They talked back and forth, half-conversing half-sparring the way they did, only since coming to Jamaica the sparring part had become less and less serious. Murdoc attributed it to the fact that sunshine and white sand beaches did terrific things for the attitude, and that Stuart had been in too good a mood to tick him off.
He knew that wasn’t quite it, really. But it was an easy, logical explanation, and he had never been one to turn down convenience.
