Altair | a Sengen Story

Summary:

Senku and Gen met one night in a bar. After a kiss under the glowing sign of a Chinses restaurant, it looks as if things could work out. Until the next morning at least.
Gen Asagiri is struggling to find hope in himself and others, looking for reasons to believe he can be a good person.

...

“You really think I can be good?” Gen asked.

Senku nodded. “When you kissed me outside the Chinese restaurant – that was the good Gen.”

Notes:

Hi hello welcome! Funny story, this was actually supposed to be a one shot smut but after my girlfriend read the draft. we decided to extend it to something longer with multiple chapters. So this is set in the modern world, where we see Gen as if the petrification hadn't happened.
I hope you enjoy! and thanks again to my girlfriend for helping me with this and so much more of the story for later on<3

Chapter 1: Chinese Restaurant

Chapter Text

“I don’t know who he’s talking about. Should I?” Senku Ishigami asked as he followed his co-worker out of the back into the main bar area.

Chrome, tying the navy apron around his waist answered him. “His name is Gen Asagiri. He’s one of the richest guys in this city. He could destroy our reputation and profits with one bad comment.”

Senku nodded flatly as he followed Chrome so that they stood behind the bar counter.
Ryusui Nanami had been given this bar by his parents so that he could prove to be a good businessman. If this went well, he could inherit the Nanami Fortune. Not only that, but Senku needed the money he got paid as a specialized bar tender here. He needed all the money he could get while he was completing his chemistry course at university. His high marks in chemistry were one of the reasons he got hired here. He too was surprised he was able to get a job at a place like this. With its red wallpaper and matching velvet couches, crystal lights and glasses, small live music stage and sensual dim lighting, Senku never knew he could make it in a place like this.

Wiping down the counter and straightening out his name badge just before the doors opened, Senku prepared himself for the busy night. Chrome was also covering the bar shift with him. Ukyo Saionji was the live artist, playing slow electric guitar under a small spotlight
Homura and Nikki were doing waitressing. Hyoga and Tsukasa served as the two bouncers and Ryusui Nanami was the lively manager that ran a tight ship.

The doors opened and some usual waiting customers made their way in. Senku was asked for drinks he already knew how to make without thinking. Nothing was two complicated after practice. He had memorized which tap had which beer, which shelf held what glass and could pour mixes without measuring exactly.

Senku was pouring whiskey for an older gentleman when suddenly it felt like every staff member held their breath. He watched Ryusui escort someone from the door to a velvet couch seat. Senku took a few moments to study the man who seemed to be Gen Asagiri.

He’d expected a greying man with a cigar and wearing sunglasses inside, but it was a young guy with black and white dyed hair, a purple corset vest and a sly smile. He had silver snakebite piercings in his lips and multiple ear piercings. His nails were painted with black nail polish, and he could see that he was wearing eyeliner.

“Enjoying the eye candy?” Nikki, coming to fetch an ordered drink said, snapping Senku out of his minor daze.

Senku gave her his classic chuckle. “Nope.”

She picked up the whiskey glass. “You were practically drooling.”

Senku instantly touched his mouth which made Nikki, laugh saying that she meant it as a joke. She walked off to serve the drink while Senku continued with his own job. Every time he got the chance, he’d let his eyes drift a little to the side to get another look at tis Gen guy.

He was still chatting with Ryusui, who seemed to want to be on his good side.

Order a drink, order a damn drink, Senku couldn’t help but repeat in his mind when Ryusui had walked away. But Gen just sat back comfortably and looked around at everyone else. His eyes trailed over the other customers, to Ukyo playing music and then over to the bar.

A tingle shot through Senku’s chest when those grey eyes looked at him. Without even a second of hesitation, Gen Asagiri got up from his seat and sauntered over to the bar.

Senku flicked his cloth over his shoulder, hands on his hips and smirked at Gen. “What can I get you?” truthfully, he was faking his confidence.

“Kopparberg – strawberry and lime.” He said cheerfully.

