Summary

This changed my life. I know that term is easily exaggerated or used on such mundane experiences like, discovering that mint chocolate chip ice cream is just leagues better than banana pudding, or figuring out that you dont have to sit and take shit from others all while plastering a nice happy smile on your face, suppressing the sad, angry, ashamed, frustrated, feelings you hold (which now that i think of it is actually an understandable use of the phrase, but ive wrote this much and really dont feel like deleting it all). This work of fiction, in my eyes, could be defined as a revelation. A pivotal moment in my own coming of age story. I will recommend this masterpiece 'til the day i die. every part of this fic is beautiful. (EXCEPT FOR THE SEQUEL OUTLINE IN CHAPTER FOUR. WHICH I HAVENT EXPLICITLY READ FOR FEAR OF MY MENTAL SANITY THOUGH IVE STILL BEEN EXPOSED TO A BRIEF SUMMARY OF IT TO WHICH I CAN CONFIDENTLY STATE THAT IT WILL KILL YOU TO READ. DO. NOT!!!!) I have shed my fair share of tears to this, and i do not regret a single one. During my reading of this fic (which i have just finished reading 40-50 minutes ago, though the seconds just keep ticking) i have crashed out countless times, giggled and squealed even more, and sobbed on several instances (the snaps i sent to my friends with my eyes puffy and cheeks pink, credible proof). When i randomly clicked on this fic that i hadnt been expecting to read that evening just short of a week ago (i had forgotten to filter in the a/b/o dynamins tag into the search) i did not at all anticipate that this random story about two characters in an anime about superpowers and highschool, cherry gatorade, pole vault, and a small, fictional coastal town located in japan, could be such a cathartic, transformative, four hundred thousand word narrative, successful in changing the trajectory of my life, without even meaning to. I'd like to imagine right now, that in another, far, far universe, i am a student in Ise high, sitting beside Izuku in psychology, or best friends with Kimi, or maybe even gossiping with Mina about how i noticed Izuku in the stands, his big smitten green eyes staring up at the top pole vaulter at our school with admiration, engrossed in the way Bakugo's body flexes and moves as he clears the bar. Alas, that is but a fantasy. I am unsure how to end this note, but id like to finish with my favourite quote. "If love is friendship on fire, then let me burn to ashes."
