Lumine was exhausted from her commissions which seemed to go on longer today for some reason, but when Jean asked if she could watch Klee for a few days, how could she say no to that.
“Oh Miss Honorary Knight!” Klee cheered as Lumine came in to get her.
“Hi Klee,” it wasn’t that Lumine was upset about having to watch her but she was looking forward to visiting Liyue but can’t do it while babysitting now.
While the duo walked through Mondstadt, Klee noticed Diona and went running towards her.
Now Lumine is babysitting two.
But nothing was going to stop her from getting to Liyue.
While most of the ‘adventure’ was, thankfully, tame until the end when they had just reached Liyue.
Now it was off to Bubu Pharmacy since both Klee and Diona got hurt and there wasn’t any statues nearby.
Of courses the trip to the pharmacy ended with Qiqi now joining the group.
Lumine just sighed as she headed towards the harbor with Diona on her neck and Klee & Qiqi each holding a hand.
“Why did we come here?” Klee asked.
Lumine didn’t really know how to answer her so she just said; “I thought it’d be fun to go somewhere new.”
In reality she had a long day and was looking forward to her time with Childe not with children.
“Oh,”
Damn it.
“C-Childe,” Lumine stammered as he approached them.
“So that’s why you’re late.”
“I can explain.”
“It’s ok.” He seemed oddly cheerful as he squatted down to face Klee and Qiqi.
At least he isn’t angry with her.
Lumine couldn’t have been more relieved that the girls took a liking to Childe, except Diona, but she felt like she could start to somewhat relax now.
“Go up to the room, I can handle the kids.”
So she did as he said.
After a relaxing and well deserved bath she put on one of his shirts and waited for him to come back.
But after a while things were still quiet and nobody was back so she decided she better look for them.
He wouldn’t hurt them. Would he?
“Hey.”
She jumped as he hugged her from behind.
“I got them to go to sleep, they’re in the room next door.”
Now she could finally relax for the night.
Apparently the night went too fast and now she’s awake with the sunrise.
She gave Childe a kiss on the cheek before heading to the Adventurer’s Guild to see her commissions for the day.
It was going to be another long day.
It was just barely sunset when she finished and now she was anxious to see what the night brought.
Before she could even hit the final step on her way down from the Guild here came Klee running at full speed.
“Klee did something happen?”
Klee just giggled as she hugged her.
Lumine hugged back before following her to wherever everyone else was- except they weren’t there.
“Where is everyone?”
Klee just took her hand and guided her to the area around the Golden House.
Once they got closer she could see Childe had a full picnic set up for them while there was room for the kids to play.
“Thank you,” she kissed his cheek before giving him a gentle kiss. “Thank you for everything.”
After eating more then her fill, she stretched out and laid her head on his lap dozing off.
He just smiled at her as he stroked her hair.
He’d never admit it but he felt like he could see this being their future.
Lumine ended up waking up what she thought was in a few minutes but was actually a few hours back in the hotel.
‘How did I get here? Why is the bed empty?’
Getting up to look around to see she was all alone in the room.
Quickly remembering they also have the room next door she peeked in to see Childe sprawled out on the bed with all three of the girls all sound asleep.
Lumine just smiled to herself as she felt like she could see this being their future.
Unfortunately the few days of babysitting were coming to an end and it was time to head back to Mondstadt.
“I’ll try to come back tonight.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll come with you.”
“Really?”
Childe just nodded, obvious he had taking a liking to them.
So the five first started in the harbor getting something to eat before going to Bubu Pharmacy to drop Qiqi off first.
“Qiqi… Qiqi had fun.”
After giving some final hugs, the group was now down to four.
After a while they finally got to Mondstadt and Diona was the next to leave the party as she went towards Cat’s Tail.
Lumine sighed as she leaned into Childe slightly, starting to feel relaxed since soon it’d be the two of them.
Once reaching the Knights Headquarters, Klee didn’t even hesitate before running in and looking for Jean.
“Oh there you are.” Jean stated as they walked into her office.
“Jean! Jean! We went on an adventure!”
“Where was the adventure to Klee?”
“Liyue. Miss Honoray Knight took me and Diona and Qiqi! We even got to meet him!” Klee cheered as she pointed to Childe. “He took us on picnics and showed us all these cool toys he made!”
At first Jean was obviously hesitant about it considering he is a Fatui but after seeing how happy both Klee and Lumine are with him she just smiled.
“Thank you again for watching her.”
