Chapter Text

          Mention of games was forbidden at Ye's house as long as Ye Lin could remember, they never explained the real reason, only said it brought back bad memories for her parents about her older brother.
            Not Ye Qiu. The real oldest: Ye Xiu, the one who ran away from home at 15 years old.
            It was also difficult to know about him as the name was only mentioned occasionally and carefully.

            But Ye Lin never worried about it, she never missed playing games either, she was a prodigy pianist since she was 7 and the best student in her school.
            Her parents and brother were proud of her and, for an 11-year-old girl from a powerful family, that was the only thing that really mattered.

            Wang Ryu looked at her best friend, wondering at the normality she used when she said that.

        It was at age 12 that Ye Lin fell in love with Glory.

         -So, you already know what name you're going to use? - Ryu asked while Xiao Lin created the avatar. - Ye… autumn? But you liked Tyranny so autumn wouldn't be a good idea.
        -Why? - Ye Lin was genuinely confused. Ryu just closed the glory and opened a new window.

          That's how at the age of 12, Ye Lin became more like Ye Xiu and began to act like him, without even remembering how he acted.
          With only 2 months playing, Autumn Falls was already a highlight on the eighth server along with Dragon Blade, despite only one of them having chosen their class .Xiao Lin got used to researching and studying about Glory.

        Guides and chats about the game became a hobby, She also loved jotting down strategies that she saw the pros use with their class or teams to try to use in her style of play.

       -Research? - LinLin replied uncertainly but with a shrug, which made Ye Qiu curse how similar the reaction was to his twin brother. He was going to lose two brothers to Glory, it was official.
         -Glory?!? - spoke in an irritated whisper.
         -It's just a game, Gege, my grades are still the best in the class and I got even better on the piano after I started to play… - She began to explain herself but was interrupted by a hug from her brother.

         -Okay, LinLin, just don't leave us like him and I won't tell them anything. - Ye Lin knew that “he” was Ye Xiu, the one who had fled in his place, and “they” were their parents.
And Ye Qiu knew that the things Ye Xiu took when he ran away were his, Ye Lin knew that too even though their parents had no idea, and he also knew that his twin did that to prevent him from running away.

          He understood why now, because he would do the same if he were Ye Lin, and he was grateful that Ye Xiu had done this because he couldn't imagine not seeing his little sister grow up.
       It was at that moment, before the age of 13, Ye Lin knew that she loved Glory, very much, but she would always love her family more.

        At 13 years old, Ye Lin already mastered almost everything in most classes, but was still unable to choose just one. How could she choose to be just a launcher and be without her sword or her pistols?

           He couldn't see himself in a world where he couldn't fight hand-to-hand combat with his Desert Dust influenced style or fight without his Battle mage style that was a copy of the One Autumn Leaf style. But that was turning into a downside, carrying several different weapons for each class was affecting her speed in the game.

         It wasn't a big issue at the time, as she had a very high APM thanks to the piano, but it was uncomfortable to keep changing all the time.

        She started researching it more often and that's how she discovered two things: How to create silver weapons and a forgotten class.
       The unspecified.
      Characters that didn't select a specific class and used attacks of all, most of them were gone after an update that nerfed them, but it was still possible to play that way if you had the skill.

        "We didn't want to steal your BOSS" - the leader begged after the two finished off the rest of his team, leaving him alone with those two- Please don't kill me, if I die now I'll lose many levels...
         The fans changed from sword to two assassin's daggers, one of Ye Lin's favorite classes.
          -You are more cruel than Ye Qiu. - he said already regretting the loss of his items.
          Autumn falls hesitated, Ryu knew she had taken that as a compliment and the leader thought for a second that she was going to spare him, then a message appeared on the side of his screen.

       Ryu couldn't believe it when she told him, but after a while he also connected the dots and it all made sense, and he swore to keep it a secret. That day, they were just leveling up Autumn falls and Dragon Blade who were close to reaching level 45 and still needed materials so Ye Lin could finish the sword and could level up the fans when an unknown player approached them.

