Summary
It’s not a dog. It’s an omega.
Jesus fuck, it’s an omega — a boy, blond and pale and damn tiny. A frail little thing. Dabi’s Alpha’s snarling only increases tenfold.
In the air hangs the heavy scent of melted caramel, burning sugar, it’s sweet and it’s intoxicating and it’s goddamn nauseating — there’s a collar around the omega’s neck, thick steel of some sort, connected to the floor by a chain. Meant for control, more than anything else.
Dabi flicks his gaze up, and makes the mistake of looking right into wide eyes, the brightest, bloodiest crimson, already staring right into his own. They blink at him exactly once, glistening in the moonlight, set alight by a bright blue fire and half obscured by Dabi’s shadow in the doorway and they’re beautiful, and Dabi’s breath catches in his throat.
“S’alright, doll,” he murmurs — he can’t take everything off the omega, yet, but he can get him out of this disgusting fucking shed. “I’ll get you the fuck outta here.”
In which Katsuki Bakugou's never known anything but a captive's life, and Dabi thinks he might've finally found something worth living for.