Huh? Senku thought. But he just smirked. “Alright.”
He walked to the back where all the cidars were kept and started peering around. He eventually found the drink – it was s sweet smelling cider he’d never heard of. He walked back out into the bar and was quite surprised by what he saw.

Gen was now sitting at the far end of the bar, shuffling cards in his strong hands. When Senku walked up to him, Gen explained.
“Dear little Chrome will be covering for you. Right now, you’re mine.”

Senku was mesmerized by a second by how perfectly he shuffled the cards. He placed the bottle of cider down. Gen clicked his fingers twice. “Two cubs of ice and blue crystal glass.”

Senku knew he wasn’t allowed to be rude to customers, but he just had to. “Say please.”

Gen tilted his head at him. “Please can you do what oi say.”

Senku raised an eyebrow then poured the cider into a blue crystal glass while Gen watched. He wanted to be rude and pick the ice up with his fingers, but he made the choice to refrain. He slid the glass over to his customer who took a small sip.

Gen stacked his cards into a neat pile then tilted his head at Senku again. “Care for a game?”

“Of?” Senku asked, leaning on the counter.

“Cheat.” Gen said.

Senku leaned in close so that he could whisper to Gen while raising an eyebrow. “What do I get if I win?”

Gen whispered back. “I’ll buy you dinner.”

Senku stood up straight once and gave himself seven cards. “I do love free food.”

He dealt himself seven cards and did the same for Gen. They kept their cards hidden from each other.

Gen put the first card down and asked a question. “Two. How long have you been work here?”

“Three.” Senku put down his card. “A year.”

Gen nodded. “That puts you at nineteen. What are you studying, something with lots of handy work I figure? Two.”

“Chemistry. How did you know I did something with my hands? Three.”

“Trust me, no one gets hands like this from working as a bar tender for a year.” Gen gently traced the pad of his forefinger over the top of Senku’s free hand, running over the tendons and veins. “Three.”

Senku didn’t lose his composure easily. But right now, he had to force himself from not letting his eyes roll back. It was his turn to ask questions. “You buy your outfit with daddy’s money? Four.”

“Gen bought all of this with Gen’s money. Five.” Gen said.

“How did you get all this money? Four.”

Gen tapped the side of his head. “Looking into the minds of others without even having to open their skulls. Five.”

Senku leaned his elbows on the countertop, so he was centimeters away from Gen’s face. “You could have picked anyone to play this game with, so why’d you choose me?” he smirked and tilted his head at Gen. “Six.”

Gen smirked back, his lip piercings moving with his lips. “You’re just my type. Six.”

Senku looked at the shiny pieces of metal through Gen’s lips. “Oh yeah? Six.”

“I see that little blush you get from getting orders right and when your superiors telling you how good you’re doing. You like praise.” Gen paused for a second. “Seven.”

Senku looked down at the stack of cards to hide his blush. “Silver tongued charmer.” He said after he flipped the card Gen had just put down. It wasn’t a seven, it was a king of hearts.

Gen looked at the card in Senku’s strong hand. He gently put his other cards face up, traced his finger over the rim of his glass then leaned in. “You win, pretty boy.”

He got a chuckle in response. “I’ve been thinking of my free dinner the whole game.”

-

“I’m stinking rich, you could have picked the most expensive restaurant in the city, but you chose this?” Gen said, looking up at the little red glowing sign.

Senku shrugged. “I was craving it.” He walked into the small Chinese restaurant. “I’m sorry if the air is too poor for you, oh lord Gen.”

“That’s not the point.” Gen grumbled, following after the guy in the long white coat that looked similar to a lab coat.
This wasn’t the first time Gen had pulled the free dinner trick to get a guy in his bed for the night. Most of the time, the guys he managed to warp around his finger dragged him off to the most upscale restaurant they could think of. But this Senku guy really seemed in the mood for Chinese food.

Senku looked at one of the menus on the wall. “I’m going for beef chow main. What are you keen for?”

Gen scurried up to him, feeling out of place in his designer blazer jacket over his corset vest. He scanned the menu quickly. “Hot and sour soup.”

