Chapter Text
“That was bloody brilliant.”, Sirius shut down the laptop which was placed on his and Remus’ lap. They had just finished the last episode of Shadow and Bone and it was indeed bloody brilliant. “Can’t wait for Mal and Alina to get together.”, Sirius sighed and rested his cheek on Remus’ shoulder. “Eurgh not Mal.”, he groaned, “Aleksander.”, he dreamily kissed the top of Sirius’ mop of hair.
“Noooo! Not the Darkling!”, Sirius exclaimed, “Mal and Alina are soulmates, they belong together.” He saw Remus laugh silently, “Sure they are, darling.”, he said sarcastically. “The Darkling reminds me of you.”, he told Sirius. “Of a 400-year-old groomer?”, he asked cockily. “You look like him.”, Remus observed. He ran his hand through Sirius' dark waves and kissed his forehead, enjoying the way Sirius blushed like a lovesick teenager.
“The hair a bit.”, Remus whispered in Sirius’ ear, making his heart beat faster than ever. It truly was incredible how he still blushed at the slightest touch from Remus even after three years of them being married. “These obviously.”, he breathed sharply as Remus fingered his cheekbones. His lip remained firmly bitten between his teeth as Remus tipped his chin up and pulled in for an enchanting kiss. Words couldn’t describe how much Sirius Black loved Remus Lupin.
“I always thought I was like Jesper.”, he laughed into the kiss. “Mhmm. I can be your Wylan.”, Remus kissed him strongly. God, Remus Lupin truly was one of a kind. “Whose Wylan?”, he asked. “You’ll see.” he smiled sweetly. Sirius kissed him more. Even an eternity of kissing couldn’t sum up Sirius’ love for his Moony.
He lay his head comfortably on Remus’ chest as he stroked Sirius’ hands gently. “Can I tell you something?”, Sirius noticed the uneasiness in Remus’ voice. “Of course, Moony.”, he hugged him and kissed the underside of his chin. “Well, you see”, Remus began, “my period was due a week ago. It hasn’t come.”, he said almost guiltily. Sirius couldn’t understand what the problem was. “Well, we can go to the doctor if you like.”, he shrugged, “Or we could talk to Lils.”
“Sirius.”, Remus persisted, “I’m pregnant.”
A million things went off in Sirius’ head. Fathers. Child. School. Babies. Pregnant. Remus. Hospital. He was so caught up in recovering from this information that he almost failed to notice a teardrop trickle down Remus’ heavenly green eyes. “Hey! Hey!.”, he wiped it with his thumb, “Why are you crying, my love?”
“Nothing.”, Remus sniffed, “No reason.”
“Are we going to be fathers?”, Sirius smiled lovingly at him. “Do you want to be?”, Remus rubbed Sirius’ cheek. “Is that even a question?”, he rolled his eyes. Remus laughed one of those soft gentle laughs that made Sirius want to get banged against a wall by Remus and be kissed wildly. They were going to be fathers.

It had been three weeks since that day. Sirius always behaved extra gently around Remus now. He helped him when he threw up in the mornings and when he felt moody or nervous or dysphoric. Sirius would be with Remus through it all. They had decided to tell Prongs and Lils because the Potters were their family and they could never keep this secret from them.
Sirius was now sitting with Lily in the living room of the Potters. “..and that’s why everyone should read the books instead of just relying on the Netflix series.”, she ended her monologue. “Too lazy to read a book.”, Sirius shrugged. James and Remus were in the kitchen. James was preparing dinner while Remus made his famous apple pie. They had decided to tell James and Lily today and there was still some nervousness that lingered within him. How would James and Lily react?
Would they be happy? Or skeptical? Would they judge them? Would they think that twenty-six and twenty-five was too early to have a child? James and Lily’s opinion meant the world to them. His doubts were answered once James ran into the living room shouting, Remus hoisted up in his arms.
“LILY WE’RE HAVING A BABYYYYY.”, he shouted crazily, still not letting Remus down.
“We’re having a what?”, Lily laughed, looking at James weirdly. “SIRIUS AND REMUS!”, he shouted, “SIRIUS AND MOONY. BABY. REMUS IS PREGNANT!”, he exclaimed. He twirled Remus around in circles and finally let a flustered Moony down.
“Why didn’t you tell me, you bloody bastards!”, Lily laughed and hugged Sirius tightly. James got down on his knees and tugged Remus’ shirt up and kissed his stomach a thousand times. “A baby.”, he smiled, “A lovely little baby.”
“Prongs, I love you, mate but I don’t approve of you stripping my husband off and slobbering his tummy with your mouth.”
“Shut up! It’s my baby.”
“Actually, I’m the father-”
“Shut up, I’m it’s lovely uncle Prongsie.”, he hugged Remus again, “I can be the godfather, right?”, he looked at Sirius and Remus expectantly, “Please, please, please. If I don’t get to be its godfather I will jump off a bridge and kill myself.”
“Of course, you and Lily will be the godparents, mate.”, Remus assured him. James hugged Sirius lovingly, “You’re going to be a father.”, he said. Sirius could see the tears glistening in James’ eyes. He hugged his brother fondly and smiled, “I’m going to be a father.” Behind them, Lily was embracing Remus.
“This calls for a celebration!”, Lily exclaimed and bought out the champagne and wine bottles from a cabinet. They sat at the dinner table with James’ wonderful cooking and Remus’ delicious pie and the drinks. “Oh I’m gonna miss my drinks.”, Remus sipped his wine gingerly. Sirius kissed him on the cheek. He didn’t need a reason to kiss Remus.
“You cannot drink.”, James warned him sternly. Lily nodded, “Both of your cigarettes and drinks will be confiscated by us.” Sirius groaned at that. Remus returned his kiss puckishly.
