Eijirou hesitated slightly before knocking on Bakugou's door. He tried to slow his breathing, it was fine, it would be fine.
Bakugou answered the door, his slightly annoyed expression softening when he saw it was Eijirou.
“Kirishima?” Bakugou said, waving a hand in front of his face when Eijirou just stared at him blankly.
“Oh sorry man, I uhm, I just wanted to talk to you about something, you mind if I come in?” Eijirou asked, trying desperately not to let his nervousness come out as a tremble in his voice.
“It's fine”
Katsuki let him in before him, closing the door when they were inside.
“Okay, uhm, fuck this is hard” Kirishima started, stuttering over his words as he tried to articulate himself.
Bakugou just watched him, his eyebrows raised not knowing what the redhead was failing to babble about.
“Okay I'm just going to say it, Jesus Christ, okay.” Eijirou closed his eyes too embarrassed by what he was about to say to watch Katsuki’s expression. “Katsuki, I've wanted to tell you this basically since I first met you. You're like the coolest, most amazing person I've ever met, I've always thought so ever since like back at the cavalry battle, you were just amazing. Sorry I'm rambling, this doesn't make sense.
Katsuki I like you, like a lot, I have for a while I've just never had the courage to say it before. I'm not sure if you feel the same way, if you do that would be amazing obviously, like if you'd be interested in going out with me I'd love that. But you know you're you so I'm not sure if you'd be interested in that”
Kirishima opened his eyes and looked at Bakugou whose eyes were wide and mouth ever so slightly open in what looked like shock.
“You don't need to answer right now Kats, you can tell me your answer whenever you want. If you don't feel the same, that's fine, but I hope we can still be friends.” He started making his way towards the door.
“I'll let you think about it, we can talk whenever alright”
Bakugou simply nodded his head, at that Kirishima left.
Katsuki had been love struck for Eijirou ever since he saw his stupid toothy smile and heard his stupidly adorable laugh. He was scared that he would reciprocate his feelings but now that he knew that he did, what the hell was he supposed to do?
He needed advice, and his future self was gonna berate him for his choices but now he had no other options.
He made his way down the hallway and stood outside the door, already kicking himself for what he was gonna do.
He knocked on the door. Izuku answered after a few seconds. A slightly confused expression on his face wondering why Bakugou was at his door.
“Kacchan?”
“I need advice, can I come in?” Bakugou asked through gritted teeth. God this was a new low why was he asking this nerd for fucking romantic advice.
Midoriya let him in. They stood in silence for a few seconds.
“So… what's up?”
“Kirishima confessed to me”
“Like romantically?”
“Yeah romantically, the hell else would I mean!”
“Just clarifying.
So what exactly do you need advice about? You've been staring at Kirishima like a love drunk school girl basically since you met him. What's the problem?”
“The fuck did you just call me?!”
“A love struck school girl Kacchan.” Izuku chuckled. “It's not hard to miss when you make googly eyes at him at all hours of the day.”
“When the hell did you get such an attitude?”
“I don't have an attitude. But seriously what’s the problem”, his tone was more genuine this time. He wasn't gonna be a complete dick about it, even though it was hilarious to see Bakugou flustered because of his crush on Kirishima. He was actually quite touched that Katsuki felt like he could come to him for advice.
“The problem is I don't know what the fuck to say without embarrassing myself” Bakugou was getting frustrated now, not at Midoriya, at how moronic he was being following Kirishima’s confession. Why was this so fucking hard.
“Maybe stop worrying about embarrassing yourself, stop being a wimp.”
“I'm not,” Bakugou said through a frustrated exhale.
Izuku laughed sympathetically at Bakugou's annoyance.
“Kacchan you really like him don't you?”
“Yeah, of course I do”, Katsuki said, a slight tint of blush colouring his cheeks after finally admitting his feelings.
“Then tell him that” Izuku said matter of factly.
“I can't, that's…”
“Embarrassing?” Midoriya interrupted him. “Never thought I'd see you this flustered over someone Kacchan”. The smile on Midoriya’s face was genuine. He was genuinely happy that his friend was finally going to confess to the boy he'd been in love with basically since they met by his observation.
