Work Text:

Jungkook wakes up with some extra determination and an extra fifteen minutes to spare. His routine had changed constantly throughout the year; what had first started as a nine-to-five job became an early morning stuff to get the coffee orders of his boss and all their colleagues before running to the office and sort out paperwork - just the kind of work he hadn't wanted to get when he set out to look for his first job.

Nearly every one of his friends had told him that was normal in his position as the new one. He would be subjected to run errands - and yes, said errands would often be coffee and lunch orders - until he moved up in ranks or until someone newer arrived to take his place. Jungkook had shouldered this information on but he didn't let it take away his determination to work to achieve his goals.

His routine would be different from now on, all thanks to the abrupt closing of his usual coffee shop. It had been so conveniently on the way to work that he shed a sincere tear of despair when he saw the notice taped to the entrance of the coffee shop.

However, life went on and Jungkook has to find a solution that wouldn't have him taking more time than usual to get to his job. Jungkook refuses to wake up earlier than 5 a.m. to buy coffee for his coworkers that might as well go buy themselves.

A quick search on his phone leads him to what was the (now) closest coffee shop on the way from his house to his workplace. At first, the place doesn’t seem very promising, as it is a famous coffee shop inside a big mall . The logistics don’t add up: entering a mall would imply time lost in walking to reach the shop, and since it was rated as popular, it would probably take ages for him to place an order of so many beverages and get it in a short amount of time. But the reviews left on the coffee shop site agree on one, very singular thing:

Fastest delivery time ever! 10/10 recommended!

Deciding that all of those people can’t be wrong, Jungkook ventures into the mall on a fresh Monday morning. The entrances to the mall are enormous, and it’s obvious whoever built the place had "grandiose" in mind, with wide sliding doors, enormous ceilings and four floors full of all and any kind of business Jungkook can think of. He can see that the main floor is the food court, the second floor seems to be filled with clothing stores and a bunch of miscellaneous stores, while the third and fourth floors look more like office blocks than anything else.

He follows the signs placed every couple of steps to reach the coffee shop, a pretty place with a sunflower as the main logo. It looks inviting enough. He steps inside, surprised when he finds several people lined up, but moving quickly through the lines. Before he can start to guess how this was done, he is already right in front of the cashier.

"Good morning, what can I get for you?"

Jungkook fumbles around and pulls out a piece of paper with the usual orders from his colleagues. "Hi, do you have all of this?"

The cashier quickly reads through the items on his list before slamming it back onto the counter with a nod. "We do! We'll take a little while, is that okay?"

"Sure thing!" The cashier takes Jungkook's credit card - actually, it is his boss', but he didn't need to know that - for the payment and soon Jungkook is left waiting for his considerably big order of hot drinks to come out.

He plays with his phone, checking his social media and sending a meme to the group chat with his friends as he waits. For a moment, he feels a heavy aura on him, and he quickly looks around, almost expecting to find someone looking at him. When he finds no clue of anyone even close to be looking his way, he shrugs and goes back to his phone.

It’s not long before one of the working baristas calls his name. He rushes to the counter and takes the drinks that were (thankfully) placed inside a box he could carry. “Thank you so much,” he breathes out with a grin. “I’ll come back soon!”

He carries the box with only one hand, using his free hand to make his way out of the mall without incidents. He checks his phone when he reaches his beat-up car. Ten minutes.

“Huh,” he sighs in surprise. “I might make this my regular, after all.”

“Hello guys! What will you have today?”

Namjoon looks around impatiently, barely listening to Hoseok’s words as he mutters, “Three iced americanos.”

“The usual then?” At Namjoon’s nod, Hoseok takes his card from his distracted fingers to charge him. “I’ll take them to your table when they’re ready.”

“Yeah, thanks.”

Namjoon moves almost automatically, trusting his other senses more than his eyes to reach the table where Yoongi and Jimin are waiting for him.

Jimin rolls his eyes at him. “Namjoon, you didn’t ask him anything!”

“I got nervous, okay?”

Yoongi snorts to his right. “You? Nervous? Impossible,” he turns to Jimin. “I told you I should’ve gone.”

Jimin shakes his head. “You know Hoseokie doesn’t trust you anymore ever since you spilled his crush in front of the cute barista.”

