Adrien and Marinette had just recently moved in together. Although he wouldn’t admit it, it was one of the most exciting things in his life, other than his first day of school. But today, he was helping his girlfriend pack her things. Things include emptying old boxes from when they were fourteen or fifteen. Marinette had no idea what she was getting herself into.
Soon enough, the bluenette went to the bathroom, with not a single speculation of what was ahead of her. Adrien found a box labeled “AA2015”, without any suspicion he didn’t think much of it. The box was pink and decorated with blue sparkles. It also had a group photo of the four of them, Adrien, Marinette, Nino, and Alya. He mostly expected it to be just some silly memories from their starting years of Junior High.
He was bound to open it, until some random music started playing in the background from a Sky wars match they were playing earlier on Mari’s now old computer. “Okay world, thank you.” Adrien said, in defeat of the funny music that reminded him of his childhood. Him and Marinette always would imagine a Dino pajamas 9-year-old Adrien playing it on a Wii U, it was too cute to resist. He had shown the picture to the blushing blue-head who was wondering how she got so lucky.
Adrien switched off the music and then opened the box. At the top, he found a Purple dyed photo album with the words “Class of 2019” on it. It mostly just had pictures of the group ever since they started secondary in 2012, and Junior High from 2015. Adrien could well tell this was probably the album his overly stressed girlfriend had showed him a couple months back. Flipping through the pages, he closed the book and shortly saw what was under it to be no other than Marinette Dupain-Cheng’s old bulletin board filled with pictures of his at the time ‘just a friend’ as Adrien would call her.
Hearing overly excited giggles coming from a certain model boy, Marinette decided it would be best to hurry up in the bathroom before Adrien stumbled on something that would make her regret the day of her birth. As she opened the bathroom door, she found a blondie giggling with a pink and black bulletin board with pinned pictures of said banana boy.
The couple had been dating for 3 years, so it was not usual for Marinette to feel flustered around Adrien, but when she was (like right now) , Adrien found it extremely adorable and cute, and it was a perfect moment for it, so he did.
“I see you found me smoking hot, purrincess.” Oh how Marinette wanted to die right now, nothing could top her shame. Sure, it was an understatement that she found him just 'hot' then, but what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him, will it? “Shut up, cat boy.” Said the Ladybug who’s face was even brighter than the suit she wore around roofs for 6 years straight and still does. “Oh, how you adored me! Entwined by a string, a red one!” said a certain blonde guy in between giggles. He found the blueberry princess not to be moving and just frozen in time. He said with a smile on his face “Mari, you okay?” as he was actually started to get worried. He stood up and kissed her forehead. “I was playing.”
“Marry me.”
Silence filled the room as the bluenette realized what she said. The banana boy opened his mouth, just to say, and we quote,
“Okay.”

Time passed by, and the bluenettes still couldn’t deny that she was more than embarrassed. They were now at their new apartment, about to go to bed when Adrien noticed Marinette was still nervous about their earlier experience. “Oh Mari, you should your face right now.” She just nodded and kept quiet in silence. “I don’t find the bulletin board weird, I actually find it cute.” Adrien then kissed the top of her forehead. “Really?” said the now Blue-headed pajama girl. “Of course, Mari. That just gives me 53 reasons to love you.” “53? What about the other 52?” “They’ve always been there.” They then said goodnight and cuddled as the couple watched She-ra on the TV falling asleep slowly in each others arms. Slowly that night, there was made a 54th reason, and there was no needed explanation for that.
However, what they did not know is that Nino and Alya were outside their door the entire night waiting for them, as they did not answer the door. But that was tomorrow them’s problem.