“Well, Eijirou, he's…”, he paused trying to find the right words to describe how amazing the boy he loved was. He thought for a while until he settled on it. “Perfect.”
Izuku’s eyes widened at this. He knew how in love his friend was but Bakugou Katsuki calling someone perfect, that was unexpected. Maybe he'd underestimate how head over heels his friend was for the red head.
“Kacchan, I promise you, if you say that to him he'll fall even more in love with you. Don't worry about embarrassing yourself, just say how you feel. I know you find it difficult to express emotions or whatever but seriously, it's as clear as day that you both are hopelessly in love with one another. Just say that”
“Ya I know” Bakugou grumbled, as much as he hated to admit it the nerd was right. He turned to exit the room, when he was at the door he paused shortly. “Thanks Deku” then he left.
Katsuki's heart was still beating out of his chest as he walked down the halls of the dorms towards Eijirou’s room. He still kinda felt like he was about to throw up from his nerves. But he needed to do this. He needed to stop being a wimp and just do it.
After a moment's hesitation he knocked on Kirishima’s door.
Kirishima opened the door with a curious expression, which switched to slight confusion when he saw katsuki.
“Oh, Kats, I didn't expect you to come so soon, if you need more time that's fine like there's no rush I promise”
“I don't need more time Eijirou,” Katuski said with his voice slightly wavering. “Can I come in?”
“Yeah!” Kirishima exclaimed enthusiastically. “I mean yeah, of course you can.”
He moved to one side and let Katuski through, closing the door behind him.
The both looked at each other for a few moments, awkwardly shifting on their feet, until eventually Katsuki broke the silence.
“I-”, he paused taking a breath to compose himself, he wasn't going to pussy out of this. “I feel the same way Eijirou. I always have. Not sure exactly when I started feeling like this, it was probably the cavalry battle, same as you. When you marched up to me with your stupid hair and proclaimed that you should be on my team.”
“My hair’s not much different than yours”, Kirishima interrupted, with a half amused lilt to his voice.
“Would you let me finish!” Bakugou continued with the same amused tone, the corners of his mouth tilting upwards. “When you smiled at me, I felt butterflys, I'd never felt that before. It was kinda confusing. I wasn't really sure what to make of it, or like exactly what I was feeling.” he paused for a second finally looking up from the spot he was staring at on the floor to look into the others eyes, his mouth was titled into a soft smile, he huffed a small laugh before continuing.
“Then I realised I was in love with the most perfect boy I could ever imagine, and the butterflys made sense. I realised that I'd met the person I didn't know I needed, the person who completed me. I met you Ei, and the butterflys haven't stopped since.”
Right when Katuski finished the last words Eijirou’s arms were flung around him, holding tightly. One hand held the back of Bakugou's head while the other clutched his shirt tightly. He pulled back only to plant his lips on Bakugou's, gently cradling his face in his hands.
Katsuki’s hands rested on Eijirou’s hips as he gently kissed the taller boy back.
Eventually Eijirou pulled from Bakugou smiling wide, cheeks pinched, showing the dimples on either side.
“That was the most adorable thing I've ever heard Tsuki”, he said with a smile and a small chuckle, placing a kiss on the blonde’s cheek.
Katuski groaned, the blush returning to his cheeks, as he leaned his head against the red head’s shoulder. “Shut up I just told you the truth”
“That's what makes it adorable Tsuki”, Kirishima said with a smile, planting a kiss on the top of Katsuki’s head.
“Where’d that new nickname come from” Katsuki asks, head still burrowed in the crook of Eijirou’s neck.
“I wanted to wait until you were my boyfriend to call you it. Why, d’you like it?”, Eijirou said half teasing, half sincere.
“I do”, Katuski answered with all sincerity.
“Note taken”, Eijirou said against Bakugou's hair.
“You really think I'm perfect?” Kisishima asked after a few minutes of silence.
“Yeah of course I do,” said Katsuki, leaning back from the red head. “Why wouldn't I?”
“I have a fair few faults Tsuki”
“All your faults are perfect too.” Katsuki answered with no hesitation.
Then he was being tightly held by Eijirou’s arms once again, the taller boy pressing kissed to the top of his head.
