    Nicodemus is a mortal blessed with a horrific gift: to apprise one of their death by a single touch. In fear of their deaths, humans and creatures alike avoid and scorn him, leaving him lonely and longing for a friend.

    Perseus is a promiscuous prince of the shining polis of Corinth, but he holds with him a great prowess: immortality.

    By happenstance their incredibly different worlds collide, and the prince brings Nicodemus back to Corinth, intrigued by the strange familiarity of the boy.

    As Nicodemus navigates his new life as a royal servant, through tournaments, festivals, and a strange man on the beach, he unravels the mysteries of family, love, and companionship.

    However, he soon realizes that although the life he leads is his own, the Fates are always pulling the strings.