     Sleeping water : Hi, can we talk?

         The message appeared above his head simultaneously with friend requests for both of them. Ryu accepted and Ye Lin refused.

      -Thanks for accepting, Dragon Blade. - the player said activating the proximity audio. - Well, that's not my account. It belongs to our guild leader on this server.

      Autumn Falls: I hope it's not a request to join the guild.

        Ye Lin sent in the private making Dragon Blade laugh.

       He and Ye Qiu found it impressive how close she and the older twin had come in such a short time, but after watching their conversations even the boy had to agree: Ye Lin and Ye Xiu were 100% compatible.

       Autumn Falls played in the Heavenly Domain with One Autumn leaf whenever the two had time and Su Mucheng, as well as Ryu, also joined them frequently.
       The Pro Dancing Rain Player also loved Ye Lin, treated her like a little sister, which made Ye Xiu jealous sometimes and made Ye Lin smile from ear to ear.
Ryu was happy to see her best friend like this since she didn't have many friends, she was nice to everyone and they were nice to her but they were just that: Colleagues.

       -So that's it, class, you're free! See you on Monday.
        As soon as the teacher released the class, Ye Lin gathered everything in seconds and was already at the door waiting for him.

         A few seconds later, she got a call from her.

             Everything was perfect and Ye Lin could only think that this was the best birthday of her life, that she could live to be 100 and still remember her 14th birthday.
           Then came the first rookie who wanted to challenge Ye Qiu, the battle mage player went to prepare.

           -That's what I came for. - Ye Lin said getting even more excited.
           -To see newbies get crushed? Ryu asked raising an eyebrow.
            -To see rookies crushed by Him.- She replied smiling and the other two laughed.
    She was more than happy to see this from the stands, but it was at this point that one of the organizers approached them.
           -Excuse me, area A, row 18, number 19.- he said examining her seat and then spoke lower - Are you Miss Ye Lin?
     Ye Lin looked at her lost older brother before nodding.
         -I was asked to take you to your brother. - It took a minute for her to think.

          She got up in silence and followed the man to where Ye Xiu was. When she got there he was already sitting in front of the computer but without the headphones.

           -A’Lin? - the eldest said when he saw that she was insecure. He just approached slowly and put his hand on her shoulder - Happy birthday, Meimei.
         She just watched him, still silent. It was like the twin who lived with her but a little different. The clothes were by Excellent Era and the less polished manner showed that he was used to dealing with BOSS in the virtual sense and not the BOSS of companies.
         Ye Lin just hugged him, Ye Xiu was surprised but really grateful that she accepted him.
        -I missed you.
        -I spoke to you yesterday, A’Lin - he joked - We talked on the cell less than an hour ago.
        -I'm not talking about that. - She said still with her head on her brother's chest, and he understood.
        -I'm sorry I wasn't there. - He said caressing her long hair. - It's my only regret involving running away from home.
        -But I'm proud to be your meimei.

       The cute moment was interrupted by the challenger's voice, asking if the Senior was having a problem with the equipment. Ye Xiu just sat back and put the headphones on, logging into his account.

      Then they started the fight, Ye Lin praising the combos and complaining when he missed anything minor, plus the two analyzing the rookie's moves.
      The Winner was One Autumn Leaf. 

       -Thanks for the chance, Senior Ye. - the opponent thanked - It was an honor to fight with a god of glory like you.
   Silence until a female voice responds softly,
       -If you want to call it a fight... -
    Ye Xiu cleared her throat and then Ye Lin realized that the microphone had been opened, she held back her laughter.
       -Oh, sorry for speaking out loud. - She replied not denying the statement - I didn't realize they had opened the audio line.
       -Okay… - was the only answer on the other side. He recognized that he couldn't really call it a fight when it was at best a hobby for the god Ye, but then he noticed something else. - Who are you?

