Angelic. That was the best word to describe Bruno Bucciarati’s voice. His voice reflected the kindness deep in his soul yet remained stern and unwavering.
(Y/N), Bucciarati, and Abbacchio had stayed up all night on a voice call, talking about everything and nothing at once. It had felt so peaceful to not worry about the world for once. It was the chance to ponder how life could’ve been had everyone lived a regular life.
Abbacchio had decided to depart from the call, citing his tiredness. That left (Y/N) and Bucciarati alone on the call together, finding comfort in each other’s company.
“You know (Y/N), we should probably get some rest,” he started, reluctant to put an end to their time together. (Y/N) gave a tired grunt as a response, already giving in to her sleepiness.
“(Y/N)?” he asked, wanting to make sure she was still cognizant.
“...yes, Bruno?” she questioned, voice low and soft.
“Sei bella quando sei stanca,” he said quietly, almost too quiet for her to hear.
(Y/N) was too far tired to think about Bucciarati’s words, giving a spacey “Yes,” as a response.
He gave a quiet chuckle, completely enamored with her. He didn’t know if he could ever act on those feelings. To him, least he could do was make those feelings clear, even if (Y/N) was too tired to remember what he said the next day.
“Ti amo (Y/N),” he muttered, thinking she had finally fallen asleep. Before he hung up, a small tired voice spoke out.
“Ti amo Bruno. I love you so much,” and a click. Bruno smiled at his phone. (Y/N) never failed to surprise him. And with that, he finally succumbed to his tiredness, praying that maybe she’d remember his confession. At least he knew she felt the same way.
