Day-13 Prompt: Healing
It was a normal team dinner for the united Team 7. From the three-member team, it has now become a team of five members including Yamato and Sai. They were victorious in the war against Madara Uchiha and Kaguya Otsutsuki.
Naruto had finally reciprocated Hinata's feelings. Sasuke had also come out of his shell and started dating Sakura after seeing her growth. Sakura was on cloud seven when Sasuke had asked her out in his own Sasuke-ese way. Kakashi was inaugurated as the Sixth Hokage unwillingly but that didn't stop him from reading his porn (ignoring Kakashi's protests of "It is not porn but erotic literature"). Yamato was in his usual indifferent mood. Sai was learning to get a hold on human emotions but didn't stop his habit of giving people absurd nicknames.
The members of Team 7 were sitting around a table in Sakura's house with drinks in their hands. They were discussing about the war. Sasuke would soon leave on his journey of redemption for atoning to his sins.
"And then, I heard that Sakura-chan kissed me and brought me back to life. You are awesome, Sakura-chan, 'ttebayo." Naruto yelled and drank his sake in one audible gulp.
At his declaration, Sasuke narrowed his mismatched eyes on Naruto and then looked at Sakura for explanation. Sakura laughed nervously while drinking her sake thinking that the topic is changed.
"Haha thanks, Naruto. But it was actually CPR."
"Yeah, Sakura-chan. But you pressed your lips against mine so that means I am your first kiss. Take that, teme."
Everyone knew that Naruto no more had his childhood infatuation on Sakura but the fact that he had been Sakura's first kiss enraged Sasuke.
Sasuke looked at his girlfriend for explanation. She looked at him hesitantly and gave an awkward smile trying to steer the topic to something else. Instead, he silently took a seat behind the counter, from where he could see her clearly. Sasuke wasn't the one to be budged so she conceded.
"Well, I had to give him the CPR to heal. After he lost the Kyuubi, his heart stopped working and Naruto was the one who could stop the war."
"Hn. I see." Sasuke took a sip from his cup of sake and looked at Sakura with something deep in his eyes.
Sakura gulped unconsciously at the intensity of his eyes and shivers passed down her spine when she looked at him looking at her with a smirk hidden under the sake cup.
Naruto was already inebriated and laid his cheek on her table after passing out. Kakashi was sitting on his chair while flipping the pages on his book occassionally. Sai and Yamato had already left early due to their prior engagements.
Sakura saw Sasuke moving towards her. His cheeks were flushed due to the alcohol. She became stiff before relaxing when he took her hand and entwined their fingers together.
He leaned towards her and whispered, "Sakura, I am hurt. Heal me."
She looked at him with concern and asked softly, "Where are you hurt, Sasuke-kun?"
Sasuke pulled away his hand and pointed a finger at his lips before saying, "I am hurt here."
Sakura understood the implications and her face turned into a shade of pink. She thought that he was spurting nonsense because he was drunk. Sasuke wasn't the one who normally behaved like this.
"What happened, Sakura? I thought you would heal me." He tilted his head at her curiously.
She leaned towards him and gave a small peck on his lips. She was aware that Kakashi and Naruto were still in the room.
Their interaction wasn't as quiet as they thought it to be. Kakashi looked at them from the corner of his eyes and his eyes crinkled in delight. His cute little genins had finally grown up. Now, he was only waiting to give away his Hokage hat to Naruto. Speaking of Naruto, he was still passed out. He held his orange collar and shook him awake.
"Mmm, wha happ'nd Kaka-sensei?"
"Come Naruto. Let's go now."
"'Kay."
He wrapped Naruto's arms around his shoulder and took him outside after waving a goodbye to Sasuke and Sakura whose face was still red either from being drunk or being flustered. He didn't care anyway.
After the door was slammed close, Sasuke looked at Sakura beside him with a crooked smirk (which didn't have much effect because of his flushed cheeks) and said, "I am still hurt. Heal me now with lots of kisses."
Sakura gaped at him with shock but obeyed soon after.
The simples kisses turned into a lot more later that night.