“Alright.” Senku sauntered up to the counter, ordered the food then started pulling out his wallet.

“Hey, hey,” Gen protested, putting a hand om his arm. “I said I was paying.”

“I don’t care about the money.” Senku handed the card to the cashier then smiled at Gen. “I just like good company to eat good food with.”

A few minutes later, they were given their food in a takeaway package which Senku carried lazily over his shoulder, the white packet crinkling as he sauntered to the door.

Just as they stepped outside, Gen put a hand on Senku’ shoulder. Senku spun around and was met with a kiss on the lips from Gen. He was shocked at first, eyes still open. Gen pulled away after a quick Senku.

“Just my way of Saying thank you.” He said.

Senku blinked a couple times, then he went in again, kissing Gen hard with open lips. As he kissed Gen under the light of a flickering Chinese restaurant sign, Senku figured Gen was saying thank you for more than just the food.

Gen’s house was only two blocks away, so they decided to make the walk there, bickering as they did.

“I feel like I’m too poor for his place.” Senku muttered as they walked into the lavish lobby of Gen’s building.

Gen walked towards the resident’s elevator. “Don’t be so dramatic, they know you’re with me.”

Senku stepped into the bright elevator with him. “Alright.”

They silently rode the elevator up, while Senku stared at himself at the elevator ceiling mirrors. When he was younger he gelled his hair up, now he left it down in a loose knot with some strands in front of his eyes. He had piercings, but not as many as Gen - just his ears and a septum. He was still in his work clothes, white shirt, loose red tie, black waist coat and salsas. He was wearing his white coat when stepping out of the warm bar after he won the card game against Gen.

The doors dinger opened right inro the top floor penthouse. Gen expected Senku to marvel about the place, but the chemistry student walked straight to the couch and unpacked his food on the coffee table.
Most guys liked to look around the place a bit; gazing at the open kitchen and living room, looking at the neat decorations and fashionable objects, eventually making their way up the stars to Gen’s loft bedroom that looked out the floor to ceiling windows. But Senku seemed really hungry.

“Your little game deprived me of my snack break,” Senku said, mouth full of noodles.

Gen collapsed on the couch next op him. “Oh poor boy, I’m so sorry.”

Senku watched Gen open his soup and gently stir it. He wasn’t at all focused on the food, more studying Gen’s hands. He watched as Gen licked the tip of his ring covered finger after he got some sou on his finger. God, I really want those-

But his thought was interrupted by him dropping some beef on the couch. “Oh shit.”

Gen leaned over Senku’s thighs, reached out and grabbed the dropped beef. “I paid a lot for his couch.” He said quickly.

And he got the exact reaction he wanted from Senku: concerning doe eyes and a nervous blush. Gen placed a hand under Senku’s chin and another on his thighs. “Don’t worry, you haven’t disappointed me, pretty boy.”

His hand traveled higher up Senku’s thigh to the zipper of his slacks. But Senku stopped him with a breathy request. “Kiss me first.” But Gen said nothing. “Please.” Senku added.

And they kissed hard. Senku’s hands grabbed Gen’s hips, while Gen’s one hand tugged at Senku already loose tie. “On me, get on me.” Senku whined against Gen’s pierced lips. Gen happily climbed on Senku’s lap, holding his face and kissing hard.

Senku held onto Gen’s hips, his strong fingers pressing into skin. He hooked his fingers in Gen’s pockets and used that to pull Gen’s body against his. He just couldn’t get him close enough. Right from the second he’d seen Gen, he’d wanted his body against his, to touch the curves. Sure, it was purely a sexual attraction but Senku was wondering if it could be something more.

“This couch isn’t comfortable.” Gen said.

They both giggled and stood up eagerly, Gen holding Senku’s wrist to lead him to his loft room. But they got distracted on their way there, the back of Senku’s thighs ending up pressing against the edge of the glass dining room table. Still kissing, Gen yanked off Senku’s coat and tie, leaving them on the table. Senku tried his best to unlace the back of Gen’s corset vest, but he couldn’t quite get it.

