Honestly, it had been years since they spoke to each other properly. As all three of them became teachers, their meeting was inevitable. They saw each other here and there but never for too long, especially not to have a proper, casual conversation. It was more so formalities that needed to be exchanged. She wasn’t so much scared of her feelings anymore but more about how to actually deal with the distance they had. After three years apart and her move to Kyoto, the boys didn’t really bother to keep up with her, and neither did she with them. At least not in the way they used to.
So nothing could prepare her for the reaction she got today.
