He loves Historia.
Reiner was so certain of that. He would never do anything to contradict this. He knows his feelings will never change towards her. He knows all his love is reserved for her. But lately, Historia has been acting different and he knew that soon enough he would have to share all his love for her with someone else.
The silence was maddening. He nearly jumped when he was called to finally go in.
As walked towards the room, he braced himself.
Historia's smile was the first thing he sees. She looked exhausted but she glowed with happiness. "Hi," she whispered.
Reiner sat down beside her. "Hi," he whispered back. In her arms, she held their newborn baby. Slowly, she handed it to him.
As he looked at the sleeping bundle in his arms, he realized he had so much love to give. Historia, in her exhausted state, closed her eyes. And Reiner just whispered, "Now there are two people that I can love with all my heart and with all my soul."