         Everyone shared the same thought “She is the female version of God Ye”.
       - It's your birthday ..? - the other side asked the question everyone wanted to ask.
        -Yeah.- she replied pleasantly - My gift was to watch All Stars in person and the other gift was Gege bringing me to watch it from here, I'm sorry you heard the comment.         -They can take off the masks if they want. - The captain commented - There are no cameras here.

       Ye Lin sighed and took hers off, Ryu also removed his mask right away.
       -Thankfully, I don't know how Ge stays with this for so long.

           Ryu really hated the fanfics, as did Ye Qiu, but she couldn't do anything about it and neither could they, other than stop being overprotective.
        But the best happenings were the interview with the pros afterwards and the conspiracy theories in the glory chats.
         -So, we are here with Huang Shaotian, vice captain of Blue Rain - the interviewer was smiling from ear to ear, everyone loved to interview him. - So, the biggest news in the world of glory now is Senior Ye's sister. Have something to say about it?

         -Actually, you owe me a PK! Don't be like Old Ye!!

            -I'll cancel the contract. - The sentence hurt. It was revolting to be thrown out and sabotaged by the team you helped create, but what hurt the most was knowing that retiring was the best option.
              It hurt because he would leave Su Mucheng in that place alone and it hurt because he would have to give up One Autumn Leaf.
              And it hurt because he knew how devastated Ye Lin was going to be.
But he wouldn't stay as a training partner, that was out of the question, and Ye Xiu knew that his younger sister would also support him in that.
             So when he gave up One Autumn Leaf and walked out of that building, Ye Xiu was determined to come back. It was snowing outside.
            It's true when they say that when autumn ends, winter comes. Not just in the literal sense.

              Ye Lin was playing Heavenly domain alone that night if Ye Xiu was going to join it would be in a few minutes but he didn't respond to her QQ messages so the girl wasn't sure.
             She stopped playing when she got a call from Su Mucheng. The older one was crying.
              -Mumu? What was there? - she was immediately worried. - Did something happen to Ge?
              - He retired. - She said in a really sad voice. Ye Lin froze.
              -What? - she had to have heard wrong. Not even the Excellent Era was so dumb as to get rid of the one thing that kept the team minimally functional.
              -He didn't have any money, so he's going to retire. - Mucheng began to calm down to explain the situation, then told every detail of what had been said.
             Sun Xiang was a strong rookie, but he was a Berserker! For the love of Glory! What's the problem with that administration?

           Autumn Falls reached the level of the glory gods 3 weeks later, even though some players considered her a goddess before. The Glory community started calling her the Goddess of Mime because of the way she copied other pros' game modes and merged with her own.
         It was Han Wenqing who placed her in the ranks of professional players and the gods. Their reaction was hilarious and raised several questions:

• 1- How did Old Han know Autumn Falls?
• 2- Why is she here if she is not a professional?
• 3- Why were so many professionals treating her as if they already knew her?

         The truth was, it looked like she had been adopted by almost everyone she knew because of her brother. And honestly, Ye Lin was loving it.
         Then came the day they announced his retirement. The group was filled with messages asking for an explanation and Ye Lin let Su Mucheng handle it.

          Ye Lin turned off the TV upset.
          -He's irreplaceable. - She complained - How can they think that Autumn Falls would be able to replace him?

         Sometime later, Huang Shaotian had a match in Ye Xiu's town and said that he, actually Yu Wenzou, could take Ye Lin along for her to see the match live (and visit Ye “Qiu”)
        It was a fact that Wenzou and Shaotian liked the little girl as if she were their daughter or younger sister, so it wasn't that difficult to convince her mother and Ye Qiu to authorize the trip.
        And It was almost disturbing to see how easily the two of them managed to find an excuse to tell her father.
       So Ye Lin was sitting in the Excellent Era stadium watching Blue Rain's landslide victory.
       Blue Rain couldn't be compared to 301, they were currently in second place. His place in the qualifiers didn't need to be discussed; They were one of the most popular picks for the championship title. Comparing second to the last place in the Great Age, the difference between them was simply like heaven and earth. Excellent Era changed his list.        At that same moment, one of Blue Rain's players, Song Xiao, appeared looking for her.

