"Come now Diluc, no need to pout", Crepus chuckled as he saw his son sticking out his bottom lip in annoyance. It was the weekened in the early morning, the sun barely having touched the walls of Mondstandt.
Diluc wanted to sleep in for the day, no studies that he has to attend to, no extra lessons that he has to worry about. He even did all the homework, he was given to him, yesterday all afternoon to have a perfect day today.
Now here he was along with his father going to the Church of Barbatos, in the early morning. He knew it was in the early mornings as some shops have yet to open and those who have opened already, their stock was still brand new.
He knew why they were here, his father told him about the meeting with a business partner turned friend here.
Crepus told him that they, his business partner, have a habit of going to church in the morning. He also told him about them having a daughter around his age. Diluc was curious to know who the daughter was and asked to come.
Crepus forgot to tell him, his own son, that they would be needing to wake up in the early morning.
As they went up the steps to the church, the sun steadily rose up and Diluc couldn't help but look over down below, it was nearly time for the citizen's of Mondstandt to wake up.
He turned his attention back to his father that was calling out for him. As he returned back to his father's side, they waited underneath the statue of Barbatos.
"Crepus, my friend!", An unfamiliar voice called out and the father-son duo looked towards the source and saw someone walking over to them with a little girl just trailing behind. Crepus let out a hearty laugh as the man brought him towards a hug.
As the two adults chatted. Diluc curiously looked towards the little girl, the girl gave a wave and pointed towards one of the arches that have been spread around the plaza. Diluc nodded and the two slipped past their parents.
"Hello I'm Diluc Ragvindr", Diluc stuck out his hand for a handshake. The girl gingerly shook it and introduced herself,
"Christina Maria Estrella, but I would prefer Mari instead",
She had really pretty eyes. It reminds him of the chocolate he would secretly eat when his father wasn't looking.
"O-oh, thank you", her cheeks held a slight blush to them.
Ahh, Diluc accidentally said it out loud