“They like each other! It’s obvious,” Yoongi fights back.

“But they don’t know it yet!” Jimin hisses. “How long have we been passing as humans and you still don’t get these people need more time to figure things out?”

Namjoon sighs and looks out the wide windows from the coffee shop. “So we know nothing about him?”

“Remember he said his name,” Jimin points out. “Jungkook.”

“And that’s about it,” Yoongi lets out a tired breath. “He’s a quick texter, I can tell you that.”

“And he looked…” Namjoon drifts off.

“His eyes…”

“His waist…”

“His thighs…”

The three of them look at each other with amusement on their faces before letting out a laugh. “There are three kinds of people,” Namjoon shakes his head.

“So the guy is pretty,” Jimin says, receiving confirming nods from the other two. “What do we do?”

“Nothing, I guess,” Namjoon replied with a sigh, thanking Hoseok with a quick smile as he drops by to leave their coffees.

“Or,” Yoongi proposes, “we can wait for him to come back.”

“What makes you think he will come back?” Namjoon wonders. “People come and never come back a lot, we work in a mall of all places.”

“Did you see how many drinks he took in that box?”

Jimin cuts in. “Did you see his arms when he took that box with one arm?” he sighs.

“My point is,” Yoongi takes the lead again, “that he must be getting those coffees for other people,” he theorizes. “And Hoseok’s coffee shop is amazing, so they will ask him to come back. Trust me on this.”

“So we wait,” Jimin says with determination. His two boyfriends nod in agreement.

“We wait.”

The following day Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jimin arrive at the coffee shop a little earlier than usual, they’re going to wait to see if Jungkook comes back to the coffee shop, they order their drinks and sit in their usual spot. For appearance’s sake, they’re casually drinking from their cups, taking little sips to make time, everytime the door opens they immediately turn to see the person entering the shop, and when they see none of them is a certain someone, they look at each other. Someone enters, and suddenly the air around them feels different, they turn to look at the person, and they’re pleasantly surprised to see Jungkook approaching the counter. The three of them observe him, he makes his order and leaves when it’s ready.

“See? I told you he was coming back!” Yoongi smiles proudly.

“Right, you did. Now what? We’re not just going to sit here every day and creepily stare at him, are we?” Jimin asks to get suggestions from Namjoon and Yoongi.

“No, of course, we’re not. We should talk to him.” Namjoon answers first. They look at each other with determination, a silent agreement has been made.

The next day, they repeat the same routine. Although only Namjoon and Jimin go sit at the table, leaving Yoongi at the counter to wait for his order and wait for Jungkook. This time they’re not obnoxiously staring at the door, they’re keeping it together. When Jungkook arrives and makes his order, Yoongi steals glimpses of the man standing next to him. His skin tingles and his nose is delighted by the scent. He breathes in and out. He’s ready to approach him.

“That’s quite the order you got there” Yoongi says, causing Jungkook to look up from his phone.

“I’m sorry?” Jungkook’s puzzled expression makes Yoongi’s heart skip.

“I mean you’re making a large order. Not that there’s anything wrong. I was just curious.”

“Oh, that! No, they’re for my coworkers, I’m in charge of delivering their morning coffees,” Jungkook explains.

“You work around here?” Yoongi asks.

“Yeah! This is on my way to work; it’s pretty convenient, the beverages are good, and they’re ready quite quickly” Jungkook explains.

“Oh yeah, Hoseok-ah really works hard to attend to the customers” Yoongi casually mentions the owner’s name.

“Oh, you know them by name?” Jungkook’s curiosity awes Yoongi.

“Yeah, I’ve been a regular here for quite some time, it was inevitable to get acquainted with the owner. I’m Min Yoongi, by the way. I realized I didn’t introduce myself”

“Oh, I’m Jeon Jungkook. Nice to meet-!”

“Order 211 is ready!” The pair’s interrupted, Hoseok places Jungkook’s order on the counter, “Have a nice day sir!” Jungkook nods and quickly looks at the time on his phone, then back to Yoongi, “Oh I have to get going, but it was nice talking to you!” Jungkook bows and leaves the coffee shop, leaving a baffled Yoongi alone, who goes back to his table and reports the results of his first encounter.

“He works somewhere around here, and his name’s Jeon Jungkook” Yoongi summarizes their conversation.

