Summary
Astaval is a small settlement with a people that are closely connected to its roots. Nearby, a mysterious forest called the Disappearance looms, occasionally spiriting people away or showing them odd, fantastical sights. Wyll is a young man who seeks to understand his place in the world, to be understood by his growing community, and uncover the lost history of his home.
One fateful day, he's lost in the Disappearance. Not for long, though--he's soon discovered by a spirit of the woods, a Small God, the Wolf.