        The clock said it was midnight. Liu Hao sat tensely in front of his computer. He didn't move. He didn't speak. Lord Grim's message was still there looking at him.
           "How is he going to break my record?" This question was spinning around in Liu Hao's head again and again. He thought and thought, but even so, he still couldn't find the answer.

           Meanwhile, at the Cyber Café, Ye Lin went to call Shaotian: "First you come for a try. Ge will show you how the strategy works."
          "Fast." - Huang Shaotian was extremely bored.
          Outside the Courtyard of Bones were Lord Grim, Autumn Queen, Cleansing Mist, Soft Mist, Steamed Bun Invasion, and Huang Shaotian's Level 27 Blade Master: Flowing Tree.

          Lord Grim introduced him to the group and Steamed Bun asked about Liu Hao's fake account, Autumn Queen felt bad for having to tell him the truth as BunBun seemed to have clung to the “Noob” who had trained with him.
         “He has something today and can't come” - was the only answer Ye Xiu gave.
        This upset BunBun and he quickly changed his loyalty, which left Ye Lin worried.
         Huang Shaotian started asking about the new strategy and Mucheng asked who he was to Ye Lin in the private. She knew it wasn't Ryu, even though he was a Blade Master.
         -Shaotian - Autumn Queen replied in the group audio.
         As expected, no one recognized him and the Ye’s laughed as Steamed Bun started asking what his sign was and singing.
         After finally showing the strategy, Huang Shaotian began to assess the EE record.
        -We can improve in 30 seconds with this… - then he realized that if the record was so high then they had used Ye Qiu's strategy. -How did they get it?
      "That Hateful Sword is Liu Hao." Ye Lin typed in annoyance. “He learned our strategy and then used it with EE to beat our record”
        Everyone was revolted, with a good reason.
        Then Ye Xiu turned to Shaotian and finished his sister's explanation.
         “Liu Hao used a low-level account. He has been with us for the past few days.”
        "Did you find out a long time ago?" Su Mucheng asked.
         "Yup!" Said Ye Xiu.
        "So why did you keep bringing him?" Su Mucheng asked.
         “Professional level player! How could we reject this type of player!" Ye Lin stated.
        "Did you know too? “ - Mucheng was shocked. Even Ye Lin had realized it was her teammate and she hadn't.

        "How bad!" Huang Shaotian said: “You dragged him to the dungeon, so his condition was all ruined. Did you see today's match? This guy looked like an idiot. It looked like he was seeing team competition as the Courtyard of Bones. Sister Su, did you have a meeting to criticize him?”

          “32 seconds…….. 32 seconds……” Liu Hao hasn't moved a muscle since Lord Grim's message. He hadn't even seen the stack of messages Steamed Bun Invasion had sent him.           Even though she publicly said that Autumn Falls was not a replacement for One Autumn Leaf and Ye Qiu, she was still mysterious and well-known in glory.

          Why wouldn't she use it as a weapon?

         Furthermore, it was public knowledge that Autumn Falls was the “mascot” of the alliance teams.
        Conspiracy theories would say that Autumn Falls would be Ye Qiu's mysterious sister. Everyone who knew the truth would laugh when people completely ignored these theories.

      -I have to leave, Grim. - She replied looking at her father, unsure. Her calling him Grim and not Ge didn't go unnoticed.

      Ye Lin turned off the computer and looked at her card, it was now or never.
      -Dad.
     -How long? - was the only thing he said. How long has she been playing , how long has she been lying, how long has she disobeyed him.
       -Since the age of 12- Ye Lin looked at the ground. -But I would never run away from home like Ge.

       He wasn't really mad, just worried. The last thing he wanted was to lose his daughter, Ye Lin was their house light and his little princess.

         And that was the first step in bringing that family back together, and it was the day their father finally understood that, for Ye Xiu and Ye Lin, Glory would always be more than just a game.

