Chapter Text
Pigsy walked into his apartment to the smell of spices and rice, rich and flavorful and with a nearly as strong scent of fresh vegetables. There was only one person who could be in his apartment and when he turned the corner into the kitchen there he was.
“Just in time,” Tang said as he ladled equal portions of rice and curry into deep bowls on the table. “The rice just finished so it’s the perfect time to eat!”
The smile on the man’s face was wide as he pushed Pigsy to sit down across from him at the table.
“Wh-Tang, you didn’t have to do this,” Pigsy attempted to argue as he stared at the delicious looking meal in front of him. Noodles would always be his pride and joy but he knew how to appreciate other types of cuisine too.
“But I wanted to,” Tang explained as he sat down. “Besides, you’ve been working so much more lately and it’s nice to eat something when someone else makes it for you.”
The joking words ‘is that why you’re always trying to get free noodles out of me’ almost left Pigsy’s mouth but he thought better of it, by now knowing the reason Tang always hung around the shop was indeed because he loved his cooking… but also because he just wanted to spend time with the pig.
Instead he took a bite, relishing the rich flavors. Tang had clearly spent a lot of time on this, and he could tell the man had actually paid attention during their trips to the market despite his complaints.
“You’re definitely right, about that Tang. Thank you.”
