Colors

Summary:

Work Text:

The bell rings, signalling that class has finally ended. Adrien let out a tired sigh as he slides his bag on his shoulder, before waving goodbye at his classmates. He walked through the hallways until he reached the entrance of the school. He'd expected to see his car at the moment he stepped out, but the car is barely in his sight.

"He's still not here?" The boy asked himself, pertaining to his bodyguard. His phone vibrates, so he digs it out from his pocket and saw that his driver just send him a message.

running late. be there in thirty minutes.

Adrien furrowed his eyebrows together. There's no way he's actually gonna wait that long, right?

Where are you? He typed, then hits send. Moments later, his phone rings again.

gas station.

Adrien huffed. It's not that far, it's only just a few blocks. He can just walk to it except of waiting in the school.

I'm going there. He replied, then puts his phone back at his pocket. He holds the strap on his bag, as he starts to walk down the staircase. But then the sky roared, and rain starts to drastically fall.

"Are you kidding me?" The boy groaned, annoyed, as he walks back to the front door of the school. He pursed his lips together as he stretches his arm, feeling the cold droplets of rain collide with his light-colored skin.

Sometimes he'd wonder, what was the actual color of his skin? Is he fair-skinned, tanned, or he's a black? What is the color of his hair? His eyes?

He sighed, and holds onto his bag. He's about to go back inside the school, but then he heard a voice utter from his behind.

"Tough day, huh?" A deep, masculine voice said, almost sending shivers to the boy's spine. He turns, and saw a boy with raven hair that has different colered tips, wearing a jacket and a white shirt underneath, with some black converse.

"..yeah. And the rain just made it worse." He replied, and the boy turned his head to look at him. Their eyes met, and a splash of different colors engulfed their vision. A blinding light arises on their sight only for just a second, before slowly fading, revealing the new world that sent their breath away.

Colors..they're seeing colors.

It's beautiful, divine, and breathtaking. The taller boy actually has raven hair with blue tips at the end, tanned skin, wearing a blue jacket with a white shirt underneath, and black converse. He wears liptint and has intimidating icy blue eyes, but the way he's staring at the smaller boy is making him soft.

Meanwhile the other boy has blond hair with peach-colored skin, emerald green orbs, wearing a black shirt with a white top, blue denim pants and orange sneakers. His eyes stared back at the blue boy, both of their lips parted in shock.

This only means one thing.

They're soulmates.

"U–um.." The taller man breaks the silence, caressing the back of his neck shyly. Adrien can't help but slightly blush at their situation. The colors just enchanced their moment more.

"Are you going home?" The boy said at last.

"Yeah. But my driver is at the gas station so I'm planning to go there, but then it rains." Adrien replied with a soft voice, fidgeting with the strap on his bag.

Stay calm, stay calm! He scolded himself, not wanting to embarrass himself in front of his soulmate.

"Really? I don't have an umbrella with me, but maybe I can help you." The boy replied with a grin.

Adrien raised his eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" He asked, confused.

The boy smiled and takes off his jacket, and puts it on the top of their heads. Adrien looks at it, then at the boy, to the jacket, then back to the boy again.

"You're joking, aren't you?" He asked, but he's smiling. He's thinking that it might be because they're soulmates, but his heart feels so light, he feels so happy even that he and the boy literally just met.

The blue boy flashed another grin at him. "Do I look like I am?" He asked, then points in the rain by tilting his head. "We're just going to cross the road until we made it to the shed, then you can go walk to the station without getting wet. You don't want your driver waiting for you, right?"

Adrien chuckled, his face still flushed, as he holds onto the jacket. "Alright then," He smiled at the man, his eyes having an unidentified glint making the other boy's heart race. "Let's push through this rain." He said, his eyes soft. The other male then smiled and pulls the boy close to him.

"Ready?" He asked the smaller boy, who just nodded in reply. They bended their knees, preparing themselves, then starts to run in the rain.

Things didn't go the way it's planned, though.

They bursted out laughing, as they accidentally step on water puddles, splash water against each other using their feet, and eventually ended up getting wet in the rain instead of keeping themselves dry.

Adrien is laughing erratically, as he playfully slaps the boy's arm. "You idiot, you got us both wet!" He exclaimed, as he combed his hair with his fingers, the rain falling mercilessly at the both of them, but it's not like they care about that.

The boy laughed with him as he put his hands on his hips. He's having trouble speaking due to the loud sound of the rain, but he still managed to make his voice audible. "You're running too slow, of course we'll get wet!"

"You're running too fast!" The blond fired back, a wide smile curved across his face as he panted, catching his breath as he combed his hair again. The blue boy smirked in reply, as he looks around the place they ended up into.

"At least we managed to get in the shed." He said, and puts his hand at the blond's shoulder. "The station's over there," He pointed at the front, and Adrien sees that his car is there. "You won't get wet walking there anymore, go." The blue boy slightly pushed him, but Adrien turned to him.

"Wait!" He exclaimed, making the blue boy pause. "You're..you're my soulmate, right?" He asked, his cheeks blushing even for just saying it.

The man smiled at him. "Seems like it."

"What's your name?"

"Luka. You?" The boy, or Luka puts his hands on his pockets, his stance showing that he's clearly a chill and laid-back guy.

"Adrien. You have a nice name." The blonde replied and smiled.

Luka chuckled. "You too. Your name sounds cute." He said way too casually, making the boy blush. How can he say those things without getting embarrassed?

"A–anyway!" Adrien grabs his bag, utterly flustered because of what blue boy said, as he tries to find his phone. "You should give me your number, it will be hard for us to meet again." He said, and he finally pulls out his phone, but he noticed it got wet.

"Oh come on!" He groaned at his unbelievable misfortune, and Luka just laughed at him.

"Don't worry." He puts his hand on top on Adrien's phone, making their fingertips brush against each other. "I'm sure we'll meet again one day." He said softly.

Adrien's lips parted. "..we will?" He asked, hope evident on his voice.

Luka grinned, when was the last time he smiled this much? "I'm sure we will, now go."

The boy bit his lip and reluctantly turns away, as he stares at his car. He turned to look back at his soulmate, who gave him a wave. His heart pounded at such a small action, as he timidly waved back and finally gathered all his strength to climb inside his car.

God, his soulmate is cute.

He's still hesitant at seeing the boy trail away from his grasp, but he'll hold on to his sentiment. If fate would let them, they will meet again.

His bodyguard grunted at seeing his soaked state and immediately turns on the heater of the car, making the blond chuckle.

"Thanks." He murmured, as he grabs his comb from his bag and starts to brush his golden locks. "Also..I like your purple suit." He added casually with a sheepish grin. The said man froze for a second, then whips his head to look at him after realization hits him like a truck.

His dumbfounded expression is clearly saying, "You can see colors?"

Adrien smiled broadly in response, his face reddening once again.

Who would've thought that colors can make life this beautiful?