“Well done Yoongi-hyung! Now we wait for tomorrow” Jimin smiles brightly and holds Yoongi’s hand over the table.

“Hyung, you’ll be talking to him tomorrow again, right?” Namjoon inquires, he had failed the first time, so his hopes are placed on Yoongi.

Yoongi nods and drinks his americano.

Waiting for Jungkook to arrive was turning into a routine for the three of them, a fresh new day and another opportunity to learn more about him. Yoongi tells Hoseok his order and his companions’.

“Yoongi-ssi, you seem to have taken an interest in a certain someone” Hoseok smirks as he teases Yoongi, Yoongi glares at him, “I don’t see how that’s related to you”.

Hoseok’s about to reply when Jungkook swiftly approaches the counter, places his order and turns to look at Yoongi, “Oh hey! we meet again” Jungkook’s happy remark makes Yoongi forget about Hoseok’s teasing, “Why don’t we sit down at a table while we wait?” Yoongi asks, hoping for a positive response.

“Sure! I’ll follow you” Jungkook agrees and follows suit Yoongi as he approaches Jimin and Namjoon.

“Here, these are my friends,” Yoongi’s definition of friends falls short on their true relationship, but he couldn’t spook Jungkook saying they’re life partners so he settles for friends. Jimin and Namjoon introduce themselves and so does Jungkook. Yoongi observes as Jungkook takes out a presentation card from his jacket’s pocket and offers one to them, “Here, I know this isn’t a business-like situation, but I wanted to give you one” Jungkook smiles shyly as he explains his actions. The three of them offer him a card in return.

“We work in one of the corporate offices here, Jungkook-ssi, and this is our favorite coffee shop,” Namjoon says.

“Oh, the three of you work here?” Jungkook asks while reading the presentation cards.

“Yes, we work in different departments, but we still hang out together,” Jimin casually explains.

“That’s pretty cool-” Jungkook is interrupted, his order is ready. He turns to look at the counter and back to the three men sitting with him.

“Oh, I gotta go. It was nice meeting you! I’ll see you around” Jungkook smiles brightly and gets up.

“Take care!” Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jimin respond in unison and observe Jungkook as he exits the coffee shop.

“I would say this is progress”, Namjoon declares with a serious expression, but the bubbly feeling inside him makes him smile showing his dimples. Yoongi and Jimin nod enthusiastically.

Yet another morning of waiting for Jungkook to arrive; Namjoon, Jimin, and Yoongi are together, when they see Jungkook entering they motion for him to join them at their table. After he finishes his order Jungkook walks to the table and sits down.

“Good morning! Oh, I forgot to ask you yesterday, is it okay for me to call you sunbaes?” Jungkook asks with genuine curiosity.

“Good morning Jungkook-ssi, you can call us hyungs! It’s not like we’re your superiors at work. You can call us whatever you feel comfortable with” Jimin responds and resists the temptation to ruffle Jungkook’s hair.

“Oh, then hyungs it is,” Jungkook giggles, taking his time to observe the three men sharing the table with him.

“Jungkook-ssi, you’re headed to work after this, right?” Yoongi asks.

“Yes, it only takes me a couple of minutes walking” Jungkook tilts his head wondering why they asked him about his destination.

“Oh we realized we have a meeting in the same building where you work, would you mind it if we go together?” When Yoongi saw the email he received telling him the details about the meeting with a customer, he couldn’t believe their luck. The location happened to be Jungkook’s workplace. And he immediately messaged Jimin and Namjoon, the universe had given them an opportunity to spend more time with Jungkook.

“I don’t mind it at all!”

Jimin and Yoongi are walking behind Namjoon and Jungkook. They’re idly chatting about the weather and other random topics. When they reach the building they enter and walk together to the elevator. Luckily enough only the four of them go inside the elevator, Jimin, Namjoon, and Yoongi bask in the scent of a distracted Jungkook.

“Hey Jungkook-ssi, what are you doing today after work? Tomorrow’s Saturday so maybe we can go and have drinks together,” Namjoon pulls everyone from their thoughts and proceeds as they had planned.

“Oh, I’m not doing anything special. So of course I'd be more than happy to go!” Jungkook accepts their invitation and they couldn’t be happier.

