Summary
The stories of many heroes involve the great deeds they've done in battle. For some, the test of heroism doesn't come until after the battle is already won. After the dust of a planet-altering war that brought divine magical abilities and two-legged animal people to our reality finally settled, a young man struggles with his place in the new world. His chance to become a legend like he always dreamed of has come and gone with little to show for it, overshadowed by the legacies of the real heroes he fought alongside.
