Sam’s pov
When I got a call from bucky at almost ten pm on a Thursday night I got a little concerned. “Hello?” I answered the phone curious. “Hey Sam sorry I know it’s late I just…..i don’t know i guess you could say i missed you?” Bucky said so fast if sam would have blinked he would have missed it.
He chuckled softly “It’s ok man. I guess i miss you too. The boys won’t stop talking about how they want you to come down here and visit their class for show and tell” sam told bucky. “Really? i didn’t think they would want me to go down there for real.” bucky said “well if you miss us all so much you should just come down here and visit. I have my own place now you could come check it out.” sam told him.
“Would it be too soon if i came down this weekend?” Sam chuckled “No buck we would love to have you and you know it.” Sam could practically hear bucky smiling through the phone. “Alright we’ll then i guess i’ll see you on friday? send me your new address and i’ll be there” he said to sam. “alright buck i’ll see you then”
Sam smiled to himself, he didn’t think he would get to the point of calling bucky and asking him to come visit, but he had missed him too. I guess it’s just after you spend so much time with someone you feel weird when they’re gone. Sam couldn’t say he was too upset that bucky was coming into town himself.
Buckys pov
He can’t believe he just called sam and admitted that to him. He would never admit it but being alone in this apartment all the time and not seeing anyone was driving him crazy and he truly missed sam and his family too. He booked his plane to leave at 7pm from new york to see sam.
He wished he could come sooner, but he didn’t want to intrude on their lives anymore than he already has. Bucky went to sleep with a smile on his face, excited to get to see his favorite people again soon.