“At what time do you finish? We can meet here outside” Namjoon’s sticking to their plan.

“At 6, I’ll make sure to finish on time today,” Jungkook looks up, they are nearing the floor he’s getting off, he hurriedly takes out his phone, “Can I have your number? Just in case something comes up-” Yoongi takes Jungkook’s phone and types his contact information. The elevator stops, Jimin and Namjoon exit first as Yoongi returns the phone to him, “We’ll see you tonight, have a nice day Jungkook-ah!”  Yoongi steps outside leaving a giddy Jungkook behind. For the rest of the day, Jungkook couldn’t stop smiling, even if his superiors assigned him lousy tasks.

Jungkook receives a message from Yoongi, letting him know they were already outside, reassuring him there was no need to rush. He’s added to a group chat with Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jimin. When he finishes making copies for a superior, he clocks out and wishes everyone a happy weekend. He misses the way his coworkers look at him, wondering what happened to Jungkook to be that ecstatic. He exits the building and looks up to the sky, the sun was setting and pretty orange and red colors painted the sky. He tries to spot the trio waiting for him. He then notices Jimin waving at him, he walks towards them. They exchange greetings and Jungkook follows them to their destination.

They arrive at a street restaurant, where Yoongi orders food and drinks for them. They sit at a table and Jungkook unties his necktie and unbuttons the top of his shirt. He could only stand such formal clothes for a limited amount of time. He puts his necktie inside his backpack and is surprised to discover Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jimin staring at him.

“What? Is there anything on my face?” Jungkook asks worriedly, the trio seems to be staring at his neck so he touches it wondering if there was a bug.

“Your neck, it’s really pretty,” Yoongi mentions absentmindedly.

“And you have a couple of beauty spots-” Namjoon speaks to one in particular and Jungkook unconsciously touches his neck.

“Thank you? I’ve never been told my neck’s pretty,” Jungkook laughs embarrassedly and his ears turn red.

Under the table, Jimin kicks both Namjoon and Yoongi to bring them back to their senses.

“Don’t mind them Jungkook-ah, they’re just speaking nonsense,” Jimin glares at the pair and smiles at Jungkook.

They’re pulled from their daze as their food arrives, Yoongi and Namjoon mumble a quiet sorry and they start eating. With food and alcohol the mood improves, they talk about their day and Jungkook complains about his job. The trio realizes Jungkook’s probably drinking too fast, when they’re done eating Jimin, Namjoon and Yoongi are completely sober, they try to get Jungkook to tell them his address to take him home, but he’s a goner. With no alternative, they decide to bring him to their home.

Jungkook opens his eyes and realizes the ceiling he’s staring at isn’t his own. He sits down and notices he’s still wearing his pants and shirt, he’s on a sofa in someone’s living room, there’s the smell of food coming from somewhere else in the house, he rubs his eyes, gets up, and follows the smell of food. He gets to the kitchen where Namjoon’s sitting at a small table drinking tea from a cup, Jimin and Yoongi are busy by the stove, but they turn to look at him. Jungkook scratches the back of his head and smiles sheepishly.

“Good morning Jungkook-ah, did you sleep well?” Namjoon looks up from the book he’s reading and waits for his reply, Jungkook nods.

“I’m sorry about last night, I must have been a handle, huh?” Jungkook walks and tries to look as apologetic as possible.

“You kinda were, don’t worry though. We didn’t expect you to get drunk so easily, so it’s kinda our fault too” Jimin hands him a cup of warm coffee.

“I usually don’t drink to the point of losing myself, I guess I just felt comfortable with you. It might sound weird given that we’ve only known each other for a couple of days, but it feels like I’ve known you my whole life.” Jungkook chuckles and ventures to look at Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jimin and he sees surprised expressions on their faces.

“It’s the same for us,” Yoongi replies as he starts serving the food, the four of them sit at the table, “It’s soup for your hangover, I’m sure you’ll feel better. Eat,” Yoongi explains and they start eating.

Jungkook’s memories from the previous night stay hazy, and he only remembers bits of clinging to someone, crying and laughing.

To Jungkook’s relief, that little drunken episode didn’t scare Jimin, Namjoon, and Yoongi away, if anything it brought them closer. They spend their time together at the coffee shop while Jungkook waits for his order, they even sometimes order for him so that he can spend more time with them. They would occasionally walk with him to his workplace when they had business meetings there. They go out on the weekends; the movies, the arcade, restaurant exploration, and shopping. Jungkook feels at ease when he’s with them, and he gets to be himself.

