Chapter Text
Red stomped his foot impatiently. His lengthy finger tapping against his chin and his other tapping on his chair.
"Let me get this correct... there's nothing?"
Red snarled, his eyes glowing through the shadows, down at the shaking citizen. The smaller figure shook their head, frozen in spot. Fingers rattling like rattle snakes.
"Uuh y-yes sir Red. There is none left, our last bird just recently passed away..."
They spoke already awaiting his demise.
"Aaaw that's a shame..."
Red mocked, tilting his head a bit. Still tapping his fingers against his thrown.
"Well those little... pests can fly you know".
Red spoke again, turning back towards them.
"Yes but our cages are always secure"-
"So i think you should maybe go on a little exploration and go FIND THEM!"
Red leaned out of his seat, projecting all of his voice at this poor person. They immediately agreed and scurried away not questioning Red for another second. Red relaxed back in his throne, looking up outside a window where the sun shined through, standing up and looking outside. Down at the misery he caused. The land he now ruled. Red sighed to himself as something else caught his attention.
"It seems it's getting close, ya know."
He stood into Reds view. His black streaks running through his hair. The little yellow strands left tied back in a small ponytail.
"You should already know that, don't you... Chuck?"
Chuck smirked, seeing as Reds gaze met his as Red moved back down to his thrown. His eyes slanted and skew, curving up to Reds assumption of him.
"Heh, i might..."
Chuck chuckled as he trotted gleefully over towards Reds thrown. Placing both his hands down on the arm rests and leaning closer to Red.
"But there's something I'm more curious about.."
He leaned closer, he's eyes growing more intrigued and playful as Red stayed silent.
"What exactly are you going to do when they start to fight back?"
Chuck snickered as Red replaced his calm manner, pushing Chuck back as he stood up off his thrown.
"That won't happen."
Chuck smiled back at him, like he knew something Red didn't.
"How are you so sure 'bout that?"
Chuck trotted back towards the exit.
"Cause it won't happen."
Red tightened his fists staring down at Chuck as he stopped before turning back around, now with his smile completely erased.
"Act all confident you wont- avoiding the problem won't fix it."
Chuck turned back around, disappearing out of the room without saying another word. Leaving Red alone to think about Chucks words. Making him scoff silently as looked back outside his window towards the damaged land.
Located down at the beach was a small, simple home. Red looked out of his sheltered window, watching over the calm seas. The water didn't seem too vicious today, giving Red a good sign, grabbing his satchel bag and placing in weapons that he has always kept close to him. As he packed for his travel a knock came from the door. Red looked up in annoyance, despising people who even had the guts to come near his own property. Red pulled back out a small, yet sharp, dagger from his bag and inched towards the door. He opened the door keeping the knife behind his waist to see Bomb.
Brooding and towering over his door frame. His blocky stature able to scare basically anyone who comes near him. But he never scared Red cause Red knew he was all bark, no bite.
"What are you doing here?"
Red mumbled, resting his arm and throwing his knife behind him, piercing his sofa cushion.
"I assumed you'd already know why".
Bomb walked in, forced to crawl inside, his hands remaining in his pockets.
"Yeah i know 'bout there being no birds already".
Red rolled his eyes as he walked to his sofa removing his knife from his torn couch pillow and going back to packing. Whilst Bomb just looked around, silently observing.
"And are you surrendering?"-
"I ain't fucking surrendering!"
Red cut off, forcibly pulling the ropes to his bag shut and standing up to face the still calm Bomb.
"I'm going to find Piggy Island".
Red blurted out, as he watched for any reaction. They both knew about the fairy-tale but no one ever believe for it to be true.
"Piggy island? You mean that fairy-tale"-
"No- i meant the real one down the road- of course i meant the fucking fairy-tale."
Red answered sarcastically, then suddenly standing up towards Bomb as he held tightly onto his bag. Yet Bomb continued to stay standing.
"And you're plan exactly?"
Bomb raised a brow- his arms still crossed.
"That's for me to know and only me."
Red tossed his bag over his shoulder as Bomb looked down at him with hesitance.
"You know you won't be able to avoid it for much longer... if you don't tell me, i can't help you."
Bomb sighed as Red faced away from him.
"I don't care... i don't need you're help anyways. I'm not some fucking child!"
Red gritted his teeth as he glared right at Bomb.
"Now do your job and get me the top 3 best soldiers by sundown- or else!"
Bomb just sighed hopelessly, facing towards the doorway.
"Don't get mad when it all blows up in your face."
Bomb walked out of Reds home, leaving the door open wide, behind him as Red could feel his anger blow up. Storming over and gripping strongly onto the door.
"Stop being fucking annoying and i won't!"
He shouted back, slamming the door hard behind him, sighing hard as his frustration raged through his body. Grabbing out a knife and tearing through his cushions, projecting all his rage until his was almost out of breath. He turned over, calming himself down before walking over towards his table where a familiar skull rested upon. Grabbing onto the base of the skull and looking down at it with resentment.
"You will never be right, i will make sure I'm always in power..."
Red gripped harder onto the skull, close to crushing it when he finally chucked it back onto his table, grabbing his knife, tossing it into his bag and leaving his home.
Red waited impatiently by the beach, glaring at the sun as it slowly descended below the sea line. Close to just leaving before he could hear a familiar set of footprints. Looking behind him to see Bomb along with a couple other people behind him in armoured uniform.
"Finally."
Red stood up, watching ad Bomb walked closer to him.
"Don't fuck this up... at least come back alive so i don't have to deal with your problems."
Bomb pointed his index finger against Reds chest, looking down to see his nonchalant expression.
"I'll be the decider of that."
Red pushed Bomb off as he moved towards the boat, sitting nearby. Everyone hopping on, while Bomb stayed on the beach, his arms crossed once more.
"I'm sure you can handle running the island while I'm gone, can't ya?"
Bomb stayed silent, letting Red take that as a yes as he signalled and allowed the others to start the boat and let it roared through the water.
Pushing Red and the three masked men further and further away from land. Red stood by the rail watching his island slowly grow smaller. Red rustled his hair as he retreated inside under the sailors spot. Undercover was a door which Red pulled the knob showing his room where he'd be for a couple of days. He rested his head on the plain pillow, hearing the waves crash beside him. Red drifted off to sleep feeling a sense of safety being in the middle of the ocean.