            Ye Qiu was happy to hear about their father talking (or trying to) with Ye Xiu.
             But he was upset that Ye Lin didn't have time to help him learn more about Glory.

           He and his sister (along with Ryu) decided that Ye Qiu would be an exorcist. His avatar name was Bright Autumn Wind and he was already at level 30 on the 9th server.
           Ye Qiu was alone on that server most of the time since Autumn Falls and Dragon Blade had come from the 8th and were in the Heavenly Domain, but Ryu always took time to play with him using an alt and Ye Lin gave him hints in real life.
          He has a fast APM.
         Thanks to the eternal piano lessons.
         He was making himself known little by little, but he had only one goal. Every stolen BOSS, every completed dungeon, and every formed party was for him to achieve one goal: Go to Heavenly Domain and play with his brothers.

        The younger twin of the Ye family finally truly understood the passion that glowed in his younger sister's eyes when she played.
         She and Ye Xiu were right when they said Glory was more than a game.
         He wasn't CEO here, he wasn't the younger twin struggling to be enough to replace his older brother, he didn't need to be formal and respectful.
        Ye Qiu just needed to be himself.
          And level up because Glory wasn't a one-man game, it was a game where you could share your glory and your passion with others.

       With her father supporting Ye Lin playing, life got easier.

         No more lies, it was as if she'd been freed from an enormous burden.
        She even started participating in informal glory contests for her age. At first, Ye Lin thought it would be unfair since she was a goddess at the professional level, but she was there to have fun.

       Obviously, Ye Lin only used Autumn Queen. Ryu decided to compete in the junior doubles championship with her.
      He had started playing with alts, lots of alts anyway. The boy had a Blade Master and a GosthBlade to each server(which Ye Lin thought was unnecessary.)

       For that reason, he had to choose one. The chosen one turned out to be a blade master, he was in Tyranny's guild on the tenth server and was called King Of Leaves
       Was it too flashy a name? Of course, but Ryu lived with Ye Lin and played with Ye Xiu, the girl couldn't blame him.

       They were in a doubles challenge that day.
       The pair had just beaten another pair, High Beauty and Upper Darkness, a launcher and a battle mage when two teenagers approached them. The girl had dark hair and black eyes, the boy was the same but had a green-colored streak in his hair too.
     They looked like brother and sister, maybe twins. Fraternal and not identical like the Ye Twins.
      -Hello, you are Autumn Queen and King of Leaves, right? - the girl asked. Ye Lin blushed when she noticed that the nicks matched, even though she didn't do it on purpose.
      -Yes. - Ryu confirmed without embarrassment. - I'm Wang Ryu and this is Ye Lin.
       -I'm Gao Mei and this is my twin brother, Gao Yin. - Gao Mei introduced himself.
        -It's a pleasure to meet you. - Gao Yin added before turning to Ye Lin - Sorry to ask, but how did you do that last attack? I couldn't even see straight so fast...
        Ye Lin smiled.
      It was on that day that she gained two new best friends.

       The Gao Twins were funny and got along well. Ye Lin and Ryu got close to them easily.

        Even more considering that the two hated the current EE, except for Su Mucheng.

      Ye Lin found it funny how two teenagers had noticed that there was something suspicious about Ye "Qiu"'s retirement while several adults and Alliance commentators thought it was all right.
      The two always made it obvious that their loyalty as fans lay with God Ye and Goddess Su.

      The team, mainly Su Xiang and that vice-captain “Lio Hai”, could go screw themselves and be relegated.
      Ye Lin and Ryu both looked at each other seriously when they heard Gao Yin saying the vice-captain's name wrong, before starting to laugh like crazy.

        Of course, the younger Ye had to recount her discovery in the QQ group of professionals (The one without the EE). Everyone thought it was hilarious and Huang Shaotian promised to call the player that way the next time they saw each other.

