It was a sweet little jester, one that a person could easily dismiss a sleepiness cuddles but for him it was so much more. He snuggled closer to his alpha as they lay on the soft mattress in his room at the Jedi temple. He had foregone his mask, goggles and his heavy robes for soft pyjamas and bare face, since he was not the one required to wear a mask for safety, his beloved wore one tonight. He wished that he and his lover could breathe the same air but alas they could not. Still, it was nice to be able to curl around his beloved, breathing mask or not.
His beloved, his mate, his alpha, his Wolffe lay on his back snoring lightly, the light gray sleeping shirt with a grumpy looking wolf pup on the front, bunched up so it lay diagonally on his figure. His legs bare under the balled and twisted blankets. Wolffe's hand unconsciously shifted over his stomach, bring his thoughts back to the reason he was still awake.
Warmth spread from his core to the limps of his body. He liked the thought that his lover could subconsciously feel their children now resting in his womb. Even if they were no more that three small balls of light in the Force and on the sonogram. It was quite shocking to see the tiny beans that would grow into their children over the next eleven months. Given their biological differences, they were told they could never have biological children of their own. The news saddened them, but not to much, there were many other ways to have children.
Even before the beginning of the the war, before his relationship to his dearest heart, before his and his fellow Jedi transformations to omegas, he always wanted children, even with the Jedi Order's rule against the having of children, he knew he wanted children. And he wanted them with someone he held closest to his heart. So when the transition from peacekeeper, to soldier, to omega happened, he jump on the opportunity, to fulfill his life long dream even if he couldn't have them naturally.
And now he had his mate, his love. And together they can build their home and family. And with the sudden omega status of the Jedi and subsequent result of many code rules being forgotten. He couldn't be happier and more ready for children. Still they never planned on having children given the biological differences between the two but after his first true heat, fate twisted in his favor.
His mate had dragged him to the halls of healing after a unknown illness had kept up have a week even with medication to try and help. But no illness was to be found just three tiny lights floating in his belly. He cursed himself for not noticing early but everything was so chaotic that he didn't blame himself. Still his healer talked with him about his pregnancy and how risky it would be. He listened with half an ear far to busy to really pay attention. But when he arrived at at the small apartment they called home, they celebrated like their was no tomorrow.
Nothing was noticeable at the moment, but if he looked closely enough in the mirror he could see his stomach muscles he build up over time beginning to soften and round like many of his fellow Jedi who were also pregnant. He never really paid attention to his body other that the necessary functions needed to survive. But now, every chance he got he would run his clawed hand up and down his falt belly imagining the time when it would be a true curve.
His mate was pleased with the new behaviour. Maybe it was an alpha thing or just a Wolffe thing but he didn't really care, all he knew is his mate is happy and he is too.
Wolffe stirred above his head. He glanced up and grinned as Wolffe smiled at him sleepily, "hello omega, why are you still awake,"he asked, "mind to loud?"
Plo shook his head, "No just thinking" he replied. Wolffe looked at him fondly rubbing his hand over Plo's stomach. Suddenly he got overwhelmed with emotion. He turned to Wolffe and smiled with watery eyes. "We're gonna have a baby alpha, our own little baby," he said, settmental tears welling up in his eyes. Wolffe smile and kissed him lightly on the head, wiping away small tears that ran down, "I know my sweet," he stated tired but happy. Plo curled into him more and smiled even thought Wolffe wouldn't see. "Let's go back to sleep my dear, we can talk in the morning but we need to sleep, especially you," he said. Plo went to protest but as Wolffe started to hum a lullaby causing him to gently doze off. With his head on his alpha's chest, little ones resting with him , Wolffe's hand softly brushing along his tummy, humming a gently lullaby. He dozed off. Tomorrow would be a long day but for now, he could just lay quiet with his mate like many of his fellow brethren at the Jedi Temple.