Gen shoved his hands away, reached behind his neck and started undoing the knot himself. By lifting his arms up, Senku could see some pale skin of Gen’s stomach. When the corset vest was off, Gen ran his hands down his torso covered in a white button up. “Liking the view, pretty boy?”

Minutes later, Senku was pushed onto Gen’s springy double bed while Gen climbed onto the edge of the bed. He pulled off Senku’s shoes, then yanked down his pants by the ankles. Gen leaned over him, sly smirk on his face. “You’re not packing too bad down there.”

A hot flush ran up Senku’s face. He would have closed his legs from nervousness, But Gen kept them open as he sat between then, unbuttoning Senku’s waist coat, throwing it to one side.

“You’d look good with tattoos,” Gen commented as he started kissing Senku’s collar bones.

Senku’s leg was already twitching just from Gen sitting on his crotch innocently while his torso was kissed. “G-Gen.”

Gen started unzipping his own slacks while he watched Senku fluster under him.

Senku, with breathy whiney voice told Gen. “I d-don’t have a lot if stamina.”

Gen ran his fingers under the waistband of Senku’s grey boxer briefs. “Don’t worry, I can do the work.” Gen leaned down as he said huskily into Senku’s ear. As he nipped at Senku’s ear, he reached his one arm out to his bedside table, shuffled around until he found what he was looking for. He got up, dropped the silver wrapped condom and bottle of lube on his chest. “Help out a little, pretty boy.”

Eyes drooping with lust, Senku watched Gen get undressed as his finger fiddled with the condom packet. Gen, now pnatless and only in his white shirt encouraged Senku to continue. Senku did so by rolling the condom on, his legs twitching as he covered the rubber in some lube.

Gen chuckled as he climbed onto the bed, only in his open white button up. “Don’t have too much fun without me.” He sat back on Senku, now giving the chemistry student exactly what he wanted.

Senku arched his neck slightly, eyes closing a bit. “F-fuck.”

“Use your words.” Gen said, hands on Senku’s stomach for leverage.

Senku gulped, wanting Gen to move his hips so he could feel more of Gen. “You f-feel really good.”

“That’s what I wanna hear,” Gen cooed, now finally moving his hips back and forth agonizingly slow on Senku’s dick.

Senku had had sex sure, but not that much. It was always relatively simple and short. It would be a random guy at campus when study sessions carried on until the night ended. But Senku could already tell this was going to be far better. He never thought this night of his usual bar work would lead to a ridiculously gorgeous guy riding him in a bed he could never afford.

Gen on the other hand, knew something like this would happen. He pretty much knew he’d end up getting on top of a pretty boy, hands on his torso for leverage as he moved back and forth and up and down a bit. This had been his whole goal of going to the bar – getting sex. But this Senku guy was different, Sure, he still seemed to like praise, but he wasn’t completely submissive. He could tell Senku was confident and relatively assertive in the rest of his open life, but quite often people liked the opposite of their normal lives when it came to the bedroom.

Gen could tell that Senku was unwinding fast when Gen sped up his movements. His strong hands were clawing at the sheets and his neck and face were flushed with pink.

“Talk to be, pretty boy.”

The simple name calling sent a shot of euphoria through Senku’s already pleasured body, making him look up at Gen with pleading eyes. He latched his hands on Gen’s thighs, nails digging deep. “G-go down.”

“Oh like this?” Gen grinded down on Senku’s cock, watching his face the whole time.

This made Senku let out a whiney keen, his fingers leaving bruises in Gen’s thighs. “Y-yes.”

Gen was struggling to keep his composure as well, forcing back the heavy breathing from feeling Senku inside of him. “Please what?”

Senku’s eyes shine with eagerness and lust. “Please fuck me like that again, G-Gen.”

Gen nearly whined out himself when Senku said this. He felt Senku’s legs bend so that Gen had something to lean his back against while he grinded down on Senku.

“You’re doing such a good job.” Gen praised, barely able to stop his own moans.
Senku on the other hand made no effort to keep quiet – moaning constantly and cursing under his breath.