---

       -So, why did you start playing Glory? - Gao Mei asked suddenly one day, they had known each other for almost a month now and Pais Ye loved the twins.
      -I don't know why I started. It just… felt right. - Ye Lin replied. - But I continued because it was a place where I was just me. I don't know if you'll understand...
        Gao Mei stared at the girl she already considered her best friend for a few seconds before smiling and returning to the game.
        -No. I get it.

        -You're going to take Rourou and take the opportunity to train her, right? - Ye Lin asked when Ye Xiu explained how he was going to fight Tiny Werb for materials and make Tang Rou fight them first. - Be careful Jiexi doesn't steal her from you.

       Ye Xiu did not respond.

        Ye Xiu sighed and reconnected to the game. Ye Lin quickly emerged.

      -Then? You were off and didn't respond. - she said innocently.
      -You're a little monster, A’Lin - he sighed - I found out that my boss also supports HanYe. Does the couple have a name? You guys are crazy.
       -I don't ship anything, except my father and mother in Blue Rain, I was asking what you think of him and that's it.

      Ye Xiu saw Autumn Queen getting off and called Tang Rou to go soon.

        Ye Lin actually disconnected and went to see one of the dramas Mucheng had recommended, she was almost actually going to sleep when she got a message from Tang Rou.

           Ye Lin laughed looking at her cell phone. She and Ryu would deny it, she because of age and Ryu because he was… Ryu.
 
LinLin: I think it was a decision you would make, it's not bad or good, Rourou, it's just… it shows where your train of thought is, you're a prodigy and even though Ge is retired, he's still the best at teaching you.

Rourou: Ye Xiu told one of the players to change classes.

LinLin: I think I even know which one it was. Good night, Rourou.

Rourou: Good evening, LinLin.

          Ye Lin smiled at the message. Thanks to Ye Xiu and Glory, she could tell she had a huge family, big brothers on all teams, and two amazing big sisters. (Chun Yunxiu hadn't earned that position yet.)

         She would be eternally grateful that Ye Xiu had brought Su Mucheng and Tang Rou into her life.
        And even more grateful to Ryu for showing her the best thing in her life: Glory

       The next day, Autumn Queen went to watch Tiny Werb fight Lord Grim and Soft Mist. The pro team was totally crushed, but Ye Xiu seemed satisfied with the amount of material he had.
       -When it was my time, I got my materials fairly and honestly. - Autumn Queen commented remembering when Try Thousand was still evolving.
       - Weren't you known for being more bloodthirsty than Ye Qiu? - Jiexi asked her getting the attention of the others.

    Anyone more bloodthirsty than Ye Qiu? Was this really possible? Could a professional player achieve this level of lack of morale?

         -Hehe, but I was honest and fair. - She replied laughing. - Jiexi-ge, you will ruin my image for your team.
        -Not much image to spoil, Little Ye.
        Players who weren't fighting now stopped what they were doing to observe the interaction.
        Little Ye like…

       -Ok, Ok. - Ye Lin replied giving up - You won't introduce me.
        Wang Jiexi's alternate account turned to professional players.

      Tiny Werb players were in shock. There was very little information about Autumn Falls other than the rumors.

     Wang Jiexi ran out of materials to pay Ye Qiu quickly, and panicked. He even asked Ye Lin to try to convince her brother to lower the price.
    She just replied that it wouldn't happen and reminded him of something important:
    They were professional players. Losing and winning were their jobs. They couldn't just keep fighting nonstop.
 
     They also had to analyze. Both the recordings of the matches and the tips Ye Lin sent her every night with notes about the team.
 
      As a result, during the days when they had run out of materials, Tiny Werb spent the night reviewing all the recordings they had collected.
      Ye Xiu was naturally not worried. If no one came looking for him, then he would continue to level off, and Ye Lin would join them when she could, bringing Ryu into an alternate account sometimes.

     After a few days, they reached Level 30. During this time period, the 22nd Glory match of the season took place. The Excellent Team Era finally lived up to the hopes of their fans and made a beautiful match with 9 points to 1 of the opponent.

