Chapter 1- POV: Nathalie
Ugh! I barely missed Ladybug's hit. I felt the familiar tickle in my throat. No, no, no! Not now! I quickly looked at my boss desperately. Hawkmoth nodded, looking concerned. I jumped into the roof tops and started running. The coughing started but it wasn't bad...yet. 'I need a place to detransform before it gets bad. I'm not going to make it back to the mansion.' I knew Ladybug was right behind me but in the moment, I didn't care. I jumped into an allyway. "Duussu, fall my feathers." As soon as I finished the sentence I fell to my knees coughing. Every second it got worse. 'I wish Gabriel was here…' Then I felt liquid come out of my mouth and onto my hands and shirt. I looked in horror at the blood on me. I started to panic and shake. Then I felt a calm hand on my shoulder. I heard someone kneel next to me. I looked over at the heroine. "Miss Nathalie…? You were Mayura the whole time…?" She asked rubbing my back. I nodded trying not to cry. 'Stop it Nathalie. Your stronger than this.' "Marinette..I…" I tried to say before I had a coughing fit again. "Shhhh…" She hugged me and I hugged back. I felt terrible for lying… she was so kind and caring. She didn't deserve any of this. I found out hers and Cat Noir's identitys on accident. *Start of flashback* I was standing outside of Adrian's room double checking something. "Ready to go?" I heard Adrian's muffled voice say. Wait what? He's not supposed to leave. I walked in right as they transformed into my bosses enemies. "N-nathalie..? Please don't tell my father…" I stared at him in surprised. "I won't Adrian.." How long would I be able to keep this from my boss…? *End of flashback* "Can I take you back to the mansion? I doubt that you can walk there." Marinette said looking a bit worried. "Why do you want to help me? I hurt you and Adrian…" She smiled a bit "But you also kept our secret from Hawkmoth. Which must've been hard...thank you." I nodded. "Could you tell me Hawkmoth's identity? Please?" She asked. I looked down. "I'm sorry...I can't." "I understand. Tikki, spots on!"