He doesn’t put much thought into their relationship or the meaning of certain antics they display, sometimes Yoongi opens the door for him, other times Namjoon compliments his scent, and Jimin gives him odd gifts here and there. That is only until one of his coworkers brings up the topic:

“Jungkook-ssi, what’s going on with you?”

“What do you mean, sunbae?” Jungkook’s not good at reading between the lines, so he needs his sunbae to be clearer.

“Look around you Jungkook-ssi, we’re all tired and rarely smile, whereas you feel like walking sunshine, I can even see flower petals around you. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for you. But I’m just curious.” His sunbae looks at him expectantly, eagerly waiting for an explanation.

“I do? I hadn’t noticed. I can’t think of a reason though,” Jungkook’s surprised by his sunbae’s comment.

“Oh, come on, you met someone, right? You keep looking at your phone and have this happy silly smile afterward.” His sunbae probably doesn’t mean any harm but Jungkook feels a little lost.

“I didn’t? I’m not dating or seeing someone at the moment, so I don’t understand-”

“You don’t?” Jungkook’s sunbae notices his discomfort and stops prying, “then just pretend this last couple of minutes didn’t happen. Just ignore me Jungkook-ssi. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable”. Jungkook’s sunbae pats his shoulder and walks away, leaving Jungkook in a contemplative state.

After Jungkook finishes his work, he leaves the office and meets Jimin outside the building, they’re on their way to meet with Yoongi and Namjoon at a restaurant. Jimin notices Jungkook’s odd mood, “Jungkook-ah, is everything okay? You seem a little off,” Jimin questions him as they walk side by side and Jungkook can’t come up with a response that makes sense, so he nods.

They arrive at their destination, Yoongi and Namjoon are already sitting at a table, Yoongi’s reading the menu while Namjoon’s looking at his phone. Jimin sits next to Yoongi and Jungkook sits next to Namjoon. They notice Jungkook’s frown and look at him with a puzzled expression.

“A sunbae at work asked me if I was seeing someone, he said he had the impression I did, but I don’t, why would he say that?” Jungkook asks no one in particular.

Yoongi’s about to speak when Jungkook interjects, “I only have you guys around me, are you the reason I’m happy? Then why would he imply I have a lover?” Jungkook’s frown deepens, “Does that mean we’re not just friends? I can’t wrap my head around it,” Jungkook sighs and covers his eyes in frustration.

He misses the way Yoongi, Jimin, and Namjoon look at each other with a worried expression and the silent agreement they make.

“Jungkook-ssi, does the idea of being more than friends feels too appalling?” Namjoon questions softly.

Jungkook immediately looks at him, and the gentle expression on Namjoon’s face makes his heart flutter. He thinks about Namjoon’s question, and he can’t find a reason to say yes. So he shakes his head, denying. Namjoon smiles at him, to the point where his dimples appear.

“Jungkook-ssi, this might be a little shocking, but we never had the intention of staying just friends, there’s something about you that draws us to you,” Jimin holds Jungkook’s hand over the table and gently rubs his thumb in circles.

“We? You mean like the three of you?” Jungkook’s in disbelief.

“That’s correct, we all feel something beyond explanation for you, you’re just too good to let go. So please don’t let go of us,” Yoongi’s cheeks blush and his eyes remind Jungkook of a puppy waiting to be adopted. And a tiny voice inside him tells him he could never let go of them, they’re too precious to him, and they’re too important to him, he can’t imagine his life without them.

“I could never let go of you.” Jungkook’s heart beats so loudly he wonders whether Yoongi, Jimin, and Namjoon can hear it too. And a warm feeling spreads in him, he feels as if a question inside him left unasked for too long has been answered, and that makes him feel elated.

After they leave the restaurant, Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jimin offer to walk Jungkook home, and he accepts. There’s a comfortable silence among them, and they limit themselves to walk side by side looking at the stars. When they reach Jungkook’s apartment, they wait until Jungkook opens his door, when he’s about to step inside Jimin grabs him by his hand and pulls him closer, he kisses his cheek and wishes him a good night. Jimin steps aside and Namjoon takes his place, kissing Jungkook’s nose followed by a low good night, Yoongi does the same, kissing Jungkook on the lips, their lips barely touching. The trio leaves and waves goodbye as they walk away.

