Summary
CW for four people being their worst selves. Gideon and Harrow are roommates in a shitty yet expensive apartment. Ianthe and Corona live together too, in a lavish pre-war 3-bedroom that has been rent-controlled in their family for generations. Ianthe and Harrow are in the same grad sciences program, and Gideon is front-desk staff at the boutique gym Corona frequents. YES Gideon moved to New York so that Harrow could get her bioengineering PhD there and YES they had zero further discussion of what Harrow owes her or what plans Harrow will include her in after graduation 🥰
This story is about their lightning-bolt present and long slow future. Please be clear there are major Gideon/Harrow feelings, but they do not get intimate except in a way that fully exists to work out the author's fucked-up obsessive queerplatonic (?) early 20s.