    In comparison, Team Tiny Werb came out with the opposite. Against a mid-level team, they only scored three points.

    Wang Jiexi made a well-spoken statement about this mentioning that the secret special training they were doing had affected their conditions but it wasn't enough.
    No one knew if it was true or false, and there were other minor complications as well.
    Ye Lin did the only thing she could.

   Ye Xiu was about to go online when his cell phone, which he had bought just so Ye Lin and Su Mucheng could talk to him in an emergency, started ringing.
    He read the name and immediately answered: Ye Lin.

    His sister hadn't been online on either account for almost a month, neither of Ryu's infinite alters had been online either, and neither of them responded to his QQ messages, so Ye Xiu had reason to be worried.

    -Xiu-ge.- his sister said as soon as he answered, she looked like she was crying. - Do you still smoke?

     He didn't understand the question, he was too preoccupied to think about it.

      -Ye Lin! What happened? -asked worried- Are you okay? Are our parents okay? Ye Qiu? Ryu?
     -Rourou said that you smoke a lot the other day.- The youngest ignored the questions- Do you still smoke?

      -What..?

     - Do you still smoke?

     - He smoked a lot.- She continued- But it never seemed like a big deal… at the end of last month, he was hospitalized...

      He heard her sobbing and wished he could hug his sister.

         - He had a tumor in his lung. Very advanced and no one had noticed because he didn't have regular appointments. - Ye Lin laughed bitterly - Uncle Wang was hospitalized until two hours ago, he stopped breathing and never came back.

         Ye Xiu was silent. Ye Lin continued.

    -I was staying at the hospital with Ryu and his mother in my free time… I just got back home and they called saying… - The sentences were interrupted by tears. - Then I remembered you.        He finally understood the meaning of the call.

        Ye Lin had just lost someone who was important to her and realized that she could lose him just as well.
       He felt terrible for worrying her like that.

      - I promise I won't be the next, Linlin. - He said decidedly. Tang Rou approached to ask why he hadn't gone online yet and saw that Ye Xiu was on the phone.

       - Dad says not to make promises you can't keep. - she grumbled, stopping crying.

      - I'll keep that promise. - He repeated - You will not lose me because of cigarettes.

       Ye Lin was silent and he continued.
        -I'm quitting smoking.-he said. Anything to keep his little Autumn from suffering, and he was sure that Chen Guo would be happy to help him in the process, as she was the one who hated this habit the most.

       -You're..?- She never sounds so young and full of hope.

       -All for you, Autumn. - He joked and then continued talking to her until Ye Lin was calm.

        "Is the funeral tomorrow?" he asked after a while.

       -In the afternoon - she commented sadly- He wanted to see me competing… but he can only see me in junior championships.

       -When you win in a real team, you can dedicate your victory to him. - He said nostalgically - That's what I did.

       - Uncle Wang supported me before our father even knew about Glory… - she joked - Ryu lost his father and best friend… I lost my second father figure. It gets easier?
         He thought for a moment.
        -No, but the pain diminishes and only the memories remain.

      Ye Xiu heard his sister smile over the phone.

       -Thank you for listening to me. - she thanked - Don't play until late.

        He laughed and the two hung up.
        Ye Xiu went up to the apartment and took all the cigarettes he had, waking up Chen Guo who was sleeping on the couch.

        -What's all this for? she asked seeing what he had gathered.

        -Changes. - He replied and threw them all in their trash.
      Chen Guo smiled satisfied and didn't even ask why just feel happy for this sudden action.

         Ye Lin was exhausted emotionally and physically, Ryu wasn't much different, but he was playing strong for his mother and best friend.
       

      The most unexpected of the day was Wang Jiexi (no blood connection with the deceased Wang) who, wanting to cheer the two up, took them to spend the end of the day training with Tiny Werb after Mucheng sent the address of the house (mansion) from Ryu.

      It really cheered the duo up, even if just a little, and Ye Lin helped train them with her unspecialized knowledge.
In the end, it was good for them.