Yoongi, Jimin, and Namjoon arrive at their own apartment. Happy couldn’t begin to describe their emotions, but a looming topic left unspoken stops them from feeling overjoyed. They’re vampires, and Jungkook doesn’t know it. They hadn’t considered telling him, but once they realized how deep Jungkook’s emotions were, they don’t think it’s fair to keep it a secret, so they decide to tell him the truth, they figure it’d be worst to keep him in the dark only to learn the truth later in the future. They text Jungkook, inviting him to spend the day with them at their apartment, meals and a movie marathon included. Jungkook accepts.

Jungkook barely got any sleep that night, he kept tossing and turning thinking about how delicately he had been kissed, and his mind was too excited wondering about what they’d do the next day. His alarm goes off and he gets up, he gets ready, this time carefully deciding on his clothes and hair, he takes with him snacks and soft drinks to share with them.

Jungkook arrives at their place, knocks on the door, and metaphorically melts at the sight of a fresh out of bed Namjoon, he’s allowed inside and giddily says good morning to everyone. But his mood isn’t matched by everyone else. They’re sitting on the sofa, and there’s a nervous air about them. Jungkook frowns and sits down on the chair across from them, he holds a pillow in his arms.

“Hyungs? What’s going on? You look like you just saw a ghost or something,” Jungkook tries to get his hyungs out of their stupor.

“Jungkook-ah, we need to tell you something, we’ve been keeping it a secret from you. It doesn’t feel right to keep you in the dark anymore,” Yoongi takes a look at him and smiles weakly.

“We were never certain as to how we should bring this topic out, now we just need to get it off our chests, so please, bear in mind after we tell you this, our feelings are genuine, we couldn’t love you anymore.” Jimin’s plea worries Jungkook, he can feel his pals sweating as he hugs the pillow.

“Jungkook-ah, we, uh-” Namjoon takes a deep breath and looks at Jimin and Yoongi, they nod and Namjoon turns back to Jungkook, “we’re vampires, as in, we need blood to exist and we don’t die easily and stuff,” Namjoon stops speaking and they all look at Jungkook expecting a reply.

Jungkook stays silent and laughs awkwardly after, “Ha ha ha, hyungs! You got me there! Why would you come up with such a lousy joke?” Jungkook’s about to get up to go closer to them, but their expressions stay the same.

“It’s true, we’re not joking. We thought it’s only fair for you to know this about us, we wanted to be completely honest with you. We’re not starting off this between us hiding something so important from you,” Yoongi’s solemn expression doesn’t falter, and Jungkook understands they aren’t kidding. He had heard rumors before about vampires living amongst humans, but he had never made too much of them.

“You’re, you’re vampires!?” Jungkook suddenly feels distressed, and he can’t make out his emotions nor find something to say. He gets up and passes a hand through his hair, the trio sitting on the sofa watches him as he paces around and patiently waits for him to say something else. They look too distraught to speak, Yoongi’s keeping his hands in a fist, Jimin’s holding on tightly to a cushion, and Namjoon’s holding a book in his hands.

“I, I, I don’t know what to say, and I can’t guarantee I won’t say something harmful to you. I think it’s best if I leave. I need time to think, just give me some time, okay?” Jungkook nervously walks towards the door and exits the apartment. He takes his phone out of his pocket and opens their group chat, he sends three words to their chat, “I love you.”

Jungkook thinks, and thinks hard about what to do. His work colleagues noticed soon that his mood changed and Jungkook hates that he can see why. After the first “You’ve been looking sad, Jungkook-ssi, is everything okay?”, he realizes that he has really been moping around for close to two weeks out of his own will.

His group chat with Namjoon, Yoongi and Jimin is still filled with warm morning greetings, the occasional outdated meme, and pictures of the trio going on about their day. It almost feels as if they’re saying ‘we’re here, and we’ll wait for you’, and Jungkook’s heart ached because he more than anything wished to see and talk to his three favorite people again.

