"Thank you for the help, Y/n." The fresh smell of wood and new books filled the library in the Knight of Favonius Headquarters. Standing by one of the tables was the beloved sexy purple witch, Lisa and a dedicated knight, Y/n. Y/n smiled and shook her head. "It's no problem, Lisa. It's my job to help anyone around." Lisa smiled before remembering something she heard earlier from Amber.
"So, Y/n, how is your relationship with Master Diluc?" Y/n dropped the book that was in her hand causing Lisa to chuckle a bit. "Please be careful with the books." "Oh my stars! I-I'm sorry, Lisa!" She stammered as she picked up the book. "Me and Master Diluc? No, we've just spoken a few times. We're just acquaintances." Lisa smiled. "Oh, is that so? Then what about-"
As Lisa was about to continue to tease Y/n, the door to the library was slammed open. Lisa and Y/n's eyes widened before realizing who the culprit was. "Y/n!" Y/n smiled as she saw the small pale blonde run up to her. Her red eyes were filled with joy and excitement as if she was a girl on a mission.
"Klee! You can't just slam the door. This is a library, please remember that." Lisa scolded as Klee continued to smile. "What's wrong, Klee?" "That Weird Grown Up is looking for you and he asked Klee to look for you!"
Y/n and Lisa were confused. "Weird Grown Up?" Lisa questioned as Klee nodded her head. "Yes! He's very grumpy and Klee gets scared sometimes but when he sees Y/n, he smiles!" Y/n bend down at Klee's height. "Klee, can you describe to me what he looks like?" "Mm! He has red hair and he makes fire, like Klee! Kaeya said he was weird, so Klee listened!"
Y/n sighed as Lisa chuckled as they realized who Klee was talking about. "Lisa, is this all the work for the day?" Lisa nodded her head. "You're in the clear, I'll tell Jean that you checked out." Y/n smiled. "Thank you!" Y/n patted Klee's head before heading out of the library. "Oh! Y/n!"
Her head turned to see Aether and Paimon beside him. "Oh, Aether, Paimon." Paimon flew over beside her. "Where are you off in a hurry?" Y/n chuckled nervously. "Ah, it seems like Master Diluc is looking for me. Though, I don't know where but I'm sure to find him."
"Oh! Paimon and Aether just saw him in the middle of Mondstadt! I'm sure you'll find him there." Y/n nodded her head. "Thank you for the information." "Good luck, Miss Y/n." Aether said, with a calm tone. "Thank you, Traveler!" Y/n cried out as she opened the doors to the exit of the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.
"My, my, if it isn't our lovely and helpful knight, Y/n." She sighed. How many people must she run into today before meeting Master Diluc. "Cavalry Captain Kaeya. It has been a while." As the sun glowed upon Kaeya's skin, he smiled. “It has, hasn’t it? So where are you off in a hurry? Surely, you’re not going to visit my brother?” Y/n froze as her face started to turn slightly red. “A-Ah! Well…” Kaeya sighed. “Seriously, what do you even see in him? Why not go for someone like me?” Kaeya teased while giving a little wink. “Captain.” “Yes, Y/n?”
She took a deep breath before sprinting off. Kaeya stood there, confused for a second before laughing. “Oh, Y/n. It would be much more fun as in laws.”
Y/n ran at full speed and looked behind her to see if Kaeya was following. “Thank Barbatos, he didn’t follow, mE!” “Ah!” Y/n collided with something and was sent back, leading her to fall on her bottom. “Y/n?!” “Amber!” In front of her was none other than the Outrider of the Knights of Favonius, Amber. “Wah! Amber! I’m so sorry!” Y/n cried out as Amber chuckled. “You really should look where you’re running, Y/n.” “I know, I know!” The two stood up as Amber patted the girl’s shoulder. “So why are you in a rush?” “Oh, I’m looking for-” “M-Master Diluc!”
There was shriek from around the corner, causing Y/n to turn her head towards that direction. “Excuse me, Amber.” She said, before heading to the direction of the shriek. Peeking from the corner, Y/n’s eyes widened. Standing there, was Donna and Diluc, holding a bouquet of red camellias. Then it struck her.
“Master Diluc?” Y/n questioned as she saw Diluc in the library. He paused for a second as Y/n looked at the book he was holding. ‘Flower-’ He hid the book behind him before clearing his throat. “Miss Y/n, it is nice to see you are safe.” “Yes, well, I manage.” “Would you join me today on a game of chess?” He said, as he walked over to me. The book was gone and Y/n was confused. “Miss Y/n?” “Hm? Oh, yes! I mean, of course. And today will be the day you lose.” “We’ll see about that.”
The book was about flower meanings. It was one of Y/n’s favorite books, and she didn’t recognize it before but…
Red camellias. A symbol of love, passion, and deep desire.
Her heart was torn. But in clear denial. There is no way Diluc could be giving those to Donna. But Donna looks so happy…
“Miss Y/n?” Her head turned and standing in front of her was none other than the Darknight Hero himself. “Oh, Master Diluc! Klee told me that you..” She was avoiding his eye contact which caused Diluc to become a bit frustrated. “And then I ran into the traveler and Paimon. As well as Cavalry Captain Kaeya and Amber.” “Miss Y/n, I believe you’re rambling.” Y/n covered her mouth and finally looked at him. “Oh my! I’m so..”
Diluc smiled as he held the red camellias in his hands. “You’re finally looking at me.” Her cheeks started to turn red. “Yes, well…” Diluc handed her the flowers and she smiled as she took them. “Red camellias… you do what they represent-” “Love, passion, and deep desire.”
Her eyes widened. She knew that he already knew the meaning, but the fact that he said it. Love..
With blush dusted on his cheeks, Diluc cleared his throat. “Would you accompany me to dinner tonight? Just the two of us?” Y/n looked at the camellias and smiled. “I would love to too!”
Not far, but from above the two love birds, was everyone that Y/n encountered today and Grand Master Jean. “They’re so cute.” Lisa exclaimed as Paimon was in shock. “I never would have thought Master Diluc would be interested in someone!” “Shh. Paimon!” Aether shushed her as Klee stared down at the two. “If Y/n likes that Weird Grownup, Klee will have to be much nicer!” Jean chuckled. “Let’s start by calling him Master Diluc, Klee.” Kaeya huffed. “I do not understand what she sees in him.” “Oh, get over it Kaeya! Look how cute they are!” Amber said as they all continued to watch the awkward couple.
