Summary
Kuko and Jyushi do some experimenting backstage after a successful battle.

“You crushed it out there, Jyushi,” Kuko tells him again, sharp teeth nipping at his lips like punctuation. They’ve kissed lots of times but not like this, not with the emotion and exhaustion and paradoxical crackling energy of a just-finished show. Usually Kuko laughs and pecks him on the lips and tells him to get back to sweeping, or cups his chin and kisses him once long and slow with his eyes closed before Jyushi leaves the temple for the night. It always makes Jyushi’s blood fizz and makes it hard not to try to hide away in a corner of the temple so he can stay with Kuko a little longer but Kuko is the one with the self-control and the sense and he doesn’t get carried away like Jyushi does. So if even he’s swept away with the power of it all, how can Jyushi stay rooted?
