Prompt: “Go back to bed before you collapse.”

Izuku's POV

When he came to he was in an unfamiliar room. Above him was a popcorn ceiling and a fan was going on low. It felt amazing against his fevered skin.

Where was he? He didn't remember much of what happened. It had been a usual night of patrolling. Nothing had happened that would have him end up in a new house.

Most likely it was one of the heroes houses as they would rather him not go to jail. Even with that he knew that he couldn't stay here. Staying here meant that there was a chance they would find out who he was. That absolutely could not happen.

So he pushed himself up from the bed and moved through the room. He was able to see for the most part despite the only light being from under the door. The fever was making his head spin and twice he nearly collapsed. Just trying to get to the door was a challenge.

As he reached the door he paused trying to catch his breath. His chest felt as if an elephant was sitting on it. He must be sick. Damn it had been a long time since he had been sick. And he didn't have any medicine at his trailer on the beach.

Shakily he opened the door and walked out unsteadily. The light was bright and distracting to the young vigilante. His head pounded with pain. Shaking it only made the world spin and he had to lean against the wall.

How was he supposed to get home? No he couldn't focus on the how's. If he pushed his body he should be able to make it.

Izuku walked forward struggling to put one foot in front of the other. Only to bump into something that was too soft to be a wall. Too warm.

Looking up he found Tsukauchi Naomasa staring down at him. A deep frown marred the man's face. This was not who he was expecting. This was the detective's apartment?

The detective said as he steadied Izuku, "Kiru what are you doing out of bed? You have a bad fever and it needs medicine to go down."

Izuku weakly pushed at the man as he slurred, "I haf to go back. Leaf me alone, Detective."

Gentle cool hands kept him from getting away and on his feet. Part of Izuku wanted to stay there. To not move as cool hands were relief on his fevered skin.

Tsukauchi shook his head as he said, "Oh no you don't. Go back to bed before you collapse.”

"No," denied Izuku.

Tsukauchi groaned. Before the boy could react the detective grabbed him up from under the arms. Easily he was pulled to the detective's chest. A gentle hand raked through his curls soothingly.

Izuku couldn't find the strength in him to struggle. The fever was draining him of his energy.

Tsukauchi said in a low rumble, "Go back to sleep. You were lucky it was Eraserhead that brought you here. He could have taken you to jail."

Izuku only groaned in response. Of course he knew that he could have been taken to jail. He didn't understand why he wasn't. Maybe the hero and detective have a small, very small soft spot for him.

Tsukauchi placed him back on the bed as he said, "Go back to sleep, kid. You can go home when you're feeling better."

"Fank you," slurred Izuku. Then the world went dark as he fell back to sleep. Unaware of the gentle hand that still ran through his curls.
