I.

MADOKA KANAME WAS THE BEAUTIFUL MARTYR who shed her own blood and became one with the world for the sins of the naive magical girls, who signed contracts and fought till they themselves became the enemy to balance the world—blessed is she who gives up oneself for the slumber and rise of others.

The world with Kaname as its wielder is one of happiness and rightfulness, where those slashed at and used as pawns rejoice in the essence of the sun and bask in the air gifted by the goddess, and as the good-hearted person she was, Kaname even allowed witches to reincarnate into the world as they were, but with the problems in their life resolved rather than an impossible massacre.

A beautiful, beautiful world by the beautiful, beautiful goddess, who watches from afar and is the fruit that’s juices and seeds construct the new world as it is—

A concept that Homura must tear apart.

II.

Homura’s one goal for many timelines had been one thing:

Ensure that Madoka survives and is never put in a position of magic.

Many times did this fail immediately, and many times did this succeed just to mess up at the last second.

The most successful timeline happened to be the timeline where Madoka chose to be the leader of the woes that come with magical girls, and where Madoka watches and helps from above.

This, however, was unacceptable to Homura.

Madoka has put herself into a position where she will bear the pain and misery of fools and never be allowed to continue her life as a cheerful middle-schooler. She will not be able to return home and watch over her brother or converse with her parents. She is a body of magic, not believed by the sensors and portrayed as a faraway god by the intuitive.

Akemi cannot let this happen much longer—she must save the new goddess from the crucifixion she has enabled, and teach Kaname the errors of her self-sacrificing plan.

The goddess wilt beest reborn and liveth the sinless, immaculate life the lady deserves, without being did force to beest the mother of the ignorant and ungrateful, or the lady wilt beest did corrupt and did force into despair by all the trauma yond is did face by the former wielders of gems.

III.

Oh, how fitting these obsidian demon wings of hers are—a beautiful parallel to the angelic pure white wings of her beloved Madoka—and how fitting this obsidian open gown of hers is, a contrast to the virgin snowy gown of her beloved Madoka.

IV.

“We could work together for the world—you can continue with this peaceful life,” Madoka tells her as she attempts to get her glove-covered wrists out of Homura’s grip. Homura simply holds her tighter with her left hand and cups the pink-haired girl’s chin with her right.

“I could," Homura coos between laughs, "but, oh, my beautiful Madoka…I have already secured a peaceful life for you this way.”

Her sweet, sweet Madoka. Finally, after all these attempts to save her, after all these attempts to preserve her, Madoka finally will no longer be burdened with the consequences of magical girls. She will finally be in a position where her life—

BLESSED IS THE WOMAN WHO TRUSTS IN THE GODDESS, WHOSE CONFIDENCE IS IN HER. SHE WILL BE LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY THE WATER THAT SENDS OUT ITS ROOTS BY THE STREAM. IT DOES NOT FEAR WHEN HEAT COMES; ITS LEAVES ARE ALWAYS GREEN. IT HAS NO WORRIES IN A YEAR OF DROUGHT AND NEVER FAILS TO BEAR FRUIT.

—Madoka is the sacred goddess who has died for the sins of magical girls, and has blessed upon the world a future where gems do not exist and happiness is the only outcome, but that is too well for this world—wretched and hiding with maliciousness and sinisterness, the world still is. That is too dirty, corrupted for the modern messiah.

Homura kisses Madoka softly, humming at the goddess’s soft squeal. The divine powers of the pink-haired goddess are slowly oozing away.

Now, Madoka will be saved from sin, and always, always happy.

Blessed is she who gives up oneself for the slumber and rise of others.
