actually. I’m just taken aback by how nice you look today. If looks could kill, not even I could get you off on all your counts of murder…”
Annie’s face became a rosy pink and she giggled lightly. “Aww...thanks. You’re usually more restrained than this…”
Evil Jeff leaned forward so their noses were almost touching. Annie’s large blue eyes widened. She wasn’t good at hiding how thrilled she was.
“Can I let you in on a little secret, Annie?”
“S-sure…”
“I am actually Evil Jeff. That’s why I’m so much less afraid. Regular Jeff couldn’t do this for you.”
Annie gasped frustratedly and got up. “What are you talking about? Did Abed dare you to do this? It isn’t funny!”
Evil Jeff chuckled. “If you doubt it, go to the study room. Your Jeff is currently sitting at his spot there.”
Naturally Annie was very unnerved by this Jeff. He did have a different energy to him… perhaps it was more suave? No! She was being dumb. There was only one Jeff!
Just to prove a point she strode through the library to the study room and pointed inside, ready to shatter his prank. Yet her mouth almost dropped to the floor when she saw a differently-clothed Jeff sitting inside, absently texting on his phone.
“Wha...how-how did you get here so quickly Jeff? And you changed your wardrobe too? GOD!”
Jeff shot her a completely puzzled look. “What the hell are you talking about? Did Britta give you some of her drugs? If you must know, I’ve been sitting in here for thirty whole minutes. Haven’t moved a perfectly manicured finger.”
Heart beating out of her chest, Annie turned around to see Evil Jeff leaning against a nearby bookcase, just out of Jeff’s line of sight. He had an annoying yet alluring ‘I told you so’ expression on his face.
She flounced up to him. “This can’t be happening, ok? Other timelines aren’t real, It’s fantasy,” Annie hissed.
“Would you really object to travelling to a fantasy land with me, though?”
Subtly Evil Jeff closed the gap between them once again. Annie’s blush somehow grew even further.
“But...you said you were ‘Evil’, right? You could hurt me. I have no intention of submitting to that.”
He rested his arm on the bookshelf above her. “I would never hurt you. ‘Evil’ doesn’t just mean comic-book villain, you know. I’ve endured the worst timeline. But that just means I’m prepared for anything...I’m prepared to give you anything…”
“Well, what about ‘Evil Annie’, then? Surely she exists,” Annie demanded, crossing her arms.
“Of course. But my life with her is in the past. It’s only you I want now, ever ambitious you.”
“You...you think I’m ambitious?”
“It’s true.”
Annie’s mind whirled. The Library was so quiet...she could almost hear his soothing breathing. She’d always wanted to be rebellious. Live it up before she died, or something like that. And right now she couldn’t think of anything she wanted to do more than kiss the temptingly pleasant lips of so-called ‘Evil’ Jeff.
“How about this,” Evil Jeff continued. “You give me one shot, right here, right now, and if it works out...well, it works out…”
“What?” Annie murmured with a gasp. “In the Library? What about other students, or the Dean…”
“They won’t find us. Trust me.”
“How?”
“Use your instincts, Annie. What do you want? What do you really want?”
Slowly she inched towards him. All reason seemed to fly out the window when she was confronted by his intense, relentlessly confident face. God, he was handsome. More handsome than regular Jeff, somehow.
Then, miraculously, she succumbed, pressing her lips confidently against his. Suddenly they were all over each other, hungrily making out against the bookshelves. Annie didn’t think she’d ever had such a fiercely passionate kiss before in her life. She could feel his satisfying muscles, the intoxicating heat radiating off him that only became more irresistible the longer it lasted.
And it was heavenly.
Chapter 2: Kissing in the Closet
Summary:
Jeff has a little run in with Evil Annie.
Notes:
Finally, on a whim, I decided to complete this saga. Is this idea weird? Yes. Did I have fun writing it? Also yes. Enjoy...
Chapter Text
After the rest of the study group failed to turn up for their post-lunch session, Jeff got up from his seat grumpily and made for the parking lot. He groaned as realised that he’d spent a whole day in Greendale without even properly goofing off with his group.
Like a reflex his eyes drifted back down to his phone as he strolled along the corridor, his fingers tip-tapping on the keys as he surfed twitter. His favourite menswear brand had discontinued his favourite colour of dress shirts, and so the responsibility fell on him to bitch about it online.
However, today, his lack of awareness of his surroundings ended up being his downfall. The door to a supply closet swung open to his right and squarely crashed into his face.
“Ah! What the…hell…?”
Jeff paused as he saw Annie, standing right there, in the middle of the cramped store room.
“Annie…what the hell are you doing in there?”
Something about her seemed off today. Her eyes seemed more…insatiable, hungry, imploring...Jeff brushed it off, knowing it wasn’t the first time he’d got lost in her eyes.
“Oh, just…waiting,” she said. Her voice was suggestive. “But I’m glad you’re here, because there’s something I need you to get from the top shelf that I can’t reach.”
Jeff scoffed. “Has the Dean conscripted you into an army of janitors now? I think you’re better than that, Annie.”
“I’m just being helpful,” Annie pouted. “Help me please?”
With a sigh Jeff walked inside the closet, not noticing Annie gently close the door behind him. “So, which thing do you need-”
He was cut off as she spun him around and rested her hands on his chest greedily, looking at him now with what was a strikingly seductive gaze.
“Uhhh…what-uh, what are you doing here Annie?” Jeff asked, his heart rate skyrocketing, though maybe out of fear.
“I have a confession to make,” she replied quietly. “I’m actually not…’your’ Annie, but…well, they call me ‘Evil’ Annie, but I’m nice really. It’s only because I’m from the darkest timeline.”
“If this is a prank-”
“It’s not. Look!”
She opened the closet door just a crack to show another Annie open her locker in the hallway outside. She seemed mostly like the regular old person Jeff knew, though she looked more giggly and flushed.
Evil Annie cleared her throat and continued. “Look, Jeff. I have my own counterpart in my timeline. An Evil Jeff. But he’s controlling, and angry, and he…would never treat me as well as you would. You’re amazing.”
“I’m really not. And, I…don’t know if I should be doing this. Also, there’s no way this isn’t a dream I’m having.”
“If this is all a dream, then,” Evil Annie purred, “Why not just take a chance?”
Jeff gulped. Evil Annie had shed the coat she was wearing and now had a strapless red dress on, which of course hugged all the right areas. What would be the harm, really? It could be a secret. If there was an Evil Jeff out there…maybe Annie had met him too.
He leaned in slowly but Evil Annie practically leapt into his arms, as their lips locked together and Jeff instantly felt her warmth. God, he could get used to this. He hated how tempted he had become by it all.
Or maybe he wasn’t - after all, wasn’t everything more fun with a little evil?