It wasn’t until a long, sleepless night, that Jungkook realized that his thinking would lead him nowhere. His initial feelings of uncertainty are nowhere to be seen, replaced only with longing and a set determination to make things right. Jungkook thought that his boyfriends being vampires would imply a drastic change on how he looked at them… the history on their group chat only proves otherwise.

Determined, he texts a quick “I’m on my way” after his shift at work ends and rushes to meet the vampires.

The scene is awfully familiar, with Jungkook standing in front of three nervous-looking vampires waiting to hear what he has to say.

“So,” he starts. “I’ve thought about it… and I have some questions.”

They perk up at his words. “What is it?” Namjoon asks.

“Are you the cliche vampires? Will you lose control if you see blood? How are you different from human guys with a human boyfriend?”

Yoongi clears his throat. “It’s mostly the same. We’re… considerably in control of our urges by now, so-”

“Is that another way to say you’re ancient?” Jungkook cuts him off.

“Not as ancient as you’d imagine,” Jimin replies. “We’re just that good.”

“As I was saying,” Yoongi continues. “We do drink blood, and while we get enough of it without harming other beings…” he trails off.

“What is it?”

Yoongi looks shy , and Jungkook looks on in disbelief. Namjoon stares fondly at his boyfriend and continues for him. “Even if we do that,” he explains. “Drinking blood from your romantic partners is considered a very intimate act, so we might…”

Jungkook finishes for him. “Want to do that with me?”

He gets three nods in response. He is silent, thinking about his next actions. “Could I see what it is like?”

Jimin’s eyes widen. “What do you mean?”

“What you mean about the blood, I want to try it.”

Namjoon looks sheepish, but he replies with a serious tone. “We can’t do that lightly, Jungkook. If you do it then it means you’re in.”

Jungkook nods, walking forwards to offer his hands to the three of them. “I’m in,” he confirms. “I want this, and I want you,” he confesses. “I have never felt happier than I’ve felt since I met the three of you. This time apart has felt like torture, and I realized if you’re okay with it, and no one is getting hurt, then I want to be with you, for real.”

Yoongi takes one of Jungkook’s hands and pulls him to make him sit on his lap, effectively leaving the younger one surrounded by the three vampires. “Are you sure you want this, Jungkook-ah?” Yoongi whispers to his ear, his hands moving to hold onto his waist.

Jungkook nods. “Will it hurt?”

Namjoon, who’s in front of him, takes his hand and shakes his head. “It will be nice, and you’ll be safe, we got you. If you want us to stop at any time, just let us know and we’ll stop.”

“Okay, I’m ready.”

Three faces get close to his body, with Namjoon bringing Jungkook’s wrist close to his lips while Jimin kisses one side of his neck while Yoongi nuzzles the other. In a way that seems so synced he’d believe they had planned beforehand, the three of them bite and break his skin. Jungkook feels a second of pain, and then it is all good.

He can feel Yoongi humming as he drinks from him, the firm hold on his hand as Namjoon does the same, and the muffled whimper from Jimin to his left. He’s making noises too, even if he’s not aware of what it is. The enthusiastic response of the vampires shows in the form of them moving to hold more of his body, and soon Jungkook feels hands wandering all over his body.

They stop biting, his broken skin receiving licks that bring a soothing sensation, and a quick look at his left wrist shows that there is no scar on sight. Jungkook whines as the rush of the thrilling sensation fades away, but he doesn’t get a moment to catch his breath as the hands of his three boyfriends start teasing his body.

“This isn’t fair,” he sighs out.

Jimin is kissing his neck, and he laughs. “What isn’t fair?”

“This feels so good, I won’t be able to handle it.”

Namjoon laughs at him. “We could stop, you know?”

Jungkook looks at him and pulls him from the collar of his shirt to kiss him. He tries not to get distracted by his other two boyfriends, which proves to be a challenge.

“No stopping,” he says once he breaks the kiss, moving to kiss Yoongi and Jimin in turns. “We’re not stopping now.”

Yoongi stands up with Jungkook in his arms. “You heard our boyfriend,” he calls out to Namjoon and Jimin. “We’re not stopping tonight.”

Everyone is smiling as Jimin runs to their bedroom while Namjoon walks along with Yoongi and Jungkook, dropping kisses on Yoongi’s neck as he walks. They reach the bedroom, the door closes, and the four of them become an us that night.