Gen was moving faster, grinding down harder on Senku’s crotch. Senku could really only think of one thing, and that was the guy he was getting nailed by.

“Gen, G-Gen, I’m so c-close.” He said over and over again, voice raspy.

Pushing some sweaty hair out from his eyes, Gen tilted a head down at Senku. “Why should I let you do that?”

Senku was bewildered for a moment, trying to ponder up an answer. Normally he wouldn’t be this . . . honest with his desires but he figured it’d feel great for them both.
“Because I’ve been a good boy.” He answered.

And for Gen, that was the clicking switch. He leaned down, grabbed Senku’s chin and spoke against his lips. “Now cum for me, good boy.”

The thread behind Senku’s eyes snapped and he was moaning hard into Gen’s mouth as he gave him a sloppy kiss as his body shook from the height of pleasure. His hands clawed at Gen’s back while Gen came soon after, mouth kissing each other with all fronts torn down, just enjoying the sexual bliss and the feeling of each other.

When they came down from their highs, Gen flopped down next to Senku, both of them still catching hie breathes.

-

Senku woke up in the same lavender sheets he’d fallen asleep in. He rubbed his eyes.

“Greetings pretty boy.” A sly voice said from next to him.

Senku turned his head and looked at Gen with his sleepy eyes and piercings. He blushed when he remembered what happened last night. “Hey.”

Senku got up, body aching, put on his white shirt so it covered his crotch and torso and walked down the stairs.

“You hungry already?” Gen called down.

“Nah” Senku said opening Gen’s fridge. “Juts thirsty.”
He got himself sone water and ice in a glass then made his way back up to the loft where Gen was looking at himself in a small hand mirror.

“You think you’re hot stuff?” Senku joked, sitting up against the headboard.

Gen put on the voice he used last night when he first met Senku. “I think I’d look even better with a hickey.”

Senku chuckled. “You’re not subtle huh?”

Gen touched his neck. “Is that you saying no?”

Senku blushed a little. “No no, I want to. I just didn’t want to do it without your permission.”

He put down the hand mirror and tilted his head at Senku. “You’re really sweet, Senku.”

“Yeah, yeah.” Senku held Gen’s face and gave him a kiss, twisting one of his fingers into his hair. Gen happily kissed him back, placing a hand on Senku’s chest to feel his cold, soft skin. This kiss was just as good as the kisses last night. Senku moved his lips down over Gen’s jaw then over to the side of his neck. This made Gen speed up his breathing a bit. Senku was gentle at first, his one hand reaching over to the bedside table, he grabbed an ice cube from his lass with his nimble finger then pressed the ice against the skin he was kissing on Gen’s neck.

The contrast from warm lips to icy made Gen hiss. He knew again that Senku was a good pick. Senku kept changing form lips to ice and biting hard every now and then. Gen had to stop his own hand moving down his body from the utter bliss he was feeling. Senku’s free hand crept up Gen’s neck and his fingers pressed gently under Gen’s neck.

This made it slightly harder for Gen to breath, it was the perfect kind of choking – a high sent to his brain perfectly with the lips and ice against his sensitive neck.

Then there was a buzzing sound. It was Senku’s phone.
His phone didn’t often ring. It was either Taiju, his roommate, Ryusui calling him in for an emergency shift or his dada. Senku hesitantly pulled away from Gen, found his phone in his slacks pockets and answered. It was his dada.

“Senku, are you okay?” Byakuya Ishigami said.

Senku was confused. “Yeah, what’s up?”

“You said you were going to come early for your stepmother’s birthday to help prepare drinks. You aren’t here yet?” there was only worry in his voice.

Senku nearby dropped the phone. His mouth hung open. He checked the time. It was nearly eleven am. “Oh yeah, Taiju just flooded the apartment, so I stayed at a friend. Really crazy and I got to bed really late last night.”

“Oh dear, is everyone alright?” his father asked.

“Yeah, yeah, it was just a mess I couldn’t sleep right away.”

“Well get here when you’re ready and invite that friend you stayed with, we’d love to meet your friends.” Byakuya said happily.

Senku was about to make up an excuse, but Gen yelled from the bed. “I’ll gladly come along!”
When he’d put down the phone, he glared at Gen and grabbed a pillow.
“Why did you say that?!” he yelled, whacking Gen on the top of his head with the pillow.

“You ashamed of me or something?” Gen asked, snatching the pillow from him.

Senku gave up hitting him and started getting dressed. “I just don’t want my family to know that I’m late because I was having sex.”

Gen got out of bed too, walking to his wardrobe. “Your family homophobic or something?”

“Nope.” Senku replied, putting on his slacks.

Gen pulled on a purple long sleeve shirt. “Are you not out to them?”

Senku button up his white shirt. “That’s not it either.”

Gen pulled on black skinny jeans. “Then what is it?”

Senku was looking around lost, not wanting to wear his waistcoat so Gen threw him a vintage denim jacket to wear over his white shirt. “It’s just. . . I don’t want them to think I’m slacking off from university.”

Gen pulled on ankle boots. “When’s the last time you had sex?”

“Four months ago.”

“What did you get on your next assignment after that?”

“Ninety three percent.”

Gen rolled his eyes and started down the stairs. “You’ll do fucking fine.”

Senku followed him, deciding to say nothing.

“Besides,” Gen started, looking for something on the dining room table. “You’ll need a car and someone to drive you.”

They made their way out the door and into the elevator they rode up last night.

“If anyone asks, you’re just a friend.” Senku said.

“A fried you had sex with last night?” Gen added.

“Please, god-”

“You’re acting like you didn’t enjoy it.”

“I did enjoy it, it’s just I’m not ready-”

“You’re nineteen and not ready o tell your parents you’re having sex?”

“We’re just different okay.”

Gen didn’t have a moment to argue as the doors open ans Senku was already storming out. Gen led him to the private parking lot.
Gen clicked his keys and the lights of a black Toyota Supra lit up. “She’s pretty, isn’t she?” Gen said as they got in.

“Take the fastest route.” Senku muttered as he put on his seatbelt while Gen pulled out. When they turned out of the parking lot, Senku sighed and instinctively put his hand down on Gen’s thigh. Gen glanced down on the strong hand on him for a second then went back to looking at the road. He honestly didn’t think the one nightstand would lead him going to family lunch with a random guy from a bar. He hadn’t been too a family related event in over ten years, so he truly had no idea how to act there.

They drove out of the city until they got to the residential areas where Senku gave him directions. There were already two cars parked outside his father’s house.
Byakuya opened the front door when he saw the black sports car doors open. “Hiya Senku. You must be the friend he mentioned.”

“I’m Gen.” He greeted.

“Hey old man,” Senku cheerfully greeted. “I apologize for being late.”

“Don’t worry kid, so long as you’re here.” He led them both inside where some of Senku’s family was gathering in the kitchen. He sauntered up to his stepmom, Lillian, and gave her a birthday hug.

A couple years ago, his dad had married Lillian and he got two steps sister – Kohaku and Ruri who said hello to him as well.

“Everyone this is my friend, Gen.” Senku announced.

Gen winked at them all. “Gen Asagiri, you probably know me.”

All the older adults spoke amongst themselves as they walked put on the porch while Gem, Senku, Ruri and Kohaku stayed behind.

Like he’d been asked, Senku started preparing drinks at the kitchen counter with Ruri helping him. He easily popped open the beer bottles on the edge of the counter while Ruri stirred the lemonade.

Kohaku glared at Gen, arms crossed. “Where am I supposed to know you from?”

“There’s a TV on the wall right there.” Gen sneered.

“Gen.” Senku hissed, chucking away the beer bottles.

Ruri, the only calm one amongst them answered for Gen. “He’s been on a lot of reality TV shows and game shows.”
Together, Ruri and Senku mixed the beer and lemonade into a jug.

“How did you stumble upon my brother, Mr Gen Asagiri?” Kohaku continued to pry.

“We met at the bar a couple weeks ago.” Senku answered before Gen, who stood there, waiting for a spotlight to beam on him.

A Senku was dropping some cocktails bitters into the jug, Ruri made an innocent comment. “You two seem to be pretty close.”

There was silence in the kitchen. Senku nervously stored the rock shandy he’d just finished mixing. “Please don’t tell Dad.”

“Senku is embarrassed by me, no idea why, if anything I should be embarred by hi-”

“Will you keep quiet please?” This is my house and I get to talk.” Senku snapped at Gen.

Gen looked a little shocked, stepping back slightly but Senku didn’t care.

“By no means am I embarrassed by Gen,” Senku continued explaining. “I’m just not ready to tell him.”

“It was juts sex.” Gen rolled his eyes.

Senku pulled a knife from the drawer. “But what if not juts sex? You actually sometimes s seem like a nice person when the cocky attitude isn’t raining on everyone’s head.”

Gen crossed his arms. “I thought you liked the cocky attitude.”

“I did at the start.” Senku starting slicing lemon without even looking. “But you’ve already seduced me. Now you’re just being a prick, not only to me but to my family. I really thought we could have something but- SHIT.”

Then there was blood on the counter, coming from Senku’s cut open thumb.

Ruri gently put her hand over the cut. “Kohaku dear sister, get me the first aid kit.”

Her sister did so while Gen and Senku still argued.

“You seem like you can be really selfish.” Senku spat.

“Selfish? You think I’m fucking selfish?” Gen argued back. “I drove you here on a Saturday morning after giving you the best sex of your life!”

“That’s just human decency! I know you can be a good person.”

“It doesn’t seem like you actually think so. I had a selfish family so it’s only realistic-”

“That’s a poor excuse.” Senku said, shivering from pain. “I hate that you had a bad family life and I’m not dismissing that, but it doesn’t mean you can be an asshole to other people. You’ll just repeat the cycle.”

Kohaku came with the first aid kit and Ruri patched Senku up. Just as the two blonde girls left the kitchen, Ruri said one last thing. “You two must work things out. No shouting please.”
And then they were alone.

Senku rubbed his wrapped-up finger. Gen fiddled with his lip piercings.

“You really think I can be good?” Gen asked.

Senku nodded. “When you kissed me outside the Chinese restaurant – that was the good Gen.”

Gen nodded too. “And you’re not ready to tell your dad because you think we can be more than a one-night stand?”

The chemistry student shrugged. “I’ve never been a relationship before. I think we should take it slow, without outside pressure.”

Gen stepped a little closer to him. “If we work out, will you tell him?”

“I will. Because I’m far from embarrassed by you.” Senku blinked at Gen. “If you don’t want to be with me, I get it.”

Gen knew that Senku would be different. But not like this.
“I think a need a moment.”
He stepped back.

Senku gestured to the door. “You can leave.”

And he left.

Coming in to see if son was alright, Byakuya walked into the kitchen.
“Senku, are you – wait, where’s your friend?”

Byakuya had never seen his son look so… shattered. Wide eyes and shaking fingers. Senku stared at the spot where Gen had just been.

Was I too harsh? Should I have said sorry?

Senku glanced at his wrapped-up hand, remember it resting on Gen’s thigh gently not too long ago. He then smiled at his dad “Something juts came up. I’m done with the drinks though.”

-

Gen drove home feeling well – nothing. He just focused on the road, where to turn and which lane to get into. He pressed his keys and the gates to the private parking lot opened. He pulled into his parking slot. But he didn’t get out.

He just sat there, hands still gripping the steering wheel. He was gripping it so hard he was worried his metal rings would pierce his skin.
Maybe Senku had been right? I am a little cocky, I just figured it was charming. But then his shoulders shook with tears and laughter at his own thoughts.

“Charming? That’s the thing people got from my dad.” He laughed sarcastically to himself.

Senku had also been right – my family isn’t an excuse to tear other people down. He remembered Senku’s words as he looked into the mirror and spoke to himself again.

“You’re really fucking selfish. Don’t let someone like Senku get dragged into the vicious cycle.”

We stood there with our hearts exposed
